, late in life I run my light as close as 12-inches. When I first received the light I did some testing. HLG has a calculator that lets you convert LUX from cheap/free phone light meter. I also used the measurements from HLG and other sources. Our little board will put out nearly 1,000 PPFD at 12-inches and that is about the max for mature plants. I don't know if too much light is the cause of large leaves yellowing late in life. I think that is mostly just the lifecycle of the plant. If the plant is no longer putting on new growth, other than buds, I think it will take all the light you can give it without overheating the plant. ✌️🤛

, Thanks for that, yes same light! I just turned mine down as the plants were getting a lot of yellowing and I couldn't figure it out. So I turned down the light to try and stress them less and get them to the finish line. I always seem to have issues like this and can't tell if the light is too strong for them or if it's something else.

Great looking crop! I'm using the same light ... or at least close. A 135W QB from HLG. I noticed you said that you turned your light down near the end of the season. Why are you doing this? Not a technique I've heard of before, but it certainly seems to be working for you! Good luck with the rest of the grow.

I learned less volume... That helps too. Over saturating as described can rot away your roots.
