To make Marula Fruit, Royal Queen Seeds brought together genetics that couldn't be more diverse. One half of this unique indica is comprised of landrace genetics that cannabis field geneticists discovered in the south-east African nation of Mozambique. These rare genetics were combined with a potent indica from Mendocino County, California.

Crossing two very different strains and making them into a viable and stable cultivar was an ambitious task. Luckily, the effort that went into making this strain a reality has paid off: after several generations of breeding, RQS proudly presents Marula Fruit.

Marula Fruit is easy to grow and will please indica lovers with its great flavour, bombastic high, and very good yields. Honouring its African origins, the strain was named after the Marula tree. This rugged tree produces aromatic fruits that can be eaten or made into alcoholic beverages.

GROWING MARULA FRUIT

You likely won't encounter any trouble when growing this indica-dominant hybrid (75% indica). With a natural hardiness and low-maintenance nature, it performs well in all kinds of environments. Growers can get good results indoors or outdoors, where Marula Fruit will reach a medium-tall height.

As Marula Fruit starts to flower, it will develop rather unusual looking buds in the shape of small, spiky Christmas trees. The entire plant will soon be covered in thick layers of sticky resin, which makes this variety a top contender for making concentrates and hash.

Grown indoors in good conditions, you'll be able to harvest as much as 475g/m² after a very short 49–53 days of flowering. Outdoors, where the plant can get good sun, you can expect around 650g/plant, although some growers have reported yields approaching 1kg in the very best conditions. You can look forward to harvesting this strain in the first days of October.

Make note that this special variety is only available as a regular seed. So, make sure to separate the females from the males as soon as you can identify the sex of your plants.

EFFECT, FLAVOUR, AND AROMA OF MARULA FRUIT

Clearly, Marula Fruit isn't just your average indica. As a matter of fact, describing its very relaxing effect in words doesn't really do it justice: imagine waking up after a good night's sleep feeling refreshed, energised, and ready to take on the day.

Others have compared the effect to a relaxing full-body massage that relieves tension and eases the mind into a state of euphoric bliss. Light your bong or turn on your vape, whatever floats your boat, and it will caress your body and mind with deep relaxation. Before you know it, you'll have forgotten about any stress or worries you had on your mind.

With its ultra-chill indica stone, Marula Fruit is best enjoyed in the evening. But, if you just plan to relax for the day, let this strain reset you. Marula Fruit has a lot to offer when it comes to therapeutic uses: it is a good choice for relieving muscle tension, and it can offer temporary relief from anxiety and stress. Marula Fruit contains about 20% THC on average, so its effect kicks in fast and will last for a long time.

The flavour profile of Marula Fruit is on a whole different level as well. Provided you have properly dried and cured the buds, you will enjoy a bouquet of sweet notes reminiscent of cherries blended with sugary-sweet cotton candy.

MARULA FRUIT: BOTTOM LINE

You'll have a hard time finding a flaw with this eclectic indica. Its effect and flavour are top-notch, plus Marula Fruit is easy to grow and pleases with excellent yields. What else could the modern indica lover wish for?
