In the jars this strain has a strong, delicious and unexpected aroma of smoked cheese and black pepper. I have never encountered a strain that smelled this way and it is hard not to keep opening the jar and having a sniff. Smoking a joint, she has a lightly cheesy "weed" flavour on the inhale and spicy with a hint of berries on the exhale. The effect is very narcotic and mellow, and cheerful without being giddy. It doesn't knock me down but it slows my pace. It also brings on the munchies pretty good. I expected this to be on the Indica side and harvested (day 77) with predominantly milky trichomes (and maybe 5-7% amber - no clear) after removing shade leaves (day 74) and putting into darkness until chop. Taken further I think this strain has strong couch-lock potential. Overall, I really like this strain. It relaxes me and takes away my anxiety, but (at this harvest point) doesn't root me to the spot. Come bed time I can easily drift off to sleep.

Intense sweet fruity smell in jar. Flavour is strong, fruity, sweet and sour on inhale; berries and sugar on the exhale. Effect is heady, smiley and thoughtful. There is a creative energy that is not racy or electric. After a while these effects settle into a non-lethargic mind/body relaxation. Medium-high strength and duration. A very nice strain, enjoyable during the day, but a bit too Sativa for my tastes and I find myself falling asleep later using this strain.

A really nice strain. Around 70/30 indica effects, a heavy hitter from the start starting out with heady sativa effects which mellow into wonderful relaxation. Strong flavours of diesel and exotic fruits. Easy on lungs and throat. The colours came out towards end of cycle and after dried the ground buds had beautiful purples and pinks.

I have nothing to complain about thus far, any issues are likely my own doing.

A nice 50/50 hybrid, feels heavy on the eyes and head, but more relaxing and thoughtful than sedating, good for household chores and goes nice with music. Tastes spicy and earthy with hints of cloves and diesel. I would guess about 16%-18%. Not my favourite tasting, but I like the effect.

This plant seemed super sensitive to nutes, so not sure.

Oh, man! Well, it has been a couple of weeks of ongoing disasters...computer died, a flood, and on. Anyway, the relevant disaster here is that the main stem snapped (the main stem of this plant was noticeably slim and flimsy), partly my clumsiness, partly my cats getting in the way (as usual). I yelled the F-word very loudly. So, again, an early harvest... Anyways, after all the trouble that I thought had something to do with the roots - on inspection the roots were pretty healthy looking, some nice healthy, white mycorrhizae colonies. I am now pretty positive that the problem was severe nutrient burn - knowledge that I am know applying to the Magnum which is still going. I think it would be worth trying this strain again with almost no nutrients and see how it goes. I put ease of growing as hard for myself, though it would be probably be easier for an more experienced grower. After dried and cured for a week I had 11.4 grams of small, airy buds and another 7.9 grams of sticky trim. Aroma/flavour is a mix of citrus, herby(spicy) and woody. Strength and effect is mild sativa, would no doubt be considerably stronger if she had a couple more weeks to mature.

Royal Dwarf

She stayed very small, a dwarven dwarf at 9.5 inches on the main stem (and surprisingly 10 inches on a side branch). Another website states that this is one of 3 known phenotypes of this strain. The calyxes are quite big, while the trichomes are tiny. I am disappointed in the yield, but the buds were very airy which I have read is a negative of using CFLs. Smoke test - strength is mild, but effect is pleasant, with a light relaxing couch lock that doesn't overwhelm, but is ideal for movie time. Hoping a short cure will strengthen it a bit. Overall, it was fun to grow and seemed to go fairly well. My next grow will be using my new LED light, so I am excited to see how that goes.
