I did that this year for my outdoor plants. I did a mad trim off the bottom Of all my plants. I’m glad I did. It accomplished two things; 1. More energy went to the colas as mentioned in the article. Larger and bigger colas and 2. way way Easier to harvest. No more energy spent on the little ones. I always harvested them, but no need this year 😀

By removing popcorn buds, do you mean to take off the buds of the sticks or cutting off the whole branches with popcorn buds on. I grow outside, and as mentioned they are in the bottom part of the plant. Thanks
