, I noticed the same things. Just a few weeks filled out with barely anything written. That is why I asked wuzzup? Take a look at my previous LSD-25 Diary, I ended the Harvest with a thorough Video which went from seedling to taste test with a music soundtrack. Personally, I thought it was a pretty good visual of the entire grow. I believe I was within the last 5 on the list while somebody like the diary you mentioned was the winner. Oh well, I don't grow to win prizes anyway! I won't be growing for some time as I have plenty to last a long time. I may try putting some Auto's outdoors & see how they do. Take care & Good luck!

, Thanks! Well, I feel I have done 80-90% of that which you mentioned. The one issue I have never been able to overcome is placing descriptions with the photos. I have tried yet, it never allows me to input any information.

, This from the post on the journal page where they list the winners for February: A lot of user are wondering what the criteria is for picking winners of DOM and NOM. Here is a little guide to help you win: Details. You Diary should be as complete as possible. Take pictures of each and every part of your plant that, in your opinion, is a significant indicator of a state of your grow. Fill in each week, describe your techniques, add descriptions to the images you upload, outline your setup, add a comment to each week, participate in discussions in the commetns section, include information about feeding and watering, log in wet and dry harvest weights, mention grow lights, etc. Quality images. Make sure to use a good camera, take as many pictures as you can. Turn off grow lights to take pictures (!) Add videos. Learning aspect. Teach us something! How do you mix your soil? Maybe you have a video about topping your plant? Can you share your DIY ScrOG setup? Please share this information with us, it will be your ticket to win the contests. Story. Spice it up, make it an interesting read. What challenges do you overcome while growing? Anything from mold to hurricanes in your area works! Perhaps, you grow in a special location? Is there a story about obtaining your seeds/clones? We also saw some interesting things like song of the week, DIY of the week, grow tip of the week... Make it special and it's a win! Plant. Do your best, as always. However, please note, the quality of your plant/skills is not as important as richness of your Diary. Diary of the Month is about keeping a detailed journal, not growers skills. Hope this makes sense! We are looking forward to hear your feedback in the comments section below! Peace, GD Team

, if you are running out of room (height) between your plants & the light. I have a simple method which works well to gently rearrange the stems & increase the distance between the plants & the light(s). Go to a sporting goods store & buy enough teardrop sinkers (weight is up to you) then use some sort of attachments to secure them to each branch. The weight will slowly & gently pull the branches downwards, away from the lights without the need to tie them down. Personally, I just use long-shank fish hooks. Thread the hook through the hole on the sinker or tie them together, then hook it to an area near the top of the branch. You will need to decide how heavy the sinkers should be according to how stiff the branches are. I find between a 1/2oz & 1oz work best. Hope that helps!

Hello maska420, I always like to see 'baby pictures' so, I'm checking out your diary. Can you add more info on the strain & whether they are photoperiod or automatic plants? I see you labeled them "Custom Breeder & Strain" but, nothing more than that. Or are they Mystery seeds? I notice you plan on growing them outdoors. Are they actually 7-days-old since germination? Starting them with natural sunlight from a window sill is the reason they have stretched so drastically. If I might offer some advice, get some Rooting Gel or Powder & lightly cover halfway up the stem. Then immediately transplant them to larger containers & fill the soil up past where the rooting hormone stopped. That way you can give them some stability as well as generate a larger root base. Otherwise, you will run into trouble once you plant them outdoors due to weak stems. I would also use some sort of lighting, about six inches above the plant so they don't stretch. If you put them outdoors today, the wind would blow them over, possibly killing them. Then you would need to start all over if you still have more seeds. Depending on where you are located, I don't see being able to plant them outdoors for at least another 4-6 weeks. That is another reason I would advise using some form of artificial lighting, even if its a fluorescent shop light. I wish you all the best of success!

I still don't understand how the winners are selected. Is it based upon total weight, an in-depth diary, number of photos, number of likes & comments? Or is it based upon whether or not you are using the sponsor's products?

, Here is something you might consider for the water you use. https://ormus-water.com/ormus-magnetic-traps/ Look for The Sink Trap – Econo version as it is the easiest version. ORMUS FERTILIZER for PLANTS and AGRICULTURE https://ormus-water.com/ormus-fertilizer-for-plants-and-agriculture/ Extremely easy to store a quart of water and use it as directed.

Hello
@Mrs_Larimar
, I have a non-cannabis question, more regarding Germany. Are you familar with a town called: Kneitlingen (Braunschweig/ Lower Saxony). I ask because it is said to be the hometown of a very distant relative of mine, Tyl Eulenspeigel. [Ger.,=owl-mirror] He is the inspiration for being the protagonist of a German chapbook published in 1515 with a possible background in earlier Middle Low German folklore. I have seen a statue of him, which is in the town square and if you placed my photo alongside his we appear identical. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:EULENSP1.jpg#/media/File:EULENSP1.jpg I seem to have inherited his characteristic outlook on life as well. Immortalized in chapbooks describing his practical jokes on clerics and townsfolk. "All those born with a nimble wit and a love for merry pranks and joyful life are Tylls. And the more Tylls there are born in this world, the happier it will be." -- Moritz Jagendorf The reason I ask is because there is a store/museum in the town and I would love to get a keepsake from there. If during your travels you happen upon this town, I would appreciate it very much if we could make arrangements to aquire something from this historical relative of mine.
