Buds are already getting nice and dense. Thick coat of trichomes is already glistening. Flower production has been very on point! Very hardy colas flying off these girls. Very excited for this one. I reduced the nitrogen dose again. I also stopped giving them vigorous. Its a pure bloom mix now as these ladies are booming with flowers. Until next update. Happy growing and stay lit fam.

Nothing new to report this week. The buds are growing, even in this cold. The temp when the lights go on is in the middle 60s. So, that's a happy thing. Happy growing eveyone!

Hermies are lame

Just waiting it out now. No added nutrients, just water. Bubba and Black Dog have exceeded their expected flowering time, and both are at 95% cloudy with 5% or so still clear. Chemdawg and The New can take up to 70 days or more so we’ll see if they’re late too. Bubba is a foxtailing machine. It was one weekend in early Flower when heat/humidity got out of hand while I was away for 3 days. She hermied a bit and I’ve had my eye out for bananas ever since (find a few every so often). Taking a risk to keep her in the tent with the others but if I catch them early enough the others should be ok. Interestingly I found a YouTube video of a guy that ran bubba and had the same foxtail development (also the same scent description and look overall). Nothing like the gorgeous fat purple budded girl I had last year but the citrus smell on this lime green bud pheno/version is impressive. Curious to see how the smoke compares. Scent combo from all four plants is amazing!

8/23 I WATERED THE NATURAL MK ULTRA AND THE 10TH PLANET IN THE BACK WITH A GALLON AND THE TWO TENS SPLIT A GALLON. It's hotter today and the wind is picking up. I wish I had gotten rid of that plant when I thought to. Oh well. I'm going to have to bite the bullet and treat things. Smell is increases as well as flower size. However I'm noticing more leaves that are yellowing and falling off. Smell has intensified. The special kush in late flower doesn't seem to be producing trichomes like it should. Or maybe it's still early. I see some but by this time I would think it would be frosty as hell! It's rained like once this summer. I've put tons of work into defoliating. I'm not sure if I'll try a controlled spray trying to avoid buds or if I should use a sponge and just hit every leaf. At least I'm seeing that the buds are still expanding and smelling despite these invisible Bastards. It's not like I see them. Even my traps only caught like one. I'll update as I go. EDIT: WATERED THE TENTH PLANET AND THE LATE SOECIAL KUSH 1 GAL. PLAN ON FEEDING TOMORROW. I DID A SHIT TON OF DEFOLIATION. I DONT SEE ADULT THRIPS BUT I SEE THE EGGS AND SHIT IN THE CREVICE AND SOMETHING IS COMING AND EARING SMALL LOWER FOLIAGE. I RIPPED TWO INTERIOR BRANCHES OFF THE PLANTS I TREATED BEFORE WITH CITRIC ACID BECAUSE I FOUND A COUPLE STOPS OF MOLD ON THE STEM. AFTER RESEARCHING THRIPS WITH A.I. THEN I TOOK A SPONGE AND EITHER DEFOLIATED OR WIPED THE LEAVES WITH A SPONGE AND SAME CONCOTION ON THE SPECIAL KUSH IN THE TEN. I DEFOLIATED MORE AND THEN "SPOT TREATED" A FEW LEAVES ON A BOTTOM BRANCH OF THE 10TH PLANET WITH MITE X. I'M WAITING UNTIL THE MORNING TO SEE THE RESULTS AND BEFORE I MOVE FORWARD. I HAVE ORGANOCIDE BEE SAFE AND I KNOW IT WORKS GOOD BUT IT SMELLS LIKE SHIT. IM HOPING ILL FIGURE THIS OUT. 8/24 Didn't have time to do a video or take any pictures. I pit a lot of work in the garden yesterday. I removed a couple small branches that had mold on the stem. If I had listened to my intuition and moved that plant (instead of listening to my dad) I probably could've negated this mess. Windy as hell yesterday. Maybe that's why I don't see mich damage from the thrips. The runt in the 50 has some silver ingredients on it. I'm considering using spinosad. Those are way earlier in flower and that shit WORKS. I'll keep an eye out on the dosage and see what the can handle. I left out plant doctor as I'm dealing with thrips. Took a leaf that looked like sep off the pink kush in the 50 with half used soil. I didn't have much time to look around but I will when I get back and I'll put some vids/pics up. The plants that I treated with citric acid looked no worse for the wear and actually BETTER than they hadcthe day before. The other 10th planet and the Pink kusg in the ten are the worst. If I can't beat it I may junk them. I'm planning on treatingvtge plants I didn't yesterday tonight. I may use a different treatment I'm not sure. EDIT: Went back over and took a few pics and a video. I defoliated a SHIT TON of leaves. I can just tell the ones that the thrips have been sucking and laying eggs. It's windy as hell. Plants are going crazy. I'm wondering if the wind will hurt the thrips. Maybe I should've just stood with the wind at my back and throw a buNch of D.E. in the air and have it coat the plants. I'm scared of using d.e. because it absorbs so much water. It's like 80%! The year I had fusarium I put a bunch of d.e. on the soil and it retained water like a mofo. The plants I treated showed no I'll effects. I'm th8nkobg I'm going to remove patient zero and isolate it. And I'm considering using spinosad on the pink kush. What would you do? If you had to use something in the middle of flower or loss your crop which would you choose? I'll probably just use citric acid or the rubbing alcohol. I don't know. I'll keep it updated. ON PLANTS WITH SMALLER FLOWERS I WAS ABLE TO JUST FOLD THE LEAVES UPWARD AND GET THE BOTTOMS. ILL CHECK AND SEE HOW IT WORKED IN THE MORNING AND GO FROM THERE. WE GOT SOME GOOD RAIN TODAY. IM WORRIED ABOUT MOLD THOUGH. THATS WHY IM HESITANT TO SPRAY BUT SOME FLOWER IS BETTER THAN NONE. 8/26 IT POURED last night. Sheet rain. I also have some insect (ear wigs or pillars) that target lower branches and kinda lollipop them. I hope it's not earwigs because I've had bas luck dealing with them. I'll have to check at night. Bubble og man these ladies loved being topped they were not growing the fastest before topping but after getting topped they have really been stretching out they very much have a scrog potential the branchs bend easily and have good distance between nodes to work with The day has come and it's time to flip these ladies to flower. I was planning on letting them go untill Friday and let the smaller ones grow just a bit more but they will be fine. I have the eternity cup contest in mind and I'm thinking timing so I need to get these lady done and out my tent lol. This past week I turned the light up alot getting them ready to flower they have grown a bunch inhavendone lst maybe 5 it 6 times on the branchs and they arw nit bendy anymore that will help durring flower.

the waterworks come covered in some olie residue and i only did a few rinses. I think it kept the ph high for some time and i did a few more water cycles after complete setup. Everytime getting rit of more oil film. I like the bucketd rinsed the leca pepples in high ph tap water and again it took me some time to get ph down but this time no oil residue :) After a few days i felt i got ph under control so started the canna nutes schedule.

Good stretch this week, I haven’t lollipopped at all, not even in veg. It’s fairly leafy everywhere and I want to get in there and defoliate bottom 1/3 soon. A lot of dead leaves I imagine, just been so busy and been neglecting the grow. Funny, how when you first start out and you’re overly micro-managing and then as the months go by, it starts to become a chore. I ordered a light from China, a Meijiu (HLG)550 V3. HLG Canada didn’t want to give me a decent discount so, unfortunately had to ship my money outside the country. Saved 50% for a quality light though. Might take a bit to get here, been processing in Hong Kong for 4 days. So far the leaves are healthy but last run they started to turn deficient after the stretch. In my defence, with the last grow, I was just starting on the dry nutrient regimen and made mistakes. Hopefully it stays healthy throughout bloom cycle with new changes and knowledge. New reservoir this week as follows: Partial drain, most of it gone, but 100mL RO added and; 40 gram cal nit 30 jacks 30 mag sulph. 100mL mighty bloom enhancer 100mL head masta 300 mL h2o2 25 mL Fulvic 40mL Humic pH ended up high with addition of bloom enhancer, added pH down to 5.8. PPM 1360. Wednesday-Day 10 Added water and some nutes. PPM 1200 pH 6.0 Started a small section of lower 1/3 defoliation Day 11 Did some more defoliation, added a video to show progress. Day 12 Finished lollipop on right plant. Moved some branches around. Added 20 liters and 20g cal nit, 10g of both jacks and magnesium sulphate.

Day 50. Tallest Kush chopped by breeders recommendations, but in my conditions like a week at least away. Had max 20% milky, most clear, plant suffered some deficiency and was faiding slowly, still. Instead of Christmas flowers - 5 colas surprised my friends, colours and crystals are amazing. She was watered last 4 rounds with water and i will compare taste and effect , but i think it's a loosing tactics - such early crop. Not more than 40 expected from what left ;))) 5 out of 17 colas was taken away. I will add a third of weight, for real feel in totals. Day 67. After 24 hours of darkness all girls are chopped. Will make review and update in a week or so.
