An amazing strain from start to finish. Permanent Marker was vigorous and easy to train, and responded really well to bending and even snapping stems. The stems that had to heal with knuckles grew some of the biggest buds.
It turned purple and got super frosty, with beautiful senescence full of green, yellow, purple, and orange. The resin production was levels above everything else in the tent. It is greasy and oily and funky and loud.
The smells changed all through its life, with early stem rubs giving a sour grapefruit, but once the trichomes showed up it was all chem for the longest time. Toward the end of life it developed into an intensely strong mix of fresh raw garlic, onion, black truffle, and rich damp soil. That's how it finished and that dank smell overpowered any space I used for drying and trimming.
I should have trimmed more of the lower growth to focus on the top buds. I had a lot of larfy little buds to toss into the trimming "waste". The energy would have been better spent in the top few nodes.
