~MERINGUE by DUTCH PASSION~ Well friends, here we go on another 'canna-venture' together! The grow room has had a complete remodel and some upgrades done to it including brand spanking new 4x8 and 4x4 tents and a Trolmaster Hydro X controller along with a new Control Panel. This strain by Dutch Passion is one of my all time favorite strains that I've cultivated previously with phenomenal results so I'm looking forward to seeing what this girl has to offer when she's grown to her full potential! I'm going to things a bit different this time around. I have a brand spanking new AC Infinity 4x4 tent and was just given one of HLG's newest lights for 2022, The Blackbird! I've got this 600w monster hooked up to my Trolmaster Hydro X Controller so I've got full control over timing, dimming and Sunrise/Sunset. This beauty is going to annihilate the 4x4 for sure! 😎👍 I'm going to grow her all by herself and veg her for around 70-90 days after witch I'll install a trellis net in the tent and spread her out. The thing that stands out the most is the slightly unusual growth pattern, therefore more leaf picking is necessary, otherwise the lower buds will not receive enough light. Because of the slightly larger internodal distance, buds don’t have the tendency to become really big, which could make her a bit more interesting for growers with higher humidity levels. There should be enough fresh air around these flowers though, because they become rock-hard. Underneath the tray was placed a Mars Hydro Heat Mat with Controller that was set to 78℉ where it stayed until a tap root emerged. ~Planted into Jiffy Peat Pellet that was hydrated with distilled water warmed to 78℉ with a 7.0 ph. ~Once roots emerged from the Jiffy Pellet she was transferred to a 1qt plastic pot. As she grows I'll be moving her into larger pots along the way up until she's in her 10g fabric pot. ~Grown in a 10g fabric pot filled with Mother Earth 70/30 Coco/Perlite medium and fed Dutch Pro nutrients throughout the entire grow with de-chlorinated water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8. ~19/5 light cycle for vegetation, then 12/12 to flower with supplemental UVA added during the last weeks of flower. Lights are controlled by a Trolmaster Hydro X controller set for a 15min Sunrise/Sunset simulation. ~ Supplemental co2 provided throughout vegetation and flower - monitored and controlled by an AutoPilot APC8200 co2 controller. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 12/1- I soaked the seed for 3 hours in 78℉ distilled water after which it was transferred to a moist paper towel laid out in a Jiffy Pellet plastic starter tray with lid. After 30 hours she had not popped open yet so I soaked another seed for 3 hours and then into a paper towel and onto the heat mat it went. 12/3- This afternoon I checked and the seed had a root that was about 1/4 to 3/8" so at 5 pm I transferred it into a Jiffy Peat Pellet that was hydrated with distilled water warmed to 78℉ with a 7.0 ph using a tine off of a plastic fork as a 'mini trowel' to make a hole in the pellet and to gently cover the tap root, leaving only the seed head slightly exposed. This method accomplishes most of the initial work the seed has to do by eliminating having to orientate itself, push it's root down and head up. By the next morning she had her cotyledon leaves opened! 12/5- Well this is Day ONE for the Dutch Passion Meringue! I'll keep her in the covered/heated Jiffy tray until I see her roots beginning to emerge from the peat pellet, then I'll transfer her gently into her 2qt plastic starter pot to begin growing. 12/7- Today when I checked her, she had roots just starting to emerge from her pellet, so tomorrow I'll transfer her into her 'starter' pot. 😎💚 Thank you for checking out my passion in life! Switching them into flower after 8 weeks of veg. Going to get some nutrients this week as well. I decided to downsize and keep the biggest strongest plants and adopting out the rest.

Day29: New sets of leaves. I'll repot and switch to proper Veg Lights on the weekend. Day30: I'll repot tomorrow. Day31: Repotting done. She had a crazy amount of roots in the seedling pot. MUCH more than I expected. I switched to Veg lights at 90% power. Day32: Settling in new pot Day33 & 34: I had to perform some maintenance on the tent. Lost some hours due to that. Day35: Growth really looking healthy. Although she's not really stretching high, she does look rather happy. I do like them thicc ;) General: I need to put the camera somewhere else so that the growth can be better seen. Right at the end I'll edit out the white flashes. They're caused by the humidifier running and will be really easy to cut out without losing the gist of the grow :)

pH Target 5.9 - 6.2 EC Target 800-1000 Going really well. I put the second net up and it's alowing them to breathe in their own space. I really enjoy these nets now that I have had a chance to use them. Less LST, more nets for me!

Plants are doing great. I thought the 7gal would be more ready by now but you can see the difference in the macro shot from last week. Colours are changing a little as it's cold here and the room the tent is in gets down to 15-16c at night. The air is also dry af This is great, cannabis loves low humidity and a good 10 degree difference in day/night temps in flowering. Trichomes still cloudy and not as amber as I'd like I like breaking out the nikon to check the trichomes every couple days. The look remarkably similar from seed which is awesome.

i am a straight newbie first summer grow. but this strains are absolutely the most beautiful i have seen the colors are out of this world i lost 2 girls on the road, but i am totally fine with the outcome they stood in a homemade grow house only feed them tap water once in a while, they stood in a storm by accident but is all good fam! when its dry i will take some nice bud pics , thanks Sweet Seeds for this amazing seed 🙏 see you all next summer

February 7, day 55, the light cycle has now been on 12/12 for about a week. I expect pistils to start showing during this week, and at that point I will start counting flowering days as well. The Malasana Cookies continues to have lots of branching and a very dense canopy, so a good portion of the leaves in the center of the plant have been getting removed. February 13, day 61 (1f) pistils have just started to emerge. The Malasana cookies is thick!

Hey Friends, end of Week 10 from seed Colas are looking Very nice Noticed some orange color on some leaf tips so I lowered the amount nutrition when feeding I used a magnifier to have a closer look at the colas, trichomes used to looked like little crystals, now they are bigger and cloudy. So far no amber coloring on trichomes I need some advice as to when I should begin flushing and harvest Smell is slowly getting stronger, like a muffin with a small touch of gas ⛽️ Looking Forward in seeing some bud growth in the following week, will keep you guys posted!

Colas are quite frosty now, though i hoped that they would be more fat by now. I already feed her extra phosphorus and potassium, to help the buds fatten up. Edit: on day 55 I’m beginning to see amber trichomes, so i cleaned out the tank and fed plain ph’ed water with very little nutes. In a couple of days i will give her 2 days in darkness with only water.

Cette semaine a été un peu mouvementée dans mon coin de jardin. Mes feuilles, surtout les petites dernières, ont décidé de prendre une teinte jaunâtre à une vitesse folle, ce qui a immédiatement déclenché ma mode "gardien de plantes" en me demandant si c'était une simple sénescence ou peut-être un petit creux en azote. Finalement, je me suis dit que c'était probablement un mélange des deux. J'ai tenté de jouer au super-héros des nutriments en ajoutant un quart de dose d'azote, histoire de voir ce qui se passait. À ma grande joie, la plante a plutôt bien réagi. Cela m'a donné le courage de doubler la mise, et miracle, aucune overdose à l'horizon ! En dehors de cette petite aventure, ma chère plante continue vaillamment son chemin, en plein dans la phase excitante de maturation des têtes. Ça promet d'être intéressant ! 🌿

Sensi seeds Jack Herer 10 weeks of veg completed 11th Feb 2020 Hopefully this will be the last week of vegetation and this girl starts to flower because I have ran out of room to train her . I managed to get her to cover the entire circumfrence of the pot and then some, using a combination of LST and HST . I also did the last topping about 10 days ago and won't be doing any more. The soil must still be very fertile as the plant itself looks really healthy and lush. Only water was given as I still haven't got around to extracting some worm castings from the worm farm. But it'll happen and when it does this girl will get half a kilos worth which I am sure she will appreciate. Also apart from the odd bite mark on a leaf the plant has remained pretty much insect free as far as pest insects are concerned. I put this down to the Companion Coriander plant that has been coexisting beside my Jack herer girl right from the start . Apparently most bugs dislike coriander and will purposely avoid it which is a win win for both plants.
