I'm not really sure why I'm still using this - I don't think it's a bad product but I dislike having lots of additives - I feel like I have been tricked in to it by marketing and advertisements. Once this bottle is empty, I won't be buying more.

I can't really comment on the Grow, as I barely used any in this cycle but I do like the Bloom very much.

I love these lights. They were very reasonably priced and produce a lot of output for my small space.

Having just harvested I cannot yet comment on the quality of the smoke. I did not do this plant justice, my instinct is that this strain is more picky about its environment. Throughout this grow I have been on the edge of acceptable night time temperatures - the other 5 plants did absolutely fine, but this strain lagged behind from the very beginning. Sadly, it really started to pick up in the last week or two before harvest. I think another 3 to 4 weeks or so to ripen further and I would be giving this strain 8/10 instead of 6/10. That being said, it was not difficult to grow and gave me no issues with deficiencies, pests or other sicknesses - it was just slow to flower, which I believe was caused by the low-but-not-very-low night time temperatures. Given these issues, the yeild was the least of all 6 plants but the buds did increase it's trichome production greatly in the last week and a half. As such, this plant produced little flower but a respectable amount of trim. See you in 4 weeks for a smoke report!

Having just harvested I cannot yet comment on the quality of the smoke. I can comment on the growth cycle of this strain, which is easy to grow with a very managable stretch. I will probably grow this again in a SCRoG as I feel it would quite well suited to that style of grow in my small space. I was impressed by the yeild which was comparable to the critical kush, and the smell is quite mild (especially compared to some of the other strain I had going), being earthy and incesey. I hope this is that classic "kush smell" that I hear about, I wish I had some context to compare it against. See you in 4 weeks for a smoke report!

Having just harvested I cannot yet comment on the quality of the smoke. I can comment on the growth cycle of this strain, which started off a little slowly as a young plant but once it got established it demonstrated it's vigour. The smell of the fresh flowers is right on the boundary between pleasant and unpleasant. It is earthy and organic, reminding me somewhat of poppy tea. Very resinous, and the plant made a very nice contribution to my trim hoard See you in 4 weeks for a smoke report!

Having just harvested I cannot yet comment on the quality of the smoke. The first time I grew this strain (after a long break from horticulture) I was not overly impressed but happy to admit that being out of practice was the source of the problems in that grow. This time, I found DSD to be a a very pretty plant, displaying many sativa characteristics which I find very visually appealing. I did notice that the stems were weak and brittle compared to the other plants - this could be a symptom of the overall lack of space these plants had in my tiny wardrobe. Two things stand out to me with this strain; the smell and the colors. The smell is of sweet blackberries, blackcurrants and blueberry all mashed up together with a hint of citrus tang. It might be hyperbolic but this might be the nicest thing I have ever smelt in my entire life. Not only that, the flowers look amazing with purple and lilac hues. If you sell your weed and are concerned about "bag appeal" then this in a 10/10, A++ strain. I did not let a single lower bud, light and airy as they were, go in the trim bucket - the buds look too nice and smell too good to be processed for hash. I would absolutely grow this again, perhaps one seed in a large pot grown in a SCroG. See you in 4 weeks for a smoke report!

Having just harvested I cannot yet comment on the quality of the smoke. I can comment on the growth cycle of this strain, which is very vigorous and healthy and easy to grow. I was honestly amazed by how resinous this strain was. From relatively early in the flowering cycle this plant was producing thick layers of trichomes even along her fan leaves. The resin production of this plant was so high it made my other strains such as White Widow and Critical Kush look poor in comparison. The colors of this plant as it reached the end of flowering were great - leaves so purple they were almost black, with purple colors coming through in the flowers themselves. The smell was earthy and unrefined though the yield was the 2nd lowest of the 6 plants in this diary though I expect this would not be a problem should it be given more space to grow in. It also made a fantastic contribution to my trim collection. See you in 4 weeks for a smoke report!

Having just harvested I cannot yet comment on the quality of the smoke. I can comment on the growth cycle of this strain, which is very vigorous and healthy and easy to grow. It produced the most flower by weight (note, the fresh bud weights listed include some stems). The flowers are dense and resinous and I was surprised by the smell, which was fruity and sweet. I was in quite the rush to get all my plants trimmed, so I apologise for the lack of photos. See you in 4 weeks for a smoke report!

I used this because I wanted low nitrogen feed. I don't think it helped, because there was just too much nitrogen in my compost during flower.

I really like these lights, considering the extreme sativa nature of this plant I think these lights did a great job. My only complaint is that they are starting to discolour slightly - I think due to heat.

Okay folks, it's 4 weeks later. Let's talk about the results... Let's get some basics out of the way first - I made a pretty glaring mistake during this grow which caused... issues. What was that mistake? I switched to flower far too soon after repotting the plants giving them access to far more nitrogen than they wanted or could deal with. This (combined with their genetics) resulted in excessive stretching, increased leaf-to-flower ratio and a longer flowering period. The excess nitrogen I think probably played a role in stunting the overall development of the plant and the strength of the final product. GROWING IT I have had feedback from ACE themselves, who describe my phenotypes as strongly resembling Congo #3 (one of the Congolese landrace strains that provided some of the genetic base of the strain) which is native to the Brazzaville region of the Republic of Congo on the border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo. There is very little influence from the other Congolese sativas or the PCK which make up this strains genetic heritage. As such, they demonstrated strong sativa characteristics during growth. They hated nitrogen, got really tall and produced huge but very low-density flowers. I ended up with 423g of dried flower - I nearly went back to remove some extra stems just to reduce that down to 420g. I would love to have the opportunity to grow this plant outdoors or in a polytunnel, as I think that's where it would do best - under the great big lamp in the sky. TASTE & SMELL The freshly ground buds smell fresh and piney with light astringent notes that clears the sinuses ever to slightly. At 4 weeks cure, the taste is actually quite delicate. Overall, it is spicy and herby though it retains a feint vegetable taste (that I actually quite enjoy, it reminds me of sugar snap peas) though I expect this to disappear with further curing. I have detected hints of under-ripe raspberry or other citrus when vaping it soon after brushing my teeth. In summary, it tastes and smells entirely unoffensive, but it's not particularly noteworthy. GETTIN' HIGH For me these buds produces little or no brain fog, no insatiable munchies, no dry mouth, no paranoia, no creeping fatigue or waves of sleepiness - absolutely none of the stuff which can be the negative effects of cannabis (for me at least). It is not a strong smoke for someone with a tolerance like me and the high duration is fairly short. Initially I was disappointed that this plant that I spent so long growing didn't get me high at all. Immediately after that thought I realised it was 11:30PM and I had just finished reassembling my oven after dedicating the last 2 hours to cleaning it thoroughly after baking an apple pie for the next day. This is a motervating, energising strain which has been wonderous for managing the mental health concerns that I deal with. It is a great day time smoke for me, not so much a recreational product but highly medicinal instead.
