Chinook Haze – The mother of this strain is Devil’s Harvest Krew’s Tangerine Haze cut.  It uncannily smells like candied tangerines and is one of the earliest known cultivars with a pronounced citrus aroma/flavor. The intense tangerine aroma is complemented by notes of Listerine, vinegar, grapefruit, cedar, and a spiciness I associate with antique wooden chests. Consisting of a cross between G-13 Haze and New York City Diesel, Tangerine Haze is a short-flowering sativa that has acquired a cult-like fan following. Tangerine haze also has unusually heavy trichome production for a “Haze” plant.

Chinook Haze’s Stardawg male brings down the flowering time as well as the physical stature of Tangerine Haze, making it easier to manage compared to her mother. Aromas should also be improved on, adding intensity, roadkill skunk, and offensive cannabis odours to the citrus of the Tangerine Haze. However, the Tangerine Haze proves dominant in this cross, and most phenotypes resemble the mother more than the Stardawg male.
