Today 7/30/19, day 57 and the start of week 9. I'm still continuing to alternate between days with my pesticide treatment (especially after finding that bug living on one of hulkberries fan leaf) and thrive alive green daily foliage spray as a prophylactic solution against any possible pests or mold going into these last few dog days of veg. I will flush them with distilled ph'd water for two days this weekend in preparation for flower. Then I'll start them on some "flower fuel" bloom booster on top of my secret for success flower recipe at 1/4 of the recommended strength. Outside of that still no adverse issue to report for the end of the 8th week. After my last trim, they both have responded very nicely, I was kind of worried about fat banana stalled growth. But one thing I noticed when I topped her at the 6th node, yes the main stem stopped growing but it developed many bud sites up and down every stem. Whereas hulkberry was topped at the 8th node, she has mainly focused on developing long stems and only 2 or 3 bud sites along her stems. Even though hulkberry in structure, is much bigger than fat banana and has a way bigger root system. Fat banana is bushier and has developed way more bud sites than hulkberry. I can't tell which strain will yield the most at this point only time will tell! Also, a big shout out to "J"@RQS, thank you for the excellent customer service. Another reason why Royal Queen Seeds is top 3 in breeding!!

Day 17 - I started to feed everything from the dutchpro chart which as someone on here pointed put may not have been a good thing to do since my soil already had nutrients. Day 18 - The plant leaf looked like it curled backwards so i posted a question to find out what i was doing wrong. There could be a few different reason for it; but one i thought made a difference was the nutrients because the soil i got is high in nutriets for seedlings and after 1 week i started to add nutrients. Day 19 - I been a little worried that my plant is not growing it, so i will be measuring it every 3 or so days. Day 20 - The light that i had was a full spectrum led and now i changed it to a normal 60w led bulb i hope this helps the growth. Day 21 - I Changed the lights back to the blue ones as it was advised better.

Not exactly sure what day this plant is on but she is a monster! Getting very close to harvest time will probably chop her in the next week or so have been flushing for about a week now. Thanks for following & happy growing friends!✌️🏼🙏🏼🌱

Entering the 6th week of flowering and things are going well. Expect to see some proper growth now. Things were lagged at the start.

Day 23 stacking and packing!!! She’s getting stinky and dank...... got a slight nutrients burn on a couple remo nutrients plants been flushing to get the EC down lots of growth lots of trichome

Over all was an amazing grow, super sticky dense nugs with smell of berries, highly recommended for everyone!!

Getting bigger and bigger

She's getting towards the end now. Just watching the trichomes. At the moment all of them are crystal clear.

This was a great strain for my first grow! The plant was forgiving of my several mistakes throughout the grow and just kept bouncing back. I had self-created problems with over watering, not enough nutrients toward the last few weeks (I started flushing and scaling back nitrogen too early, thinking I had a nitrogen issue). I'm waiting to review the smoke and high until after curing. I tested the THC and it's coming in at 17.5%-18%.

// Day 78 I put her inside. I know, that's cheating, but I do not care right now. The weather will be abyssymal in the next days and I do not want to keep her just in my room at the balcony door because she stinks amazing, but I can't let her stink up the apartment. And she is pretty late in flower, I really want her to work on the buds, let them thicken up and I just want to enjoy the outcome in the end. This grow is already incredibly long for an autoflower and she still needs 2-3 more weeks, when looking at her bud sites. I don't want to harvest trash buds after investing 3 to 4 months into a plant. If the weather is good again, she will be back outside. If the weather is trash with rain all day, I'll keep her in the tent. My main concern is her bud development. The sites are huge but the calyxes are just not fattening up. You can see it in the pictures, they're very airy and overall not "sexy" looking, if you know what I mean. I hope that she finishes nicely since this grow went amazing so far. She is an absolute unit and I want her to finish perfectly. Let's see how she developes in the next 14 days. With 78 days, this plant is very old, but I've seen autoflowers getting harvested after 90 days or even 100 days. So I will just keep calm for now and I try to enjoy the last 2-3 weeks of her grow life. // Day 83 She is bulking up nicely. Unfortunately, I needed to remove 1 headbud from a side stem because I saw spider mite webbing... I hate that. The other buds seem clean, in general does this strain have not many pests on it. But they managed to set up a little camp in there so I removed the whole top bud of the side branch.

Ordered a scale the other day so should have some more numbers tomorrow! Not going to sample anything until I get the scale, then I'll update with some more details.

The harvest of the first medusa F1 hybrid at day 93 after germination. The trichomes were starting to turn amber. I probably could have let her ripen for a bit longer. I am amazed how fat she has gotten, the weight of the flower is too heavy for the branches. Way to go RQS for breeding such a fast growing autoflower. She is already in the drying tent for 5 days now at a temperature of 19 °C with a humidity of around 55-60%. I want a nice and slow drying process to preserve the terpenes and cannabinoïds. This will take about 2 weeks in my opinion, when the branches start to give a clean snapping sound when bending. I will make a harvest blog once the flowers are dried and I have weighed the buds for the yield. This lady only received some LST and a little defoliation throughout the entire grow. I also dont flush the plant at the end since this myth was debunked by a scientific article. A flush is only needed if you overfed the plant. Dr bruce bugbee also confirmed this. The dry tent smells of hay/grass, which is logical because the plant still has a lot of chlorophyll inside. Untill the harvest blog! Check my other Medusa F1's for the progress of the experiment. Easy going week. nothing much to report. The EC pen I got is acting weird already. sometimes I'll put it in the feeding liquid and it will display 400ppm something. Then if I move it about or drip it in and out it will jump up to 700ppm something. I doing it over and over till I get a base line and go from that. this weeks EC was aorund 680ppm but the video does not show the other dips I did. PH still kicking aorund 5.9. I find it more annoying to adjust just the waters PH for these plants on the balcony where everything else is "as is" Will try this again indoors in a peat and perlite medium void of any other additives when It can have more of my undivided attention. maybe on the other seeds I got from FB via a friend in the mail. Side note uploading videos into the diaries is great and all, but takes to long to resize and process, can't hit save till its all done... no idea what its doing in the backend. stupid rule on contest must have videos every week,

Defoliation happened mid week before a trip away for a few days got home today to see they have just popped. Growing very nicely even the little one that was pegged down to spread it out. Plants ranging from 20cm to 35cm and all looking very happy with themselves. They have also been getting some 90’s grunge music that apparently they dance along to
