This huge b**ch just refuses to mature on the vine! 🤣 The buds have reached peak girth a couple of weeks ago but the trichome prod is continuing and the smell slowing coming around. I’m giving it a couple more weeks max anyway as I need the space for upcoming plants. Pretty wild stuff for a strain said to be ready in 10 weeks!

The plants look a bit damaged and need some care as I was on holiday for a couple of weeks. They have been watered every 2-3 days but have not received any further care, despite this they have grown quite a bit. Durban Poison is the first to start flowering. Frisian Dew wants to continue growing skywards, I think the story of the beans growing up to the sky will soon have to be rewritten. I will then hire a ladder to measure the size of the Frisian Dew. The Shaman and the Frisian Dew are about to start flowering in the second week of August. The Shaman in the garden has had a huge growth spurt. Esta semana voy a escribir sobre: CARBÓN VEGETAL ACTIVADO CON MICROORGANISMOS DE MONTAÑA. esta es una práctica avanzada pues al menos se necesita tener el inóculo sólido de Microorganismos de Montaña (MMS), aunque al final intentaré dar otras opciones para aquellos que no tengan MMS. Puedes consultar en la semana 3 la manera de hacer Microorganismos de Montaña Sólidos (MMS): https://growdiaries.com/diaries/134104-grow-journal-by-defharo/week/725879 El carbón vegetal es un excelente componente para toda clase se mezclas de sustrato, tiene varias propiedades muy interesantes, ayuda a la estructuración del suelo y la creación de humus, es un regulador térmico en lugares fríos, favorece la expansión de las raíces y su estructura de microporos promueve la retención de humedad y nutrientes, se dice que en 1cm cúbico de carbón puede contener de 8 a 30 millones de Microorganismos. Y es precisamente la propiedad de retención de humedad y nutrientes, de la que se aprovecha esta práctica. El carbón vegetal llamado "activado" que se usa en filtros de agua o aire, tiene mala fama entre los aficionados a las peceras, porque se dice que roba nutrientes, principalmente Nitrógeno, esto tiene una explicación y no es un problema para cultivo en macetas, el carbón seco tiende a absorber humedad y los nutrientes que se encuentra en el sustrato o en los riegos, porque es muy poroso, y de repente, tiene que saturar todos sus microporos, pero esto apenas va a tener incidencia en un cultivo. En mi caso lo que hago es mezclar el carbón con los Microorganismos Sólidos y después lo humedezco con agua y melaza para activar la Microbiología del inóculo, dándole la energía necesaria, de esta manera tengo un carbón inoculado con Microorganismos de Montaña, y una vez en el sustrato, con humedad, estos MM, se propagarán. En este caso el carbón, de momento, no captura nutrientes porque está saturado, pero después de unos riegos, será la casa perfecta donde los Microorganismos y los nutrientes convivirán ofreciendo una fuente extra de nutrientes, para que las raíces se alimenten en periodos de escasez de alimento o humedad. Supongo que quien tenga inóculos bacterianos comerciales, podría usar esta práctica para multiplicarlos. INGREDIENTES BÁSICOS: Agua pura: 500ml Carbón vegetal, para usarlo en macetas conviene que los trozos de carbón no sean grandes. 750 gramos. Melaza: 75g Microorganismos de Montaña Sólidos (MMS): 225g PROCEDIMIENTO: Se mezcla el carbón y los Microorganismos sólidos. Se disuelve la melaza en el agua. Se humedece el carbón lentamente, mezclándolo bien, porque el carbón vegetal puede almacenar mucha humedad y necesita tiempo para saturarse. Se guarda a oscuras durante un mes en un recipiente cerrado. Hasta aquí la fórmula básica, yo hago algunos añadidos, como se puede ver en las fotos. Añado 260g de Leonardita, que es un carbón vegetal con millones de años y en el proceso de convertirse en mineral, aunque todavía no lo es, es además, la mayor fuente de ácidos húmicos y comparte las propiedades del carbón. Añado Microorganismos de Montaña Activados (MMA) de forma líquida para aumentar la inoculación de microbiología, también un lacto fermento de frutas que aporta muchas vitaminas, nutrientes y enzimas... en la última foto se ve el recipiente después de un mes. Siguiendo el principio de saturación previa de los poros del carbón, para mezclas de sustratos, y sin tener acceso a microbiología, se podría, por ejemplo, saturar el carbón con alguna mezcla nitrogenada para el comienzo del cultivo, después el carbón seguirá cumpliendo sus funciones de estructuración de suelos, creación de humus y para retener humedad y nutrientes. After locking them out for close to a week , I managed to get them going again. Just waiting for some Amber trichomes to show up now.

It was very easy to grow as a super-strong nothing can hurt her for nut burs u need to do it way over so she starts to get burns well for my first DWC I love it buds are amazing even not experienced like me can grow her perfectly I can't wait to try and smoke here 😎😎🤩😘

Day 78- She is ready with about 5-10% Amber Trichomes. I can’t tell you how Amazballs she smells. Super limey like a green sour patch kid. So frosty I couldn’t be happier with Xmas around the corner I am going to be blitzed off of this for the Holiday😎 . Going into 2 days of dark then the choppers. I will upload more pictures beofore I chop and hang her. I defanned her before the dark period so I can just chop and full plant hang for about 10 days. Then into jars for cure. Chopped Her and came out to 597 grams full plant. Can’t believe I got her on my scale but I did and was epic.

The trichomes on the Runtz are all milky and I'm getting some amber on the sugar leaves, I think the end is near 😁 The G13 is looking great and smelling wonderful, the buds are getting heavier and same for the GDP

We decided on Pineapple Express (by Grower's Choice) as our summer strain this year, we veg anything going outside under 16hrs ..We only get 15hrs at peak light(Far North/East, Canadian border) and this prevents any pre-flowering and possible revegging downtime. We're going to flower 4 plants indoors ASAP (to ensure we don't run out )and bring 3 out to the field in about 2-2.5 months...

6/17 and 9/18 Were extremely hot days. Today to reached 98 with temps still currently in the 90s as I right this at 7:22pm. Watered morning came back to discovery the bags had dried out. I watered again and fed; 3tsp big bloom, 1 calmagic, 1 grow big, 1/2 microbrew, 1 tsp unsulphered molasses. 1tsp kelp me kelp you. Watered fed and lightly watered again. 6/23 Plants seem fine post BT treatment. Found a few dead moth larvae. Plants look great and I haven't seen any negative effects from BT. Weather gas continued into the 90s. I had been watering twice daily. After examining the medium I decided to not water today as I had hit them pretty hard the day before. Fed and watered same schedule except I switched out microbrew for kangoroots on 6/23. I was going to apply second application of BT but on examination I found Aphids on my smallest mendo breath. This plant is a mendo breath reveg and I've been worried about pests due to its density. I put out two aphid traps (I doubt it will do much since the are only nymphs) and sprayed with MiteX by bromide. Cottonseed, clove and garlic oil with sodium bicarb and a few others. If this doesnt work they are all getting captain Jack's.
