Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. This diary should have been updated a long time ago but the lack of time and mine reluctance to actually go back to the time of harvest, I did delete most of photographs of the harvest in rage as it was not a nice memory for me, here is why. So the last update i made to the diary was on 19 September and already then i knew something was brewing because we had a week long rain spell and it did not look like it was about to stop at that and the weather forecast showed a month more of rain. Without that rain and high RH i would probably give them girls one more week under the SE 7000 :/ The weather forecast was unfortunately right, so all in all we had around six week of relentless rain...outside it was from 90 to 95% RH in my house it was mostly 85%RH and in my grow room which is located in a basement i had from 60 to 63%RH with lights and dehumidifier on and around 70% with lights off. And that was a killer for my tightly packt grow room. What i did was to open all the walls from the grow room at dark time and had two big external fans blowing air at my plants but it did not help much... My first observation of bud rot was on 24 of September while making photographs of the beautiful buds. That week i lost to bud rot 4 bud stems, after the chop while drying i found another 5 infected stems, and by final trim just before jaring them i removed one more. So all together i lost to bud rot 10 bud stems, four of them were really big ones. I had made some pictures of the buds with bud rot and of the buds hangin in drying room but they did not survive my dark mood :( Sot thats the reason i got only few photographs to show for it. The final weighing was actually not as bad and lightened my mood a bit, that and that that i did not found any more mold on my cured Killer Kush :) So the dry weight after curing was 720 gram of dry bud I still till today did not make # from all the trimmings...but the trimmings are properly dried and waiting for bubble bugs in my freezer. After this learning experience i decided to add at least one more 30W air mixing internal fan, and i did get to know one of my relatives possess a 300W dehumidifier so next time i will be better prepared. Maintenance wise i will try to defoliate and lollipop my plants more aggressively to let in more air penetration.

Burned tips on clones too... Lot of plain rain water for everyone! Anyway, buds look great : they're long and get fatter. I tried a wet sample in vaporizer yesterday : it tasted bad but it was potent enough to put a smile on my face... 😋 So I removed a few popcorn buds and put them to dry : it's covered with trichromes and it smells good. I'll vaporize this dry sample later, no doubt it'll taste better.

So sadly we lost the first seed to some unforeseen catastrophe. So we popped another one and it has taken the place of its sister wonderfully. all 3 plants are the same strain from the same seed provider. I used Peet pellets for the first time and I am extremely disappointed. they all popped within 18 hrs, it was a promising start, but I think the webbing holding the pods together is constricting the roots on the plant to the left. there was a devastating transplant that had damaged some roots but the other 2 plants seem to be....ok patience... if you noticed I had a heating mat for about the first full month of growth, I live in an old apartment and we have old windows that don't hold the heat, I wanted the plants to grow and develop enough before I took it out of the room. this may have stunted growth for a few days this past week but I believe it was a must to keep the plants health... they were my last 3 seeds SPIDER FARMER... I have had this light for under a year and was very lucky to get the adjustable dimmer when I did order it...its an incredible tool for growing and since we don't want light in the tent we can't have a digital readout showing power from the dimmer and this is why I got the "EVE SMART PLUG"... it works perfectly with the SPIDER FARMER light and will help me perfect my future grows. SECRET JARDIN.... y'all need to do something about these loud 6" oscillating fans....I thought one was a fluke until I plugged the second in..... terrible, absolutely garbage...

Everything went well More pics of her coming along with weight. I decided that since seeds are popping out, found a couple seeds on the floor, and no need to wait for the fade she served her purpose well. And she brings forth the next Generation ! Red Sky Cake !

This is most likely my last update before harvest. More and more trichomes are turning cloudy with about 2-5% Amber. Gave her her last feeding yesterday and I figure there's about a week left. My usual plan is letting the water level drop for a few days then flush when there's 3 days left. A lot of the buds in the middle are ending up fairly small but everything's really dense.

Week 12 of Gelato 41 by seedstockers, Just look at that growth😂 Shes been loving the rain it looks like 😍 Showing no pest issues... showing no nutrition issues either. Her colour is beautiful 😍 Letting her soak up all that rain water from the pot. Probably wont water for 7days to see how she does. Have Still been morning spraying them when its not pouring with rain. Also topped her on a branches they i felt like needed it.

9/25/19 What an insane plant. I am now giving her 3 gallons of feeding every 4 days. When I defoliate the bottom, I think I stressed the plant because one of the top bud’s color changed. I know it’s not light burn because the other bud sites did not do that. Other than that I’ve dropped her feeding to 8ml/gallon from 10ml/gallon. I am seeing some nute burns as well. She’s enjoying the 4x5x8 grow tent. I have 2 x 240W COBs on and the plant is sharing along with 2 x Glueberry OG by Dutch Passion and 2 x White Widow by RQS. I deleted the other diaries because I got too lazy and was too much for me to update them. I really appreciate every one’s support on this plant. Thank you.
