Day 37 - Hitting the ladies with a little LST. My cloner project took a bit of a backseat to life, so I'm a little late in the game to top these babies.... So I decided I'm going to do something I have never done before.... Let these plants grow naturally. Yeah, you read that right, I've never let a plant just grow out without some sort of fun training technique. Even my very first grow was riddled with aggressive plant shaping. This time will be different! This time I will be just doing some very basic LST to open up their branches to more light. I went in and stripped some of the inner growth sites that would have produced nothing but popcorn buds being so hidden from light. I then created anchor points around the grow bags by pushing toothpicks through the holes in the mesh. I like this because it gives me the ability to easily move around anchor points by simply sliding out the toothpicks and moving them where I please. I got the idea from seeing someone else use pushpins once, but I didn't have any on hand. And so, the toothpick hypothesis was born, and so far its working very well! Both ladies look much happier now that they're getting more light to their branches. The leaves on these Blazin' Skywalker plants are just so effing fat that they've been doing a solid job at blocking light to the branches. I tried doing some leaf tucking early on, but the branches just weren't quite long enough for me to properly tuck the leaves behind them and would constantly come un-tucked. She had gotten a bit over watered so I let her go a few extra days between watering. The next morning, she let me know I did the right thing. 💜

Мне не понравился эксперимент с использованием средства для пересадки, субстрат попросту забился желеобразными комочками(я так и не понял в чем профит), и для лучшей циркуляции воздуха в прикорневой зоне мне пришлось проделать аккуратные тоннели деревянной палочкой. Плюс я поздно начал вносить базовые удобрения, и растишки проявили признаки недоедания. Но я почти вовремя всё исправил, и концу недели я вижу позитивные тенденции к дальнейшему развитию. Разумеется, после всех потрясений растения были не готовы к любым манипуляциям с ножницами, и топпинг пришлось отложить(думаю мои ошибки затянули вегу где-то на неделю, хвала Джа у меня фотики!), а пока имеем что имеем. D36 - The first day in the first week of flower. The girls look healthy overall, although there are a couple of minor issues. A single leaf on the first girl has some discolored spots. I used a loupe to look closer at it but couldn't see any pests, so I'm not sure what the issue might be. On the other hand, the second girl has light-colored leaf tips on the topmost growth. It reminds me of light bleaching, but I checked with the meter, and it was only reading 400 PPFD, so I doubt that is the issue. There are a few light-colored tips on the first girl's top as well, but it is less pronounced than on the second girl. Minor issues for sure, but I'll keep my eyes on them. I did some additional LST to keep the girls squat and bushy, and I gave each 1.25-liters of water @ pH 6.2 with 25 ml EM-1. D37 - I decided to remove the spotty leaf, and took a look with the microscope but couldn't really see anything. D38 - More LST D40 - Even more LST D41 - Just pics today. I haven't spotted any more spotted leaves (Ha), and the light-colored tips haven't progressed. So far so good... D42 - We're at the end of the first week of flower, and all is well. I did minor defoliation on the lower branches, removing fan leaves that weren't getting any light, and continued with the LST to maintain a flat canopy. I finally turned on the Blumat system since the soil had dried out enough to be in a reasonable range. I need to monitor it for the next few days, ensuring it runs correctly. The pH of the water in the reservoir is 6.7. I also increased the amount of light the girls are getting to around 550-600 PPFD at the canopy level.

4/8 super plump and thick. Its like a square rock hard prism shaped top cola. Water intake has slowed quite a bit. The end is nearing. I give it another couple weeks 4/12 shes super pretty. Orange Pistils, dark green buds with light purple,pinkish tones on some of the bud leaves. Reminds me of the gorilla skittles online picture

Eh estado desconectado pero aquí va algo más de estas nenas, aun las tengo en periodo de vegetación. Lo que si esta semana logramos instalar la carpa correspondiente para estas nenas así que estamos esperando a llenar la carpa y poder pasar a floración. La estructura habla por si sola, aun no le hago amarres correspondientes ya que estoy esperando que me lleguen los soportes y poder darle más vigor del que ya tiene con el apoyo. Estamos probando cannaboost via folear 3 veces por día 2 ml x litro. lo vamos a utilizar hasta el día 21 de floración y comenzamos vía riego. quiero comprobar diferencias ya que todos mis cultivos tengo que probar alguna cosa nueva ya sea estilo de alimentación o lo que sea. Hey everyone! 👋 It's week 9 and the girls have really impressed me! 😵 The plant that's on the back of the tent (or the one closer to the timelapse video) was the most troubled one of the two (long leave stems, tons of branches, their leaves weren't very strong) but this week something happened and she stretched a lot, it was shocking! Perhaps she was stunned or something was affecting her? No idea but she even responded really well to the defoliation I did! (and to be clear, I did a lot of defoliation 😝). Her sister on the other hand was just developing well and it's clear she's a little more ahead. One important thing that I realized this week (and I completely forgot) is that these plants are autos and their flowering phase is shorter compared to the ones from a normal feminized plant. So regardless of which plant might be ahead of the other I decided to start feeding both of them (not full dose!) with my NP nutrients. Hopefully both will receive them well! And that's all for now. The ladies are starting to stretch and flower. We also did a defoliation and lollipop session at the end of week 2 flower. Canopy and bud sites look good and are a plenty. Looking forward to next couple of weeks.

Finally back to the garden after 4 weeks away. They were really in need of love by the time I got back to take care of the garden. BIG NEWS! Now running a California Lightworks Solarxtreme 500 as my main light. Will add a second SX500 light into the room once I start flower. Hit the LST on the again and just making sure they are getting fed and lots of love. Will have to push back my starting flower by another few weeks. See how the recover
