@CRiSPrGrow, the breeder says 2-3 weeks of Veg but either way, every grow I’ve followed who bought these exact seeds ended up only growing photos. Growers Choice says because “it has only 10% ruderalis” that they “may have to be flipped “ well, 90% of the time growers have to flip because of the shit job they did with the Autoflower breeding process. I’m not going to waste my time like all those other growers, especially after one dude vegged for 8 weeks and only ended with 1.5 ounces dried. He was an experienced grower with the exact same strain from the exact same breeder. Screw that. I looked up growers choice grows on reddit once some growers on here warned me about it. Wish I did that before I bought these.
@MissCannabitch, I transplanted from a small cup to one bigger pot. As long as you are going from the same soil to the same soil the shock should be minimal. Also if these were truly auto flower seeds then starting in the final pot would be good but these plants are growing at the same pace as my photo plant. I think the smaller cup helps establish the roots better. I'm still a newbie at this though.
@MissCannabitch, ya pissed me off too just because I had a photo plant that I wanted to train and veg for like 6 months to put outside in the summer. When I called them they were like, oh just flip because it's only 10% ruderalis...... Misleading but whatever lol.
Because of this problem I ended up flipping the entire room.
Good luck to your grow!
@MissCannabitch, thanks. Seems to be working out and growing nicely.
They we're responsive to me I just think they don't inform well enough. They explained that this auto is only 10% ruderalis and that you may need to trigger flower by flipping. That's jnfo they should give up front instead of saying it'll flower automatically in X days.
Maybe that's the case with most autos? Not enough experience for me yet.
@Gteh420, and in terms of a better system for your next grow , try green planets system they sells starter kits that will give you your main nutrient plus 4-5 additives depending on the kit you choose . The medi one kit is nice , it comes with your base nutrient Medi One , then 4 adds Rezin , Liquid Weight , Massive Bloom and Ocean Magic . They are all organic too :)
@Gteh420, yeah but they probly sold you that light not knowing wether you were going to become a serious grower or just do it one time and stop , imagine how mad you would have been getting sold say a K5-XL750 for like 1200 $ and then not even end up liking to grow because maybe you dont have time or w.e the case may have been , I think that guy did you a solid in the sense of helping you test out the water to see if you even like it before getting seriously invested into it . I do the same man I run a hydroponics store and often times when people come in they are looking to get set up even if they tell me that money isnt an issue I still try to sell them lower priced stuff so they can try it before they go all in on it . And you are right most of those people are just in it for the money but they also know there shit man . Well atleast were I am from me and the other 2 hydroponics stores do . And I have no doubts that the community here is amazing , in anycase I wish you the best on your adventures :)
Thanks for responding and reading !
-Happy Growing!
@The_Projexx, thanks. First real grow for me so taking advice from everyone and weighing options. This community is amazing.
Local grow shop can be wrong too as they are out for profit. I took their recommendation on buying my first light and they sold me a shitty 150w blurple(actual like 60 from wall) which cost me more than a 135w quantum board I ended up getting. I told them my grow room specs and they recommended that light probably to get rid of it. I told them budget not an issue.
Lessons learned.
@Mrs_Larimar, thanks.
The guy at the local grow shop recommended it so will use it this time.
What do you recommend as an alternative for my next grow? I went very basic on nutes this time but want to include more next time around.
@experimentgreen thanks. Went ahead and used it at a quarter strength. May just go with the one dose possibly a 2nd. I see a lot of people say it's strong and not to use it with every feeding as @mrs_larimar stated also.
Definitely going to flush as I'll be making some edibles.
