Day 88, 30th of October 2020: I am just back from my holiday my friend looked after her really nice the 4th week already and buds are coming nicely along.... Great to see this beautiful lady very stinky by the way.... Smell is strong...🤪 She is very nice.... ;) I removed some leaves getting pointless to be as she focuses more on the buds.... Those leaves were removed from the top mostly.... Now she gets one day extra darkness and but previously she had more dark hours than 12 hours because she was removed in the morning and back in the evening because she is in the tent with other plants and they are in veg now....🤪🤣🤣 I just started changing the schedule for those as well so from tomorrow no need to remove her and putting back.... ;)

Well, this is week five and these lovely ladies are taking off. The only problems I have had (knock on wood) was the autopots valve sticking and flooding occasionally. I think I have them figured out though. Customer service from them is amazing. I will as always update throughout the week. Take care and happy growing. 🙂

What else can I say. The transplanting resolved all of our issues. I was worried about her not making it as it was week 1 in flower. It couldn’t have been a worst time to do this. The new pot didn’t allow me to keep her held down so I had to improvise with some tie downs and duct tape. She is popping new bud sites everyday and she’s really thriving. I won’t go back to that smaller pot with a photoperiod. This strain is a breeze to cultivate. She’s really forgiving and isn’t too picky once she needs what she wants. I bumped up her feeding accordingly as well as gave her some molasses and a nice amendment feeding. Don’t tell my kids, but this closet freak gets more attention from me. 😂😂 J/K Have a good week you crazy cultivars.

Going into week two of flower. All are looking great. However, my clones that I took are not rooting yet. Out of 16 clones, I have one rooted clone. Thankfully it's off of my keeper. I think I let my rockwool cubes get too dried out. I fucked up! I need new sunglasses! Can't get good pictures with the cheap ones that I have now.

Week 8 of flower is in the books and this show is quickly coming to an end. I said last week we had about 7-10 days and I was spot on at the 10 day mark. I was only wrong about the order. The cheese is ready to chop before the rest and the gorilla cookies, cherry Bomb and lemon haze will follow in due course. The cheese is a beast and it’ll take a little time to get it all run through the bowl trimmer. At least the big one goes first. Her tallest colas have foxtailed like mar, despite the late supercrop. You can tell where the sweet spot for the light is at about 10” distance from the canopy. Any closer than that and the tails begin to show prominently. It’s a good example of just how close you can get to these fixtures with a little bit of prior experience. It’s been noted for the next run😎👍😎. The res. is on an h2o2 only flush for the remainder until the rest are ready to come down. Not a moment too soon either - the pollen chucking project has stalled out waiting for these girls to finish and now that we’ll have a little extra room, we can start running our cuts in the aerocloner🤟. Not long at all now folks. Thanks for tagging along through all this. Learned a bunch about this system and we’re back to hardware mode to make some serious improvements for the next run🤙😎. I love hardware mode😉. Background/Repetitive Nonsense The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was 🔥. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...😉. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a go👍. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. Let’s just hope that she’s not a dud like the last bean. The new digs for this run are courtesy MarsHydro👊. Their 2x4 single grow tent, paired with a shiny new 240w QB courtesy ViparSpectra. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or port👍. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobing👍. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an “entry-level” fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixture👍. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru. The tricombe production on this strain is ridiculous! It looks amazing under my microscope. The heads are mostly milky coloured so this may be finishing sooner than expected. The space in the tent is getting a bit tight so I'll be glad to have more room when this lady has done her thing.

Hallo und willkommen in Blütewoche 6 Die Damen machen trotz allen Strapazen ihren Job sichtlich, außer bei der einen Dame, da sieht man das ein Drittel nicht mehr wirklich mitarbeitet bzw. versorgt wird und hat sich somit auch qualifiziert, dass warme zu Hause ggf. eher wie die Zeltpartnerinnen zu Verlassen. In den nächsten Tagen wird definitiv bei der ,,Zicke,, die Teile Pflanze abgenommen, die keine Versorgung mehr genießen und somit dem noch arbeitenden Teil auch die Kraft nimmt. Auch ein Vermännlichen möchten wir Vorbeugen. Wo gehobelt wird, fallen auch spähne ^^ ehrlich gesagt auch nicht so verkehrt, denn falls, gibt es dann neuen Platz :-) Einfach nach staken, sobald Luft ist, grins. Ansonsten zum Gießen, wir gießen zweimal am Tag und jede trinkt etwa gesamt 1,8 Liter innerhalb 24 Stunden. Da die Nährstoffe gut verarbeitet werden, erhalten sie innerhalb 24 Std. zweimal Nährung und anschließend zweimal Wasser. Es ist jetzt die Blütenwoche 6 wo wir auch mit P/K 13-14 ausklingen werden. Gegeben, falls werden wir große Blätter kurz vor der 7ten Blütewoche entfernen, da die Blüteperiode mit 8- 9 Wochen angegeben ist. Temperaturen, im Moment zum Glück hat es sich etwas abgekühlt. Aber letzte bis Mitte dieser Woche war es selbst Nachts kaum auszuhalten. Selbst das Klimagerät kam an seine Grenzen. Wir werden jetzt noch ein paar Tage das kühle Wetter mit 600 Watt nutzen, danach werden wir Zeit und Wattzahl noch einen bisschen Reduzieren (11 Std./ 400 Watt). Die Main Colas haben eine entsprechende Größe für und können dann entspannt Abreifen. Zum Geruch, also Hut ab, es drückt schon sehr intensiv in der Nase. Budstruktur: Sieht schon sehr robust aus, die Farbgebung ist in jetziger Phase wirklich faszinierend. Budaufbau geschieht noch, gleichzeitig reifen die ersten Trichome ab. Thema Trichome: Richtig frostig ist steht die Secret Source da, dennoch mit zunehmend mehr Nährung bilden auch die Green Gelato immer mehr aus. The buds are really sticky and smell super strong. This stuff gives you a head high followed by relaxation. I dried for 14 days at 60 degrees Fahrenheit and 60 % RH.

The plants are growing fast, we forgot to check pH in this week but no problems.

Yo ho ho things are getting a little out of control here. By the end of this week the single plant has grown from the windows to the waaaaallls, measuring 30 inches across and somewhere around 20 inches tall. Humidity is a real problem now with all that transpiration, and because my house is 60-65% RH it is pretty hard to keep the tent humidity below 70% even with ventilation and a dumb thermoelectric peltier dehumidifier. The dehumidifier pulls 160-170ml of moisture out of the air each day but I feel like I might need something bigger (although I'm pressed for space already). VPD ranges from 7.6hPa in the morning and climbs to around 9.5hPa by lights out as the tent warms up. I've seen a lot of people who use the Growmau5 / RapidLed "Far Red Initiator Puck" to help kick their plants into bloom but $37 shipped and it doesn't even have built-in scheduling? I designed my own puck with 4x Cree XPE-2 Far Red (730nm) LEDs, a driver, wifi access and control for scheduling and setting brightness, and while I was at it I added in 0-10V dimming with override dimmer potentiometer, as well as a DHT22 temperature and humidity sensor for logging. I call it the Initgnokt. I am also seeing pairs of fine little hairs coming out at nodes, we definitely got a ladyplant here, hope to get some blooms coming soon?
