Highland tropical sativa, the Filipino Kibungan, hails from the remote northern Philippines. This mold-resistant, easily grown strain is cultivated by local mountain farmers. Its aromatic profile combines fruity sweetness with hints of tropical fruit, wood, and spice. The cultivar's uplifting high fuels creativity, though late harvesting can induce a more balanced, relaxing effect.
Filipino Kibungan grows rapidly, sporting lateral branches and Sativa spears in bloom. It thrives in the region's frequent rainfalls, with airy, mold-resistant buds. Despite variable bud density, some plants yield long, heavy colas. This strain tolerates poor and fertile soils, making it beginner-friendly.
Preserving this unique Filipino landrace is essential due to harsh cannabis laws and foreign genetics' introduction. Cultivation in the Philippines can lead to life imprisonment, driving growers to be cautious and endangered landraces to extinction. The Khalifa team received heirloom seeds for reproduction and preservation, ensuring the survival of this remarkable strain with mold resistance and fruity terpenes, making it a valuable choice for collectors, preservationists, and breeders.

And here it is, the long-awaited moment has finally arrived! Harvest time! I'm sorry I didn't weigh it to know the total weight. In terms of terpenes, on one hand, there's a citrus/spicy/herbal mix, and on the other, something fruitier, like peach and tropical fruits with a sweet and creamy side. As for the effects, it adapts quite well to your mood. It can be both motivating and debilitating, depending on the phenotype. It's a fairly clear high at first, which then fades, but it doesn't prevent you from being active if you want to! I can't wait to make Ice O Lator! I want to thank Khalifa's team for their work and for offering us experiences like this.
