Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. So I was thinking that growth is quite slow in the last two weeks. Then I discovered that the roots were looking weird, and noticed fungus growing on them. So I took the roots out and you can see the problem yourself in the pictures. I removed the bottom part of the roots and I added new coco in the pots, then I placed the girls back. It's been one week now and I can see new roots coming out at the bottom of the pots. The strange thing is that the 2 plants that were healthy(completely white roots) are also having the smallest buds 😒 Btw, I also flushed them with FloraKleen and H2O2(10%, 2ml/l). Then started feeding again, but with reduced nutrients - 630ppm I also elevated the pots, so they don't touch the trays anymore and started using the dehumidifier(50% humidity). I also bought a RO system and started using RO water instead of rainwater. Damn, I hope the harvest will look decent!

Que pasa familia, vamos con la primera semana de floración de estas Drizl Pickl feminizadas de Seedstockers. Vamos al lío ,se trasplantaron en macetas de 7 litros definitivamente. El ph se controla en 6.0 , la temperatura la tenemos entre 24/20 grados y la humedad ronda el 50%. El ciclo de floración puse 12h de luz, el foco está al 50% de potencia. De momento van creciendo a buen ritmo y tienen un buen color. 📆 Week 4, 12-18 May 2024 12 May - Upgraded light to ViparSpectra XS1500Pro. 13-14 May - Observed the plant. 15 May - Plant shows first pistils. 16-18 May - Observed and let the plant grow. 📑 It was time to upgrade my light and it was an easy choice to stay with ViparSpectra. In my opinion, for small tents and the home grower they are the brightest lights available on the market. The only problem with the *2024 new versions are the dimmer switches. They limit how you can adjust the power: 5, 25, 50, 75 and 100% are the only settings, nothing in between. If you are trying to “dial” in your DLI/PPFD it makes it impossible without adjusting light height, which is quite cumbersome comparatively. Your forced to work around an issue which should have never been one! The plant is showing its first pistils this week. This doesn’t mean its in flower. There is no bud formation yet, she is just letting you know she is female. It could be another 2-3 weeks or longer before buds start developing. Bueno, así terminamos esta primera semana de flora. Muy feliz con ambas plantas. Muy fuertes. Cargado de nuevas enseñanzas y cada vez más ansioso de llegar a la cosecha. Aunque aún falta la mitad del proceso y la en parte la más difícil por temas de humedad ya que ha estado lloviendo mucho en mi ciudad y he tenido picos nocturnos de 85% aunque en parte es normal ya que estás dos primeras semanas con el corte de bajos y chiquitaje que no producirá nada ellas transpiran un poco más. Esperemos que esta semana se nivele un poco o en últimas tendré que conseguir el deshumidificador para las últimas semanas y pues nada más que agregar. Great. Week. No signs of mold or pests. Seeing plenty of lady bugs still and this is now almost a month after I first released them. Seeing some dragon flies and assassin bugs too. Niceeee Plants are doing super well. No deficiencies with plenty of swell occuring. More in some than others. The zkittles phenos that flowered early are almost ready. Maybe one more week or less.

Venga familia que ya viene la cosecha de estas Pink Runtz de RoyalQueenSeeds , que ganas que tenia ya de darles machetazo. No veas que pinta que tienen estas plantas. Las flores aparte se ven bien resinosas, y con unos tonos muy llamativos. a sido una genética con la que disfruté mucho cultivarla, es algo complicada cultivarla pero merece la pena si eres cultivador con experiencia no te será problema cosechar. Que pasa familia, vamos a añadir la primera semana de floración de estas Apple Fritter de RoyalQueenSeeds, empezamos con la temperatura que la tenemos entre los 21/25 grados, la humedad está entorno al 50%, el ph está en 6.2 , el foco actualmente lo tengo encendido 12 horas y la potencia es al 75% de lo que da el foco. También añado la gama de nutrientes de Agrobeta, que no falla, sin duda de la mejor alimentación que hay para tus plantas. Trasplantamos a macetas definitivas, 7 litros en este caso, también se ven bien verdes ya recuperaron la carencia de nitrógeno. Veremos estas próximas semanas como avanzan y se comportan en la floración. Harvest Results: • 100g trimmed large buds (wet weight) • 60g roughly trimmed - straight to freezer for bubble hash production • Abundant trim production - loaded with trichomes for hash! But for those who love the details, the full spread of pictures is right here, as always. t this point in flower, the girls are not eating — they’re just drinking clean water with nothing but System Clean in the reservoir, at a rate of 0.25 ml per liter. This is part of a gentle, prolonged flush phase I like to implement, giving the plants a chance to metabolize and fade naturally. The goal is to promote clean, vibrant flowers that finish with optimal expression, without rushing the process. No forced flush, just time and care. Lighting-wise, the spectrum has been tuned with precision — we’re currently running 40% on the whites, with reds and UVs at 100% to drive trichome development, resin production, and color expression in these final days. The plants are loving it — they’re soaking in the deeper wavelengths that signal the end of their life cycle and responding with a final push of energy. And yes — we’ve been running 11 hours of light and 13 hours of darkness from the very start of flower. It’s not the usual 12/12, and it comes with its pros and cons. The smell on this lady is absolutely insane. The only way I can describe it is a dank smelling cherry. Trimmed 2 ozs after drying got done and had the whole house smelling. Very impressed with the nose tone and taste of the Cherry Cola and its not even cured yet. Growing this plant has turned me on to the cherry terps and will continue to look for them.

Her leaves are being leached of all their nutes. We are approaching the end of this plants journey within the next week or two. Molasses and plain bottled water seem to be doing her great.

Been a busy week! Topped and stripped quite a bit from all 4 plants, turned on the air pump or the Airdomes today since we're at 4 weeks from seed. Adding some supplemental CO2 sometime this week and hopefully get some LST in depending how fast they grow.
