50th day of flowering behind us Purple Punch X Do-si-dos # 1 and # 2 ripen trichomes are milky, at the end of 8 weeks they will go under the scythe. Zombie Kush has a moment too, it looks unbelievable, the resin is fluffy and the velvet splendor. And bananas hopefully they will be good .. We are looking forward to the harvest! I believe this will be the last week this girl will stretch. Shes got arm buds at the ready and will be full on flower from here on out. In going to keep her nitrogen at a high for these next two weeks and dip out after mid week 6 and keep it just bloom shiz. She is gorgeous with 7 main colas. Would be easily 12 but one main got snapped due to her topping her own self(stakes). Yes these girls can do that. They will drive thsy stake out the ground and the California gold in my other diary did the same as well. The effort/force topped them so I lost some branches and instead took a loss. I love her and it's so crazy how she started out small. 1 gallon is blooming out. Stripped all lower sites to a degrees none of that garbage yah here. 3 gallon just got some orange hairs. We are now beginning to fall out of the stretch.

They bounced back really nice from the topping last week, did some more defoliation and let them heal from the HST. I'm considering topping them again but I don't know if it's time for flowering?!

Wow well she has jumped up!! A week ago I scraped off a couple of inches of the soil/perlite mix and replaced it with brand new compost. My grows for the last few months have been unimpressive to say the least and I've been trying to figure out the problem. I've had a few theories but the one I've settled on is my soil. I think I need to change it much more often than I have been doing previously.

######################################### HARVEST (Day 93 / June 4) ######################################### ----------------------------------------------------------- GROW SUMMARY ----------------------------------------------------------- Grown in 4x4 tent - but I only used 2x2 space because of heater and dehumidification and other plants (Outlier Z). This plant used a dedicated CMH 315 light. The plant was grown in hydroponics using a custom single-site PA hydroponics clone RDWC system with Advanced Nutrients Sensi Coco line, Microbial Mass and Orca for beneficials. I also experimented with Rapid start in the RDWC system, but I didn't see explosive root growth relying on Rapid Start as an additive to the system verse using it when starting in rapid rooters which worked well. All around a pretty easy grow and things went very well. Topped twice for a mainline structure and she really spread out. Sparkling golf ball size nugs down the branches and spaced out nicely. The scent off her was like burned rubber/tires or maybe fresh blacktop. A single water change which was only performed when switching to bloom nutrients around week 7. ----------------------------------------------------------- HARVEST ----------------------------------------------------------- No dark period and no flush. On day 93 she was chopped and hung to dry. ----------------------------------------------------------- DRYING ----------------------------------------------------------- Entire plant hung upside down for 15 days. The temps were dialed in at 60F by using the S6 intake fan pulling air from the AC through intake vent on side of the tent. Humidity was dialed in at 63%/60F for 24hr, 62%/60F for the next 48hr. Then 60%/60F for the third day and onward. AC Infinity T6/S6 exhaust and intake fans were on the setting of '2' during drying until day 7, then I could turn down to a setting of '1' once the plants were not transpiring excess moisture. Trimmed on day 18. Then the jars were left open in the tent for another 12 more days for a full 30 day dry at 60%/60F while rolling the jars frequently. Also ran dehumidifier in the tent but it only ran for 1-2 minutes every hour because the AC was doing most of the dehumidification on the intake. ----------------------------------------------------------- TRIMMING ----------------------------------------------------------- Trimming was an absolute breeze. All swelled nuggets, very little sugar leafs left to trim. ----------------------------------------------------------- CURING ----------------------------------------------------------- Flower product was transferred to 1L mason jars averaging 35g of product per jar. I added a mini hygrometer to each jar and chose not to use a boveda this time. The RH averaged 62-64% when trimmed flowers went in jars. Jars were left open in the tent for a total dry time of 30 days from harvest keeping the tent at 60%/60F. Once closed, the jars were burped once a day for the first seven days, once every other day for the next seven days, rolling jars often. The burp was only for 3-5 second for air exchange until a. 62% was maintained in the jar. ----------------------------------------------------------- YIELD ----------------------------------------------------------- * Weight calculated at 62% humidity after 30-day dry and 14-day cure. ============================== FLOWER PRODUCT ============================== 180.41g (6.44oz) ============================== TRIM PRODUCT ============================== 57g (2.03oz) ** All major fan leaves, stems, and branches removed from trim product. ============================== TOTAL OVERALL YIELD ============================== Total: 238.41g (8.51oz) ============================== SPACE YIELD ============================== 238.41g / 4 sqft (2x2 canopy) = 59.60g per sqft ============================== WATTAGE YIELD ============================== 315 Watts / 4 Square Foot (3x4 canopy) = 78.75 watts per sqft. 238.41g / 315 watts = 0.76 grams per watt ----------------------------------------------------------- PRODUCT TEST ----------------------------------------------------------- Bag appeal is top-notch. Trichome covered, with aromas of that unique 'kush' you can quickly identify based on experience. Best OG Kush I've ever tried, hands down! The flavour is kushy, smoke is smooth and definitely my favorite strain in my tote of cured harvests at the moment. I can't keep my hands off of the jars. Definitely not a daytime strain, even for experienced users, although I'll use it in the afternoon when life is throwing curve balls. The effects rise you up, then sets you right down and will wash away all that anxiety after a long day. Put it this way....if I puff a few hours before bed, I still feel it the next morning when I peel my eyes open. No joke. I'll definitely be growing this one again, maybe even next run because I'll be sad when I run out. ----------------------------------------------------------- REGRETS ----------------------------------------------------------- Not running more of this amazing plant. ----------------------------------------------------------- NEXT RUN ----------------------------------------------------------- This was the first run at my new residence so it will take some time to get it dialed in. I had some calibration issues which are now fixed. I'm going to be shooting for 1gram per watt on the next run. ----------------------------------------------------------- FINAL THOUGHTS ----------------------------------------------------------- DarkOwl is the best autoflower I've grown yet. I'm now eager to give the Bruce Banner #3 they released a run and will surely acquire future releases from DarkOwl. ----------------------------------------------------------- THE END ----------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for checking out my diary! Everything is looking good so far. Plants have really exploded in growth since the flip and are filling out the screen nicely so far. We will keep tucking till she stops stretching and hopefully get most of the screen filled. We flipped her a bit early In the screen fill stage do to a shortage of stock so we need a quick turn around on these girls cause even in Canada with legal weed it’s hard to find good medical grade that’s not ridiculously priced at a legal store. Wayyyyy cheaper to grow our own. Water was changed out at beginning of this week as well and nute’d at 3/4 strength with Remo flowing lineup and UC root at full strength. These girls are also the early version so should be 45 days or so apparently.... we will see...lol

Day 40-47 (May 31st- June 7th) (Day 41) For the first time in this grow these plants are looking halfway decent. Smell is ramping up too. I finally feel optimistic about this grow. (Day 42) The two jacks and the chunky blueberry are showing early signs of N/Mg deficiencies. I know it’s late in flower but since I’m experimenting with this tent, I’m going to give them one final feeding of nature’s pride 2-5-5.5 (tbsp) along with a teaspoon of oyster shell flour and some rock dust. Everything else I’m going to give a teaspoon of rock dust and oyster shell. There is no way these amendments will fully break down in time to be used by the plant but they could at least use the pH buffering and trace amounts of minerals after their recent leach. Everything but the BAOGC is covered in pistils that don’t really match their bud size. I hope they fill into their pistils because an over abundance of hairs drops the bag appeal like crazy. Over the last few cycles, indoor and outdoor, I’ve definitely learned that different strains and phenotypes mature at different times. Sometimes really radically too. (Day 43) None of the plants are fading at all but they’re still looking good. Black garlic I know should be fading but remains dark green and toxed. I popped a developing seed out of the main bud too. I wonder if that blueberry herm branch pollinated it at all. It seems like plants don’t really like that Destiny dark matter soil by itself. I find it works better mixed with coco or promix 1:1. (Day 44) I’m starting to think I might be mixing up the TWOG and BAOGC. BAOGC took forever to fatten up last round and the 2 phenos I suspected already look done. I was thrown off by the similar terps. The beauty phenos are definitely TWOG (Day 45) God these Jack Herer’s smell good. Nothing but fruity funk. Almost like a vanilla or blueberry yogurt. I would say this stuff has the most overpowering smell in the tent now. I’ve noticed they’re starting to foxtail like crazy. Blueberry#1 too. I’m watering a final low strength feeding of seaweed extract on everything. (Day 47) Everything really fattened up this week. Even at the beginning of the week I was saying I didn’t think they would fill out. Jack Herer and BAOGC specifically made some big gains and nearly doubled their density and still have quite a way to go on them too! The smell has ramped up and finally, everything is looking happy and healthy.

Week 5 and we are sailing along just topped dressed the plants as of day 30 and feed them their weekly organic mater with compost tea and top dress some home made worm castings adding worms and biology to the soil. 2 more week since the one gallon and then into their final home. Removed all big fans as of day 31 to allow all side branches to grow out into a bush. The little fans will replace the bigger ones. Strong Smells of lemon lime noticeable after handling plants

My first attempt at a scrog and only started it at day 7 of flower so a real rush job. Very happy with the outcome, bud quality is very high as is flavour and all from a 20L pot.

Week 3 of Flower we focus on Defoilation. This really is going to test the genetics response to extreme stress. Performed a 5 day Schwazze to minimize stress instead of ripping off most leave in one day. Plant seem to have reacted well so far. This technique has really opened the canopy and expose many bud sites. Preparing for a top feed at start of new week.

Week 5.5 Smells like orange mint gelato!

Great week, plant hit it's stride and the time lapse shows it. Upping the EC to 1750 and letting her rip now. Should be seeing pistils soon.
