I liked this variety for its unpretentiousness and endurance. I think with excellent growing conditions you can achieve impressive yields with exceptional bud quality. I will definitely grow this variety next year. After drying, I will write about the taste of the buds.

Gave this a vape the other night for the first time and she has a nice smooth sweet taste to her. Definitely a good full body relaxing strain for evening use, I don't think anything productive will happen while smoking this bud.

The Grandaddy black started shooting nanners late flower around day 43. So after careful consideration, I decided to harvest her early. The buds were dense, but on the smaller side because she didn't reach final swell out. Bud density and trichome coverage was excellent. I pulled out maybe 30 nanners, mostly near the main cola and near teir budsites. The lowers were dense as well. After a 3 day dry with a wet trim and detail trim towards the end, her dry smoke was rather smooth with a deep grape under tone with a more prevelant earthy/ herbal terpine. Pine is initial on the inhale as well. The high is definitely leaning heavily towards indica, but the 30 minutes or so are a little uplifting, then 3 hours in you wanna lay down and take a nap. Definitely a night smoke. I saved the sugar leaves and after a Decarb and a 5 hour coconut oil infusion on a double boiler, she made some pretty good brownies. Wish I could of got more than 2 ounces, but it's cool. I believe I ran her too hard on bloom nutes, which may have caused the herming.

Granddaddy Black nuggets are beautifully dense and encrusted with brown sugar. The effect is potent Indica with wonder fully sweet grape smell. Sweet grape taste is addictively delicious. Be warned, it takes a while before the Granddaddy Black to creep in. Don’t reach for a second bong until after half an hour. By then, you should be appreciating the wonders of one electron universe. Sleep comes easy and aches and pain goes away.

RIP grandaddy black. I was spreading her branches out today and noticed a few pollen sacs forming. I grabbed a magnifying glass and peeled one open with a needle to be sure. Definitely growing some bananas. Pulled her up and disposed of her. A lot of work down the drain but sometimes it be like that..... I think I caught it before it dropped pollen.
