Acapulco Gold

49 / 12 / 69 This was probably the smallest plant in this grow, but it definitely had the hardest buds — very dense, rock-solid flowers. At the same time, this plant produced the smallest yield of all. Beautifully covered in resin, very few leaves to trim — really great bud structure! It was quite easy to manage: it didn’t branch much, didn’t stretch too much upwards, and the stems filled up nicely with buds. I’m a little disappointed though, because these seeds came from an old pack — from back when the packaging actually looked like seeds I was hoping this strain hadn’t been affected by the tendency to add indica genetics into sativas to boost productivity and speed up flowering, etc. But my phenotype definitely leaned indica — both in the way it grew and in the effect. Very strong and couch-locking. The flavor and aroma are a mix of herbs and roots with a slight hint of earth and spices. Still, it was a pleasure working with this plant. I’ve got a few seeds left in the pack, so I’ll probably come back to it someday — hopefully to find a true sativa phenotype!

After a few days with the finished strain, here is what i think about Acapulco Gold: Smell/Taste: When grinded, there are pepper and pine notes that that are followed up by some spicy/woody aromas. When vaped the same applies but it changes to more of afloral aroma with tad of citrus. Its a tasty, spicy, complex and rich flavor. 8/10 High: The high is just what i hoped it would be. During the first 30mins i experience energizing waves of euphoria that carry you through the day but without being racy or too pushy. This nice build up is followed by serenety and hearty happyness. Just a happy outer peace that covers you like a warm blanket and leaves a smile on your face for hours. Functional high, relaxing but with very little body effects 10/10 Bag appeal: I was sick during the trim and did a poor job. But the nugs would look nice with a ton of orange hair. The buds are firm, compact and sparkle in the sun. 8/10 Growing experience: These beans were 9 year old and just delivered on all fronts. Easy to grow, easy to train and a joy to have them in you garden. Above average yielder in my case.

Chopped and hanging in the smaller tent, I’ll be back with edits for jarring and curing… The Acapulco Gold smells like sour green apple WarH3ad candies leaves my nose tingling. The Laughing Buddha smells tropical, lot going on in its profile I’m not quite sure what kind of fruit cocktail it reminds me most of but it’s more sweet and creamy. I’m high.. HIGHLY recommend grabbing these strains from Barney’s Farm.

Bastante resina, y buen olor, flores duras algunas cogieron colores.

No complaints about this one. Took all of my bs and mistakes like a champ, faded beautifully by itself. Smells great, fruity, some hints of lemon, a bit earthy. Tastes like carrots. Good effect.

Excellent strain ,very dense flower, very pungent

This plant did not bat an eye-lash at any of the problems this Summer Unfortunately, the plant beside it bloomed 3 weeks prior to this specimen, and took a lot of the Thunder; Acap Gold vs Acap Gold… Regardless It was an Easy plant to watch grow! No mtce req’d! It became in impressive beast in Bloom there will be pictures and a report soon enough

10/10 for me and defenitly in my Top 5 strains. Had some troubles growing it, but the results turned out amazing

Malheureusement j’ai du couper à cause de la moisissure qui commençait à être trop intense. C’est une plante qui a un énorme potentiel pour de grosse récolte . La durée de floraison est très longue et demande des conditions parfaite pour réduire tous risques de problème. Malgré la récolte tôt les terpènes semble assez fort .

Tough strain she can handle tropical hot weather easy to grow didn't have any major issue with her, The buds texture are semi fluffy but its all good you can enjoy this smoke all day long though haha😊

Grow went well. The only issues were possible over feeding. Go light on the nutes with these older strains specifically sativa. The plants looked good and grew a bit bigger than I expected after the switch. I’d say next time I would flip sooner in veg. I bet you could fill a room with just one plant if you wanted. Stay tuned for weights and smoke report in 2 more week. Update- So far I have over 200g of trimmed dried and cured (10 days) bud. Have much more to go with this one.

Very powerful sativa uplift ,thinking man weed ,motivated ,dense long burn nugs , like breaking crystal chunks apart when you grind it .complex fruity flavor muti layer flavor flower has like an electric smell have to agree with 1rightangle there .jar smell is intense

I grew two of these plants this summer. One sustained some wind damage to the central stalk which was fairly easing repaired, but the undamaged plant was ripe about a week before the other.

Buds are large with a medium density. The LST and topping aided in creating a much larger amount of bud produced. This strain stresses very easily, so it was a journey doing the hardcore LST.

Very nice plant to grow made a nice yield of this strain now for the dry and cure.
