@gottagrowsometime, I almost always defoliate with photoperiod plants, i usually do a heavy session 3 days after 12/12 and another heavy one 3-4 weeks later, off course i very lightly defoliate in between those times as well. As for Auto flowering because it was my first i got worried about topping it but the strange thing is that the ladies reacted even better than some of my best photoperiod plants i had in the past. As for defoliating any kind of cannabis plant auto or photo it really is strain dependent best example is lemon og haze by Nirvana removing anything more than fan leafs resulted in lower yields. If you are not to heavyhanded i would say about 80% of strain's i grew loved defoliation the rest that did not were mostly sativas or sativa hybrids. i do love the SP 3000 the amount of light it produces is sick i have 2 in the tent at 25 to 75% depending on how cold it is, when i flower they both don't drop bellow 65% the weed i get out of this setup is insanely good with yields to match so f electric bills:joy:
