Welcome to week 6. Day 36: Took off a few fan leaves today and gave water only. Day 37: Height 28cm Day 39: Fertigated with an extra strong mix, I'm going to up the nutes now until I find her maximal tolerance, she is starving. Day 40: Still starving. I'm keeping her constantly topped up with quite high strength nutes but it's not enough. I think 200ml may have been an overly generous estimation of her root space volume. Day 41: I knew this would be a challenge but it is proving more difficult than I expected. I hope the effort is worth it! At least so far I have learned more about autoflower flowering triggers with this grow. Day 42: in trying to get enough food in to her I have nute shocked. Need to somehow flush and hope for the best. I may have dealt her a fatal blow. Alright so to end up this week I have flushed the ever loving crap out of this lady. I've burned her with too much nutes, I didn't think it was possible but I went really over the top. So I have used a combination of a straw and 2l of PH corrected water and a lot of time and patience to repeatedly saturate and then upend and allow to drip out (with the aid of blowing bubbles in there with the straw). Eventually the run off stopped being dark brown. Then much later it became clear. I do not know if I can save this plant now I have really hurt her she looks in BAAAAD shape. Let us see what happens over the next week. I have adjusted the timer such that the main tent is now getting 20/4 upped from 18/6. After monitoring DLI at 18/6 for a week I am unhappy with the overall level but because of the varying heights of the plants I am limited in what I can do in adjusting the light height. Some areas were only getting 20 DLI. So I have rearranged to have the taller plants on the edges and the lowest in the middle and doing it this way all plants are getting between 35 and 50 DLI at 20/4 - although one or two cola tips here and there are getting 55. Will monitor for a week.

Week 8 of flower is in the books and this show is quickly coming to an end. I said last week we had about 7-10 days and I was spot on at the 10 day mark. I was only wrong about the order. The cheese is ready to chop before the rest and the gorilla cookies, cherry Bomb and lemon haze will follow in due course. The cheese is a beast and it’ll take a little time to get it all run through the bowl trimmer. At least the big one goes first. Her tallest colas have foxtailed like mar, despite the late supercrop. You can tell where the sweet spot for the light is at about 10” distance from the canopy. Any closer than that and the tails begin to show prominently. It’s a good example of just how close you can get to these fixtures with a little bit of prior experience. It’s been noted for the next run😎👍😎. The res. is on an h2o2 only flush for the remainder until the rest are ready to come down. Not a moment too soon either - the pollen chucking project has stalled out waiting for these girls to finish and now that we’ll have a little extra room, we can start running our cuts in the aerocloner🤟. Not long at all now folks. Thanks for tagging along through all this. Learned a bunch about this system and we’re back to hardware mode to make some serious improvements for the next run🤙😎. I love hardware mode😉. Background/Repetitive Nonsense The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was 🔥. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...😉. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a go👍. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. Let’s just hope that she’s not a dud like the last bean. The new digs for this run are courtesy MarsHydro👊. Their 2x4 single grow tent, paired with a shiny new 240w QB courtesy ViparSpectra. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or port👍. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobing👍. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an “entry-level” fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixture👍. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru. 🌿 Grow Diary Update: Week 5 Check-In 🌿 Hey growers, Can you believe it's Week 5 already? Time's flying, and so is our girl – she's a beast now! I've been itching to defoliate more, but I've maxed out the amount of defol i can do and i have now stopped completely to avoid stressing her out too much :/ Overall, she's looking happy, but I noticed some leaves getting darker than I'd like, so I dialed down the nitrogen a bit... Remember my PPMS struggle? Well, good news – got them down to 1200ppm but could not get it any lower.. i could lower the ppm/ec of intake even more to hopefully drop it but in this stage of flower feeding lower than 800ppms is too low unless you need to flush to reset the medium so i am just gonna keep sticking to the 800ppm feed for now and measure run off each time hopefully i can get it around 900-1000, yes these high ppm/ec levels are fine for cannabis but mostly when your using co2 thats like 700ppm+ but at the end of the day SHE LOOKS GREAT! Setted up this cutting of Skywalker. Having some initial problems with air and humidity. Hopefully is going to rain soon so humidity will rise a bit. Planning to do some LST and ScrOG. Nutrients: Kept the feeding aggressive with a double dose of vegetative nutrition (x2 Nutrient formula) to ensure the root zones and plant tissues are fully stocked with elements before the transition. Canopy Observation:the canopy is thick, uniform, and fully occupying the table space. The trellis net is officially filled out, and the lower branches are strong and rigid. 📅 June 6, 2026 (Day 1 of Flower / Bloom Week 1) The Flip: Officially switched the timers to a 12/12 photoperiod (Lights ON at 6:00 PM / Lights OFF at 6:00 AM). Schedule: First irrigation shot triggers exactly 1 hour after lights on (7:00 PM), followed by a shot every 1.5 hours. Volume: Configured the drip stakes to run for 1 minute per shot, delivering 5 shots total per day. This provides roughly 450ml per plant per day, creating excellent target dry-backs overnight to force vigorous root searching. 📅 June 11, 2026 (Day 6 of Flower / Bloom Week 1) Irrigation/Reservoir: Bumped reservoir capacity up to 110–120L to keep up with increased transpiration as the plants begin their post-flip stretch. Nutrient Recipe (TargetingpH 6.0 EC 2.5 Water: 110–120L Athena Cleanse: 120ml Silica: 220ml (Essential for stem strength during the stretch) CalMag: 10ml Athena Bloom: 600ml (Adjusting base to target 1.2–1.3 EC from Bloom component) Athena Core: 400ml Irrigation Adjustments: Increased the shot duration slightly to 1 minute and 15 seconds to match the accelerating growth pace. The early flowering stretch has officially begun. The tops are noticeably pushing past the trellis net layers, and the node spacing remains tight and stacked. Leaf color is an excellent dark green with healthy, bright yellow-green shoots driving upward at the growth tips. No signs of stress or stalling from the schedule shift.

Hello, I hope you're all doing well. I'll consider this week a complete failure. When I repotted my plants, I added mulch, but it was only 3 cm thick. As a result, my plants were miserable for four days because it was too thick. The soil was cold and remained very damp due to watering during repotting. It smothered the fallen leaves, some of which even turned yellow. It seemed like a magnesium and calcium deficiency and an unbalanced pH. I re-evaluated my approach and, most importantly, added a light layer of mulch. They've recovered well. It just goes to show that a small mistake can teach you something new every day. This week, I added: 2 g of Epsom salt: This powerful mineral is pure magnesium sulfate, one of the main components of chlorophyll produced by plants. It's a chelating agent: it allows the solubility of other substances (such as molasses, humic and fulvic acids, neem oil, and spirulina) and acts as a heavy metal sequestrant. 5 g of Micronized Wild Horsetail Spray: silica, defense 5 g Fish Hydrolysate: amino acids, proteins ppm 600 pH 6.5 Wishing you all a successful cannabis grow! **************************************************** Bonjour, J'espère que vous allez tous bien.
