STORY: As stated in the Big Book of Buds 3, “Jilly Bean is the first strain bred by Green Avengers member Mz. Jill. Like jelly beans, Jilly “Beans” are seeds that promise a sweet, fruit-flavored, happy-making treat”.
FLOWERING TIME: 7-8 weeks
YIELD: Heavy
GROWING TIPS: She yields best as a short bush with lots of side branches making this a perfect variety for SOG/SCROG methods. Add an extra week of veg time and Jilly Bean becomes extra robust. Drop nighttime temps by 20 degrees and she will hue reddish, burgundy, and purple tones on the leaves. Lower parts of the plant tend to develop popcorn buds so don’t be afraid to keep the underside of the canopy tightly trimmed.
SCENT: Sweet overripe mangos, pineapples, and oranges
FLAVOR: Zingy, citrus, fruity
EFFECTS: Mellow, giddy, and friendly. The stone warms up slowly, spreading evenly over mind and body. This is a good daytime smoke inducing a feeling of mental ease and recharge.
