May 13th - Day 86: I flipped to flower last Friday, May 10th (3 days ago on Day 83), but the plants received their first bath today. Humidity levels were brought down to a maximum of 61%, and temperatures to a maximum of 28°C (though they reach 33°C when the lights are on, and I can't seem to lower them further). I added a third cycle to the watering automation system, so the plants are now being watered three times a day for one minute each. I defoliated the plants quite heavily as I wasn't able to reach the desired humidity level. I will be gone for a week, maybe even two. Let's see how the babies grow. May 17th - Day 90: I came back today to a disaster. The automated watering system failed for four days, and the dehumidifier kept running, bringing humidity down to 35%, likely resulting in the loss of more than one plant. I'm so disappointed in myself but still keeping my hopes up. I watered everything heavily, trimmed the crispy leaves, sprayed the leaves with pH 6.5 water, and increased the humidity levels in the tent. Will update tomorrow. May 18th - Day 91: Unbelievable. Most of the plants recovered as if nothing happened. Two of them might be dead, but I still have hope. Let's see.

Girls are getting to starting to have a smell not too strong

Hello, Day 29 of flower today. She is packing on some trichomes since 2-3 days and it’s getting more everyday. Buds are growing and starting to look like they should. The smell is not that strong but if you walk by the opened window you smell that there is a weed plant somewhere near. The trichomes are sticky and the smell is hyping me up like crazy. Weight was okay today, I will water again tomorrow with 6-7 Liters without added nutrients. Some bottom leaves are starting to get a yellowish colour which kinda concerns me, but I’m far away from panicking. Estimated flower time are 50-60. my light is running on 85% which is 225W / 35cm distance to the canopy. I added those extra 5% power yesterday and we will see if she likes it. Maybe I will buy additional phosphor booster, but I have to gather some information first. I the next couple days I will also get a hygrometer to check my humidity. I can’t change it but I think it’s good to know for the next grow. The temperature is measured via an infrared thermometer, leaf temp was 18°C night and 23°C day temp. Hey there, as the clones are almost ready and I will transplant them in the aeroponic system tomorrow, I allowed myself to get the pH and EC ready and stabilize it over a night. 😏 August, 20th: 23 of the 30 clones made it to the system and are now growing fine. Guess those 7 clones that didn‘t make it were old ones from below the mother plant. SanLights at 40%. ☀️

Hello Diary. The first week of flowering is behind us. The Green Gelato Automatic has reached 41 cm, and is now twice lower than its Hulkberry roommates. Due to the height of the Hulkberries, I had to attach the lights to the very top of the box, the height of the box is 178 cm and to maintain a distance of 35 cm from the plants, I had to do so. 😟 Unfortunately, now the Green Gelato is 50cm away from the light, although I picked up the whole pot, the distance is still too far than it should be. Earlier in the week, I changed the light regime to 20/4, four hours of sleep from the start of flowering. I started giving BioBizz full range for the first week of flowering. She started drinking more water, so I watered more this week than before. Compared to Hulkberry roommates, Gelato grows much lower with much denser branches and more leaves. He did not lengthen in height like them. I started adding Cal-Mag, preventively, since I had a shortage of Cal-Mag with Somango and Royal Haze before. The temperature is higher than I want, around 27-28 degrees, but it’s summer, it could be a lot worse. That’s the advantage of Led lights, and the Migro was a great choice. Humidity in the air is about 50-55%, which is currently good.😀 The tips of the upper leaves are intensely yellow, I sincerely hope it’s a little stress due to the heat, or is it something else, we’ll see. Otherwise the plant look satisfied, there are no major signs that it is missing anything. The only watering is difficult due to the density of the branches and the light does not reach the lowest flowers, but I plan a small defoliation next week. 10/07/2020 - Day 22. I changed the light regime to twenty hours of light and four hours of sleep. It was also watering day. She got the full range of BioBizz for the first week of flowering. I prepare 9 liters of water each time in which I put BioBizz, p.H. I regulate with Plagron’s, Lemon Kick and as of this week I’ve started adding Cal Mag preventively. With that amount of water, I water all three plants evenly. 12/07/2020 - Day 24. Watering. The procedure is the same as the previous times. This time I also filmed the way I do it. 15/07/2020 - Day 27. Watering. Same 9 liters as before, with full BioBizz and preventive Cal-Mag. 16/07/2020 - Day 28. Photography and filming. This was a fun project that was a few years in the making and a year later to see if they would last a season for this upload to happen. Before any of this I would bike aorund town grabbing up all the old Ikea solid pine bed slats that I could find and storing them in the basement. I have a lot of wood down there, any size worked as long as I have enough of them. The hot days to find them were the first and last of the months because that's when people where moving in/out. I also kept an eye on the free section on local online classifieds as well. The entire purpose of this was to recycle as much off the streets as I could before buying anything to finalize the project. In the end I only bought sealer, screws and some takeaway/beers. All the wood was 100% free and salvaged off the streets of Toronto saving it from the dumpster bin. After collecting all the slats for about 2 years I was playing aorund with them on how I wanted to make this work. I had previously done a little project like this before but I messed it up and the boxes where crap. did not last longer then 2 seasons, they where thin and shallow as well could not grow much of anything in them. I Was talking to my friend who is renovating their house and we brainstormed some ideas on the boxes, I found some designs I liked online and said lets make something like this out of what I have here. We tossed out a few of the design features when looking at them as it would have been wasted wood and extra work not needed. If I had more wood them maybe it could have been an option but simple was the name of the game. They taught me what I needed to know like how the miter saw and sander worked, plus all the other tools I was using. They did help out with a table saw and creating the triangle support joints in the corners, They used some pine left overs they had while making a staircase indoors. I did not feel up to the task of using a table saw given all the relatives I know who have lost a finger to them. In the end we decided the design would be three boards high and take an alternating pattern on corners. layer one short, layer 2 long, layer 3 short. Went with a galvanized and painted deck screw so it can take the weathering. Ran into some problems like making everything level as some of the boards were warped and other ones had undesired aspects like knots and tacky sticker goo I could not remove. So I used them for the base that will not been seen so much. Clamped everything down and called it a day. Once it was all done and over with, I then brought them back home from my buddies work garage and started to seal them. I went with a boiled linseed oil as its a food safe option should the wood degrade into the soil I will plant in them. I will need to reapply it to the boxes year after year but the main coat is the most important one and I put it on 3 layers with a good dry in between coats. the inside of the boxes that where coated did not degrade at all as the sun did not hit them so it will not need a new coat just the outside. Overall the end result was very impressive for myself, I've never taken a woodworking class ever and It was a near perfect outcome for me. Heavy Duty Planter Boxes for all my gardening needs. I made a last min decision to add in a plastic liner to preserve the wood even longer and stapled that into the frame. it has held up quite well and may need replacing end of 2nd or 3rd year out in the sun. Two of the three have been cut. The first one was just a stubby little lady that had just under an ounce of dried flower. The second one was taken last night and her main cola weight 5 wet and was just covered in oily terpenes. This last one while behind the others is by FAR the frostiest and I can’t wait for her to ripen. Therefore I am not calling it a harvest until the trichomes become perfect as the last one did.
