Banana Sunrise was bred by fertilising the Banana Sativa mother with pollen from Durban Cookies, a strain that is a cross of The OG KB cut (responsible for the Cookies craze) and a Durban. The use of the Durban plant reduced flowering times appreciably while also adding another dimension to the taste.
Banana Sunrise is the resulting indica/sativa plant and one that looks as though it's just been on a course of steroids so much has it beefed-up the Banana Sativa. This new strain has a very dense structure, takes all the (sun)light you can throw at it finishing in just 8 - 9 weeks even without over-feeding nutrients.
Yields are exceptionally good and the dried buds are rock-hard and shining with sparkling resin crystals. The aroma is very powerfully redolent of bananas and the effect is very strong. Just opening a jar of buds will turn heads in an effort to see what just caused that delicious aroma.
