Second run with these genetics, I ran her last time in a 5.4 gallon container, I got the grape pheno, higher yield with the first run, but much tighter nugs with this run. This one smells much more earthy/gassey and less grapey. I ended up with just under 26 zips of nugs, 2 zips of Larf which I will turn into canna sugar, and my buddy made a 35 gram brick of bubble from the trim. It should be dry in the next few days and I'll post a video of the squeeze, hoping to get around a zip of rosin which I will split with him since he turned the bubble...Super excited to squeeze some nugs once the cure is done, Ill post vids of them as wel. Next run I'm planning to try and cram 2 plants inside a 5X5, build mainlines, and flip by week 6 or 7....Switching to two 315 W CMH bulbs up top, and LED's on 2 of the sidewalls for supplemental lighting. Well it seems to be slowing down in length over the past few days, just hit 21". Hoping it doesn't get any taller as I've had to keep adding spacers to my spacebucket. I've still got some spots which I'm thinking could be light/heat stress. I'm adding cal-mag with my nutes at ph 6.3, flush a couple weeks back showed ph 6.3 runoff too so I believe it's not a lockout issue, hoping the community can chime in. Hoping to see the buds fill out more with some frosty leaves soon.

D64. We're at the start of the fourth week of flower, and today was a busy day. First, I had to remove the old lights before swapping in the light from my auto tent. All while trying to avoid trashing the plants in the way too full tent. Not an easy task. The entire mission, with changing the light in the auto tent as well, took a couple of hours. I wish I could keep the Greenception lights in the tent as they're high-quality lights, but the Kingbrite has a much lower profile and thus takes up much less space. Space that I desperately need considering how insanely much these girls stretched. One of the tops on the second girl has unfortunately already been bunt by being too close to the light, and I'm sure I will run into light bleaching and probably foxtailing as the grow progress, but I hope I will be able to pull it off with the Kingbrite light. I also added some wire support to the branches that I super-cropped, as they looked somewhat sad after all the abuse to the canopy while swapping the lights. ------------------------------ D66. It looks like the girls have FINALLY stopped stretching. Phew! Yesterday, I gave each girl 2.5 liters of water @ pH 6.2 with humic acid and EM-1. Today, the green lacewing larvae (Chrysoperla Carnea) arrived, and I dispersed them in the tent to deal with the thrips. ------------------------------ D68. All is well in the tent, but now when the thrips are (hopefully) under control, it's time to address the VPD. It has gotten seriously out of wack due to dropping temps, plus I increased the humidity to make the environment more inhospitable for the thrips. The temps were low due to the light change as the new one is running a lot cooler, but the temps have also dropped outside. The heating in the lungroom has been off until now, so I turned that on and lowered the humidity threshold on my exhaust fan. Finally, I put my small humidifier in the tent, generating extra heat and decreasing the humidity. So far, the VPD has increased from a terrible 0.4-0.5 to an acceptable 0.9, and I'm hoping it will increase further as the ambient RH drops as we move into winter. ------------------------------ D70. We're at the end of the fourth week of flower, and all is well in the tent. The VPD has gone up to 1.0, which is a nice improvement to what it was only a couple of days ago. I haven't scouted yet for thrips, but I will give the lacewings a couple of days to do their thing and then look closer. However, I went to WAR against the spider mites we have in our ornamental plants in the apartment. I sprayed all plants with my homemade pesticide (capsaicin, alcohol, horticultural soap.) since I had it at hand. If that fails to knock the spider mites back, I'll bring out the neem oil instead. The infestations aren't bad (yet), but it would suck to get mites into my tents, so better to be proactive. ------------------------------

Last week of actual veg! I plan to stick to the same old lighting and watering schedule this week but am gonna experiment with a foliar feed of the potassium humates to see how she likes it. I figure it's better to test things like that now than in flowering. She's beginning to develop something between the nodes, though it's still too early to tell for sure if she's a girl. (It was a feminized seed so I certainly HOPE so!) This plant has given me absolutely zero problems despite being in the most maligned soil under a weak-ass CFL bulb AND transplanted, which is supposed to be a no-no for autos. It def looks unmistakably like pot now lol so I've gotta figure out where to hide it should the landlord come in. (Legal state, illegal building). Hoping this Ona Pro Gel will be sufficient to offset the stench once she starts reeking. 😁 So my 1st attempt with the humates was a fail. I for some reason thought the pH was too high so I sprayed some white vinegar into the mix to bring it down, which it did. But then I read that you're NOT supposed to mix the two, plus I'd possibly made the solution way too strong by using online "recipes" vs. what the package said: 1 tsp per gallon water. YIKES. I'd used 0.7 grams in 2 liters the 1st time. 🤦🏻‍ Thankfully I only sprayed that mix on the two bottom leaves before realizing what I'd done, so I sopped it up, poured out the rest and made a more dilute mixture without the vinegar this time. I used my little 8 Fl. oz spray bottle to mist the plant from a healthy distance before her brief dark period, which is where she's at now. Did a 2nd foliar feed the following day and she's looking just dandy! (Aside from the twisty taco leaves at the top lol). After watering, she was incredibly bloated with leaves curling downward in that tell-tale "over watered" claw. How this is possible when I water only 1x every 7 days, grow in a fabric pot, keep fans on her at all times and am using moisture control soil is beyond me, but it would appear this plant HATES water. The soil was bone dry when I watered & I even pH'ed the water this time before giving her a drink.... no luck. Oh, and the H2O is room temperature every time. Same 16.9 FL oz. purified drinking water as last time... After some reading it looks like this strain is just highly finicky and somewhat harder to grow than other autos, though most people ended up happy with the results. This also explains why she's so tall with so few leaves/branches: they say Zkittlez Auto stretches like crazy. I'm gonna try to stop obsessing now. I added a 2nd CFL bulb (yellow) to see if it boosted her growth any, and sure enough, I got some noticeable and rapid change in her appearance after only one night. So that was a good thing. Next week will be when I switch to 20/4 light schedule and try a soil feed of the Potassium Humates with her once-weekly watering lol. Stay tuned. Final update for the week: I put pipe cleaners on the ends of her big branches to help open up the bud sites. It's too late for actual LST, plus she's so sensitive I doubt she'd like it. Don't wanna waste 1-3 days recovering from that. But I'll probably lop off 2, if not 4, leaves early next week. (1-2 sets total). She's not leafy enough to "leaf tuck" as planned but some of those bottom ones are def redundant.

Beginning of week... The purple is beginning to bleed onto the leaves!!! Finally! I have a purple phenotype!! I am definately calling this "Week 1 of flower".. She has stretched noticeably.. Still not very much, but it is noticeable! By the end of this week it should be very obvious! I love these ladies! This is why I've stayed single since I've started growing more than 2 years ago! Bahahaha! Not even joking.. 100% of my love goes to these lovely ladies!!.. So this morning I flushed with FloraKleen.. The runoff PPM came out exactly as it went in.. Crazy!!! I mixed the nutrients for tomorrow and I went up a tad on ArmorSi (Silica).. CALiMAGic (CalMag).. And the FloraMicro.. Went down on the FloraGro so that I could also add the FloraBloom to the mix since the flower stretch will be happening this week.. I went ahead and also went up a bit on the Floralicious Plus and the FloraNectar FruitNFusion.. Gonna keep the FloraNectar at veg amount till she is actually making some nugs.. Maybe 2nd or 3rd week into flower. That's how I did it with my suitcase grow (*TC*).. Seems like the way things are going at this point.. I may not even be able to add a bloom booster. Still early tho.. Only time will tell! Next day.. Night temps in the tent got down to 57F.. Holy shit it had me nervous lol.. The leaves looked like shit.. But they always look like shit when lights are out.. But she perked up this morning.. Lights only been on for about 30 mins and they are back to NORML <--- lol see what I did there? But yeah.. Hope my clones managed to make it thru too Next morning.. Yeah she's fine.. I just hate how the leaves droop so much after about 16 hours of light.. Almost like that extra 2 hours is alot of them.. I wonder what they would be doing if I was using 20/4 or even 24/0 light cycle.. I was thinking of bumping it up to 20/4 in week 2 or 3 of flower and leaving it there till harvest.. But haven't made the decision yet. Oh yeah.. This week I also bumped up the power to 100%. And if needed, I will lower the light a bit.. I've burned a few plants in the past, so I know to be careful with that. Wish I had a PAR meter.. They say you can use a LUX meter but I see so much conflicting information on doing that.. I believe its multiply the LUX reading by .025 and that should give you the estimated PAR... But idk how much I trust that.. And when UV and IR are involved, it can be higher than what you think.. Some shit.. Blah blah blah.. Lol Almost mid week... I'm starting to think she needs more nutes.. She seems a little yellowish.. Like she could be a bit more green. I've had strains that were like that before.. But this plant is a little confusing, being my first purple pheno.. She has the little streaks of purple on the stems all over the plant.. But being a purple pheno, that could just be genetics.... But the leaves not looking as lively as they were before.. Seems to me that it shows that maybe there isn't enough nitrogen since she has transitioned into flower.. But there are also yellow tips on all the newer growth.. Doesn't really look too bad tho.. Not like nutrient burn.. But it could be. I know sone deficiencies show yellow tips also.. Ugh. The buds still seem to be forming nicely tho.. Thats what counts.. And damn the purple is bleeding onto ALOT of the newer leaves! Its so fucking pretty! The new growth seems a bit under developed to me tho.. And almost like its wilted.. Not too bad but it is a bit noticeable.. I really hope I dont screw this up lol. Well since I did go up on the nutes a bit this week.. I guess I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and see what happens this week I suppose. Hopefully this clears up after going up on the nutes a bit. I really dont wanna screw this up. Later that day (Almost mid week) So i flushed the medium with FloraKleen the other day.. The runoff came out at 3XX PPM.. Yesterday I fed with nutrients.. Going in was 7XX PPM but the runoff came out at 3XX PPM once again.. I figured ok, the nutrients are still just higher in the medium I guess and I should see it in the runoff this morning as I flush (since I feed, flush, feed, flush, etc.).. But today going in it was 230 PPM but the runoff came out at 420 PPM.. So I think the FloraKleen was still doing what it does.. And maybe thats why the plant isnt as good as she should be. So tomorrow morning I will be feeding at 740 PPM and hopefully the runoff will be where it needs to be.. FloraKleen is great.. But I'm only gonna use it for harvesting.. Cuz this is ridiculousness! Works like magic tho lol.. So there's that.. Will be updating tomorrow with pics! Mid week.. Fucking FloraKleen is still working or some shit! Fed this morning.. Going in was 740 PPM.. Runoff is still showing 420 PPM.. I even made a 4th liter of nutrient mix and going in, it was 850 PPM but runoff is still coming out at 420 PPM.. Son of a bitch. I can see she is starving right now too.. This is one of the worst times to starve these girls.. Not the worst, but one of the worst, in my experience.. What a finicky bitch she is!.. Other than the runoff sucking balls.. And the slight discoloration of the leaves.. She is happy tho.. She should pull thru just fine.. Just gotta get this damn FloraKleen out of there! I'm just gonna feed everyday (instead of feed, flush, feed, flush) till I see the PPM where it needs to be.. But damn FloraKleen works like a mf'r.. Just not the best idea to use while the girl still needs nutrients.. Will be updating as I go.. Hopefully this is fixed soon. Almost end of week.. Idk wtf.. I havent even watered using just plain water yet.. The entire week.. Just been feeding once daily and still the runoff is coming out at 400 - 500 PPM.. But she seems to have gotten a little better. No yellowing. Stretching has begun this week for sure, too.. I wish I could get each top even with the others.. But they arent too far off from eachother. The main top is gonna be a beast of a cola when shes done! The branches on the main top are bunched together so its gonna be massive. The buds are forming nicely too.. Purple is showing more and more each day. Such a gorgeous plant! I cant wait to see what she looks like when its time to harvest! Besides this runoff issue.. She is doing great! There are a couple leaves with spotting.. Looks like calcium deficiency.. But I'm assuming thats because of the runoff issue.. But hasnt spread at all.. And its really not bad looking.. Just a couple spots here and there.. Just thought I'd mention them. But she is very happy and healthy!.. Updating with pics tomorrow! End of week.. Trichomes are beginning to form.. And holy shit.. When you rub them and smell.. Hooooly flipping shirt.. It legit smells like lemonade.. Not just lemons.. Or citrusy.. But like straight up lemonade.. Wow.. Fucking incredible!.. She has definately stretched as I stated would be obvious this week.. She has done some amazing things this week.. The flowers are gettin big fast! Stacking nicely.. She should be quite the yielder! Week 8 is going great, started flush toward the end of week 7 on Zkittlez and OG Kush. Also started flushing Pink Kush CBD and Purple Punch at start of week 8. All are packing weight still and smelling very fragrant. Trichomes are starting to cloud out and I am planning on harvesting when trichomes are starting to amber.
