High temperatures, high transpiration, high turgor pressure, and lots of cell elongation. Cannabis plants can sense and respond to their surroundings. They don't have brains like humans, but they have evolved sophisticated ways to perceive and react to various environmental cues, including light, gravity, touch, water, sound, and even the presence of other plants. This ability, known as plant perception, allows them to adjust their growth, defend themselves, and even communicate with each other. Infrared light, particularly near-infrared (NIR), can influence plant growth and development by impacting various processes including initiation and elongation. UVB radiation inhibits stem and hypocotyl elongation in plants. Moderate UV-B exposure can cause a decrease in stem and leaf elongation, leading to a more compact plant architecture. Higher UV-B intensities, like 7.5 kJ·m−2, can lead to reduced elongation. So it becomes a dance of initiating a stretch to seek to higher ppfd, then whenever you want the stretching to slow down,UVB inhibits the stretch by altering hormone balance,, coupled with the high-intensity dli once you get her to a height where you want. Being autos I don't have much time to play around. So we are playing fast and loose, get stretched, and then spread her open. You get the idea. 86F 30% RH with the lower side of optimal on ppfd, with a smudgering of infra-red to initiate response of making her stretch more so than normal. Once she sprouts up in height, I drop metrics to 77F 55%RH% while upping the ppfd, giving her a dash of extra 430nm, giving the grow more of a 6000K. This encourages denser growth with less elongation. Higher side of optimal PPFD, with the auxin hormone balance changed, the side stems are starting to shoot up to the same canopy level as the apex (almost). Normally takes me 2 untrained toppings before a plant will flatten its canopy. I didn't take enough off the apex to do it in one chop, it was only day 10, so there really wasn't much to top from without creating unpredictable results using fim, opted just to keep it to a clean topping. Even predictability over the Chaos of the"Fim". Brainfart: Remember, the veg stage creates the skeleton that will stretch out into flowers. How dense you create the skeleton through light intensity will determine the density of your clusters as they form cola, as long as you can keep up with the demands. Increasing light intensity generally leads to plants having shorter internodal spacing, meaning the distance between nodes (where leaves grow) on a stem is reduced. This effect is particularly noticeable under LED grow lights, with great stress comes great dense clusters. Hello, temperature, my old friend! Goodbye, money on AC. What did the flower decide to study in college? STEM.

Everything is coming along nicely. I had some major hiccups in early flower that will probably be detrimental to my yield but at least now I know better. The two blackberry breath plants are by far the best plants in the tent. The garlics aren’t filling out like I was hoping they would and the I don’t think the cheese is going to fill out either. Getting some good terps but it’s just so airy. The slurricane looks ridiculously frosty and has some beautiful gas terps but she’s a runt, isn’t going to yield much and the powdery mildew is getting worse. I’m going to rearrange the plants in the tent to see if the pm is being caused by cold night temps or genetics. I gave one last synthetic feed to everything. I might give one more half strength depending on how done they look around day 48. I see some nice purpling and fading start. I started a new round of seeds for my next run. I’m popping the rest of the blackberry breath’s and some other random beans I had lying around. Check out my other diary if your curious. I just ordered a 12 pack of gelato 41 x dosido from Archive genetics for $290cad!!! I knew these elite Cali breeders were pricey but come on...

I topped her this week and she became very bushy within two days. I also changed her into a 10 gallon grow bag and she is loving it. I have increased nutrients this week as I noticed a slight bit of leaf curl due to too much nitrogen so washed roots down a bit a diluted nutes slightly and she came around pretty quickly! Growing quickly

12/05/24 Short Facts: Watered: 1 x 2.5L, 1 x 2.4L, 1 x 2.8L, 1 x 2.5 — Total: 10.2L VPD @ 1.4 Light @ 70% (~700 to 950 PPFD) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nothing special happened this week. The leaves are looking better, so I’m now 100% confident that it was a nitrogen deficiency combined with senescence. The buds are also getting a bit bigger now. Maybe I’ll give her a little more time and harvest her after Christmas. The Blumat Digital Pro Plus is really helpful, making my watering spot-on. Great tool!

Transplanted into the 5 gal smart bucket. Branches seem to be growing again. All main branches are tied down now, will take clones from the lower banches this week. But the red stems are worrying, I think she's stressed from repotting but I will wait and see. But the yellow new growth I will have to keep an eye on and do some reading. I was considering repotting to a 5 gal smart pot because I have the space but should leave it a while so she can recover. Thinking about what to do for flowering lights. don't know if low end LEDS might be a better option the cfls I have now.

They are both growing good.. Some issues with the runt leaves.. They are showing signs of deficiency but I've given mostly cal mag water 💦 to her. The video shows how frosty main witch is, wow.

Showing signs of flower. Checking for stress seeds or hermie plants every time I water. So far so good though. Feeding schedule seems to be working great. I'm gonna really hit em hard with the florabloom next week.

Here we are again, after hot summer ready to start again, always under the sign of Zamnesia, we make our fantastic plants and we show you what we are capable of. We have 5 autoflowering strains and 5 photoperiodic and now we present them to you. The first lady we present to you is the Blue Cheese F1 Auto, I asked the Zamnesia elves to send me these seeds because I loved this strain so much in the past. I remember well when it came out on a trip to Amsterdam we went crazy. And I remember well when a dear friend of mine used it with phenomenal results. This strain has a background in me. Great fruity flavors very intense I remember. Let's see what comes out. To explain my germination method which is a combination of experiences acquired in the field and readings of right advisors, I chose to divide it into phases so whoever wants can follow them and understand better step by step. Preparation Phase Check the average temperature in the room, humidity status to understand if it is the case to start or wait, I decided for the end of August because the temperatures start to drop towards the 22-25 degrees recommended for germination. Then another thing more or less credible depending on the sensitivity is the control of the lunar phases. I believe in it a lot, it is a method that ancient farmers used to understand when it was best to plant depending on the attraction of the moon. To make my life easier I use a simple app that advises you on the right time to plant, harvest and put in the jar (depending on the lunar phases). Phase 1 - Soaking in water. There are many authoritative friends who advise against this method due to the risk of drowning, but I have always been fine and I follow the rule if it opens in water the seed is almost certainly healthy and will come out of the soil 90% normally. Phase 2 - Opening the seed in water. As soon as the seed opens and the root comes out a little, you have to be very very careful not to leave the seed in the water open for too long. This is why there is a risk of drowning. So as soon as the root comes out, it must be planted. Do not wait for it to stretch out a lot, you can wait a little longer in the absorbent paper in water, no. Phase 3 - In the meantime, while I soaked the seeds, I prepared my pots: I use small biodegradable pots (choose those with holes underneath for drainage). A few hours before working with the opened seeds, I moistened the soil with water adjusted to the right pH (5.8 - 6.2) and Plagron Power Roots. The small root is now open and we can make a little hole with a toothpick, widen it and insert the seed. Not too deep with the root facing downwards. From Serious Seeds we learned the dome technique: if you put a small dome of soil on the seed the water will settle on the sides avoiding overwatering problems. Phase 4 - The plant emerges from the soil. So far I have not put the light, now I turn it on at minimum after half a day of soil to give direction to the seedlings. The first week the light will be gradually brought from 40% to 60% to go to 70% - 75% in the remaining weeks of veg. During the first week maximum, I keep the cycle of 24 hours to avoid stretching. Be careful not to exceed the first week at least with photoperiodic plants. — Umidity 70% - 75% — % of germination - In water 20/20 seeds have opened for good luck I'm waiting to talk when they come out of the soil but it seems that we are going towards an excellent percentage of germination..."Not too bad"... — The soil used is entirely organic in its entirety and is Plagron Promix which will be used with the 100% organic pack that you can find on Zamnesia https://www.zamnesia.io/it/11457-plagron-easy-pack-natural.html If you were looking for a reliable, versatile and accessible strain, here it is. Blue Cheese F1 Automatic by Zamnesia Seeds uses F1 genetics to produce uniform, rewarding and easy-to-grow plants. This strain stays small, so you will have no problem finding a place to grow it. After just 10 weeks from seed, you can enjoy tasty buds with relaxing effects. - strain — Get a seed of this fantastic strain - https://www.zamnesia.io/it/10673-zamnesia-seeds-blue-cheese-f1-automatic.html - Soil and Fertilizers — entirely organic - https://plagron.com/en - Growbox — https://www.secretjardin.com/ - Music and vibes — I made my girls listen to 432hz frequencies and music from www.radionula.com - Z — You can find these seeds, much more from the world of cannabis, mushrooms and an incredible series of accessories and gadgets on the reference site not only mine but of many growers https://www.zamnesia.io/it/

Did a bit of loli-popping and some defoliation on the little guys. They are moved into the new tent and adjusting nicely! Next week my NEW MARS HYDRO LIGHT! should be here and I'm pumped for that! I think theses are gonna be some big girls!!! PH 6.1 and PPM was 1220/550 (yeah! got a ppm meter!) _______________________________________________________________________ I got my new Marshydro light installed! Its fantastic and after work the first night it was AMAZING to see how the plants had perked up for it!!! Its a very nice study light and totally makes me feel better about having a bigger light!!! The ladies are having a bit of trouble but I still think things are gonna be just fine. I'll put some pics up of the trouble next week __________________________________________________________________________ I took em out for a water and realized how much sparkly they are getting! There are some ugly leaves and the plants are a shade lighter green than i want, but really things are going nicely! I gave the small plant a little booster stand and its canopy is now level with the others but its like 2 weeks behind I feel like. definitely frustrating having 1 plant lag behind the others but it is what it is!
