I'll save my green planet comments for my next grow. I'll be using GP once the soilmis depleted. I can say I've used the whole medi one lineup at about 50% the past 4 years as my go to prior to my hydro setup..
I am very impressed with the floraflex hydro setup and nutrients. Heavy solid buds with zero notable deficiencies. I had everything taken down washed, dried and my next soil run in this tent by noon.
This Gorilla grow tent by far the best tent I've used to date. Light tight zippers. Strong enough that if i lost my balance contorted to reach the poles it would hold me without collapse. I literally have done slow chin-ups in this tent before slipping on the cover. Solid as it gets. It's also has been in use since 2013. 11 years is impressive. Worth every penny..
Hi there sir Duke. I don't know how to DM you but you answered my question about the single bud that has gone really orange and of you wouldn't mind I'd like to get into it more. You sound like you know a lot about this. I have had a herm issue with another strain and when this plant was 10 days into flower no exposure to pollen happened. It is just the top 2" of one branch. It is in the near left as I look at the plant so not light . Pollination isn't something I have experience with. I don't know what a very immature seed would be like. I end up pulling buds to bits in a frantic search for answers. Any help you give will be most appreciated
@SkunkleDamo, Sorry for the late reply. Been a week of Mondays.
I've been trying to find the original question with photo. Which journal was it?
How has the last 5 days been? others turning?
Immature seeds are little soft green oval balls that can be plucked out of a calyx.
The calyx becomes a husk for the seed. When the pistil is pollinated it usually turns a slight orange. It doesn't usually turn dark brown right away. Then the calyx swells over several weeks and the pistil receeds into the calyx. The pistil turning darker and the pistil is sometime gone or falls off. The calyx is then extremely hard as it has a seed growing inside. Eventually some outer seeds will protrude out of the calyx.
When a bud site pistil has not come into contact with polled the calyx is empty. Still swells though..This is most often our goal.
I'll say some of the best weed Ive ever had, was lightly seeded. Don't believe everything we read..just because a plant gets banana or a few seeds doesn't mean it's low in cannabinoids.
Maybe it changes a wee bit and, for the better in some cases..it's not 100% about THC..it's a combination of cannabinoids that makes each weed strain a bit different than the next.
Seeded weed used to be very common when I was a much younger man. And I laughed plenty then as well.
So first, try not to stress it too much..growing is fun, enjoy it.
If the rest of your tent hasn't followed I'd chalk it up to a genetic mutation. Keep me posted all the same and maybe let that one bud run its course..
Thank you for taking a close look at my plants and deciding to help in a thorough way, I adjusted the pH, take the light, increased ventilation, directed the fan so it wouldn't blow directly on the plants, carefully inspected the buds and stems under the buds, fortunately no mold is visible, but that's what I'm afraid of. Thanks again, I don't know how to respond to grow questions, I can't find such an option
