Welcome back once again to my DWC tutorial for beginners like Me. As this grow is drawing to an end I decided that this week I'll run back thru the topics I previously discussed for a bit of revision . Firstly I'll mention the plants progress. The Blue cheese auto is almost ready to pick , The calyxes are swelling and the trichomes are mostly clouded now with a few amber. I will let her run thru until monday the 9th before starting the flushing process with some flawless finish. This go for aprox 2 days and then I'll just run her on plain water until the end of week 7 Unless She's ready before then She's Drinking nutes still and I've dosed her up with the last of the liquid guano concentrate . Now for some revision of what we have already discussed . *Week 1* I showed how to make some bubble buckets with full instructions and pictures *Week 2 *Was all about water chemistry and that Cannabis prefers to be in a range from 5.5 - 6.5 when growing in hydroponics *Week 3* Was about the importance of keeping your tds and ph meters calibrated and working properly *Week 4* All about nutrient mixing and how to prepare a nutrient solution *Week 5* was all about how the plant contracted rust fungus and how over the coarse of just one week and the use of sulfur I overcame the issue and the plant won *Week 6* Was the weekly care guide for new growers Basically explaining the care you must provide from day to day to keep the plant healthy *Week 7* Was all about the optimum environment and conditions your plants will need to thrive We discussed the use of fans etc to keep the grow area cool etc *Week 8* Pests and diseases that can attack your plants we discuss the ways to combat this *Week 9* No tutorial just a full plant update with pics *Week 10* was about nutrient problems and deficiencies how to read what your plants are telling you and how to either prevent or fix any problems *Week 11* was about the plants trichomes and how to tell when the optimum harvest times by watching their development. Ideally you want them Clouded with a few amber . but this will differ from user to user and from strain to strain. *Week 12* was a revision of the previous weeks and next week will be the final plant pics before harvest . Mintz Runtz automatic is doing good, she has exploded in growth the last week. So I continued to lst her and then give her center a good defoliation. Open her up to turning into a bush basically. I’m a few days late with my entry because I was busy in the other tent finishing up with a project. The express is going along nicely. I duped the nutrients and ran a few days of florakleen to run a test and see if stripping the salts and removing the nutrient bond as advertised makes a difference. She has a big beautiful stall and all her branches are supported nicely.

Well, it's flowering... A bit slow but what can I do? Defoliated for the first time, I'm hoping it's gonna be ok!

Troede jeg havde fået dræbt hende grundt ph plus chok men jeg skiftede alt van ny gødning og ph 5,9 også skyllede jeg rødderne rigtigt godt tog de største blade væk:) og nu kan jeg ikke se hun har været ved at dø!/) Hydro er bare det bedre og man kan hurtigt rede sine fejl:)

In der fünften Woche habe ich es gewagt. Nachdem ich die Weiße Witwe schon etwas trainiert habe, wurde sie jetzt auch oberhalb des fünften Sprossknotens abgeschnitten. Dazu habe ich meine Nagelschere benutzt (siehe Video), mit der ich mir auch die Fußnägel schneide. 😅 Dann wurde die unterste Nodi noch entfernt. Jetzt hat sie noch vier Nodien übrig, die zu acht Blütenstände wachsen sollen. Es war das erste Mal, dass ich eine Pflanze getoppt habe. Um sie besser runter binden zu können, habe ich einen Haselnusszweig quer über den Topf befestigt. Das macht das Festbinden um einiges leichter. Die Cherry-Lady lasse ich ohne Training etc. wachsen. Sie ist aktuell ca. 40 Zentimeter hoch. Hier werde ich in den nächsten Tagen nur etwas entlauben. Die untersten Blätter können abgemacht werden. Sie sehen nicht sehr gut aus. Die Kirschen-Lady kann auch einen größeren Topf vertragen. Sie wird bald umgetopft. Der PH-Wert der Supermarkt-Blumenerde ist mit etwa 8 zu hoch. Der Idealwert liegt zwischen 6 und 7. Ich werde dafür Rhododendron- und Hortensienerde besorgen. Damit wird ein eigener Mix hergestellt. Solange bleibt sie aber noch in ihrem kleinen Topf, dem ich einen Mantel verpasst habe. Der Jutebeutel soll die Pflanze vor den Trauermücken schützen. Das abgeschnittene Teil der White Widow wird versuchsweise in einen kleinen Anzuchtbehälter gesteckt und ordentlich nass gehalten. Ich bin gespannt, ob es mir gelingt, die Pflanze zu klonen. peace & love

Went abit over the top with the defoliation but first time for everything think people call it mainlining or something and looks like the cuttings have took there’s new green growth

Today is the start of week 3. Recap on week 2: everything went pretty smoothly. Both firls for nutrients this week and took well to them. As well as starting to feed, they also both entered their forever homes, and both seem very happy and healthy. P2 is having some discoloration on her first true leaves, but all of the new growth looks good, so I'm going to write it off as she wasn't happy about no nutes for so long. All-in-all I think this week went well. P1 is showing promising signs of making a full recovery from her near drowning as a seedling, so that's great!

They are completely different from the classic automatics, something between the automatics and the photo period, so I still don't know... I hope that they will strengthen a little, expand, increase the plants... and you can't expect a yield like some varieties like Gorilla cookies... But definitely... This smell so early, it's amazing, As the creators described it, it's like that. 😀🍀

Now we've reached day 25. We are in the transition phase, pre-flowering if you want, when the seedlings reveal their sex by showing the white fluff or the boyish balls. Here and in all F1 Hybrids you can be SURE, SURE as death that you will never see any balls. If you have underestimated this aspect of the F1 Hybrid, go back and think about how many times you found the balls on the paint, full of pollen that fertilized your ladies. Do you like having young ladies impregnate you? Absolutely not for me and this is a very valid reason why you can choose the F1 Hybrid. Really guys the seeds suck and the genetics of the various breeders if they don't do a job like this it means that they are super hybrid poles with genetic traces scattered here and there. Inglourious bastards. Here we don't want to be Aryan but to cultivate healthy plants with safe results. Our Wurlz F1 per mea culpa mea culèa mea grandissima culpa shows some signs of overfeeding, the famous yellow tips of the leaves. Let's be clear, this is minor and is due to the fact that these genetics are so good that they need very little or no fertilizer in the vegetative phase. Then if you already have fertilized soil, forget about growing guys, another pro! I gave the recommended doses even a little less to tell the truth of both Aptus and Plagron and the plants more or less all have these small signs of over. LITTLE guys, wait until the end to save if you feel like it, or at least I recommend it. To fix this little thing we go to flush with pH 6.2 and only give Aptus Regulator which should rebalance the plant and soil before delicately moving on to fertilizers for flowering. I pollinated a side bud of this girl and her seeds are developing quickly. Which is exciting for the sake of future grows. Other then that the buds are not super big at all but look super quality so I am happy with how things are progressing. As the week comes to an end the trichromes are really coming in and she is starting to smell very nice. I think one more week of flowering to fatten up a little more and then I will flush to finish. I learned that I started to feed flowering nutes to early and so my first two autos did not get super tall as a result. Learning a lot with my first indoor grow and first time with autos, I read a really solid breakdown of Autoflowers lifecycle that was super informative. I'll leave here, and post it with my final harvest post here. Knowledge is power 😎 LIFECYCLE OF AN AUTO A common question I see is when to switch autos from veg to bloom. Many people are under the impression that as soon as they see the first flowers it's time to switch. Perhaps a little explanation of the life cycle of autos will help to clarify this. Weeks 1 - 3. Once you've started your seeds and they break the surface of the soil, they are in their seedling stage. The first set of leaves to appear will usually single fingered, followed by a second set that may still be single fingered or perhaps 3 fingered. Once that second set appears growth will start to accelerate as the new leaves provide more photosynthesis. This process will continue, more new leaves, faster growth. Depending on the type of soil in use, mild vegetative nutes can be introduced at week 2. By week 3 most plants will start to show their sex. Males will start to produce pollen sacks and females will display pistils. Weeks 4 - 6. The plants are now entering a pre flowering stage. During this time the plants should exhibit explosive growth, often as much as a new set of nodes and 1" vertical growth a day. This is the time when they will gain most of their vertical height. Many people make the mistake of switching from vegetative to flowering nutrients at this point, assuming that since they see flowers it must be the proper time. This is incorrect. If the switch to flowering nutes is made at this time the vertical growth will stop and the plant will put it's energy into producing buds. If you need to keep your plants small, or want them to finish earlier, they by all means switch nutes at this point. But if you want to get the most out of your plants continue feeding vegetative nutes until you see the vertical growth slow and stop. Depending on the strain that will usually be sometime during week 5 or 6. Weeks 7 - 9. By now vertical growth has stopped and the switch to flowering nutrients has been made. The buds will start to fill out and put on weight, becoming hard and tight. Pistols will start to change from white to brown, orange, red, etc. By now the plants will also have developed a strong smell. Toward the end of this phase the large primary and smaller secondary fan leaves will begin to turn yellow. This is an indication that the plant is moving toward the end of it's life. Weeks 10 - 11. At this time flowering nutes should be discontinued and only plain pHed water fed to flush the remaining nutrients from the soil and improve the taste. Yellowing of the fan leaves will continue as the plant draws the stored energy from them. Eventually they will die and fall off. By the time that the smaller leaves that come from out of the buds will also start to turn yellow. Then it's time to harvest. I know that many of you are thinking that the seed bank said the plants will finish in 8-9 weeks, so why are you saying they take 10-11? The claims made by the seed banks are somewhat deceptive. If you switch to flowering nutes at week 3 or 4 the plants can finish in the times the seed banks say but they will remain small and not reach their full potential yield. Years of growing by myself and others has shown that autos do best if you follow this time line. Of course, there will always be variations depending on the strain, the environment, nutrients, etc. This information is meant to only serve as a general guideline.

7/19: Started new nutrients today. Filled gallon jug with new nutes. Poured half of new nute mix in half gallon jug. Poured the entire half gallon jug into reservoir. 7/20: Bumped light intensity to 50% 7/21: Filled reservoir to the 2nd line today. Added a total of 1 gallon to res to get it to that line. Poured the rest of the mixed nutes for this week (half gallon) and then another half gallon of just plain water. 7/24: Bumped light intensity to 55% 7/25: Sadness today 😞.. While in the process of doing more LST today I accidentally snapped the main stem. I Panicked! Moved plant back in opposite direction to counteract the split. Will be monitoring very closely! 🙏🏾 ***** For this Grow****** “Day Air Temperature” will be the max temp of tent for the week. “Substrate Temperature” will be the average temp of tent for the week. “Night Air Temperature” will be the lowest temp of the tent for the week.

Tag 25: Die beiden entwickeln sich doch sehr unterschiedlich. Sehen auch völlig anders aus. Naja malsehen wie es weitergeht. Tag 28: Aus Platzgründen musste ich die vordere Pflanze runterbiegen, hoffe sie verkraftet es. Zu allem Übel ist mein Ph Tester kaputt gegangen 😭 ich musste also heute ohne eingestellten ph wert gießen. Glücklicherweise bekomme ich schnell morgen Ersatz. Doch habe ich diesen Ph tester erst seit nicht mal 2 Monaten. Ich könnte heulen das alles so kompliziert geworden ist ......😢

05/17 - Both are vegging accordingly - applied a hard LST to even out the canopy and distribute light coverage around the plants - Both are currently in 1 gallon pots - Both will be transplanted into 5 gallon pots by the end of the week - I will begin micro-dosing their nute feeds to negate transplant shock. 05/18 - Both ladies are doing great after transplant (5 gall pots) - No transplant shock - I gave them both a heavy hit of silica to assist in the transplant recovery - They will be will be in the 2x2 until next and then both moved into the 4x4. 05/23 - Both of the ladies have blown out and top colas are healthy and tall - In an effort to expose more light coverage to the middle both plants will be moved into the 3x3 and a net will be dropped on them today or tomorrow - They will be ran in the same conditions as the nursery tent (High Temp/High Humidity) - Both ladies will also be hooked up to the Vivosun drip emitter system for more consistent and efficient feeds.
