Last defoliation before serious bloom phase. Started adding Bloom nutes. Trichomes forming heavily on sugar leaves. As a note, the day/night temps are incorrect throughout the entire journal. Regardless of the temp that's input into the journal template, the journal displays "50 F". Has anyone else experienced this issue? (Temps have been mid 70 to low 80's throughout most of Veg and Flower so far.)

Started bending branches LST creating more tops recieving light creating a bigger yeild at harvest.did not need any topping due to all the main branches a flowerproduces when put back in vegetive state.

Tuve problemas con la temperatura que estuvo alta 28/26 grados y humedad dentro de los rangos correctos, la única queja es la temperatura por empezar pronto, 16 horas luz, 8 oscuridad, estiraron un poco, pero van lentas por el momento, que cojan fuerza. El trasplante a sido realizado a la maceta definitiva, 7L con sustrato Top crop. Hasta aquí todo, Buenos humos 💨💨💨

Start of week 8. Week 7 went very well for the Do-si-dos, she also filled in her buds, very dense and lovely smell! She's got crazy trichomes and is almost as sticky as the Glueberry OG.

📆 Week 13, 4-10 January 2024 4 January - Turned light time back 2hrs to a schedule of 14/10, and lowered light power to 50%. This will facilitate ripening by mimicking an autumn environment. 7 January - Flushed system, filled with RO water and 10ml p/gal HG FloraKleen, PH 6.2. 10 January - Turned lights off. 📑 This was the final week of flowering. It will be followed now by 3 days in darkness, giving a total of 7 days in plain RO water. This provides the proper nutrient flush and a small cannibinoid/terpene boost just prior to harvest. Which will be 13 January. She will then be followed by a 7-14 day curing process, where she’ll hang for 5-7 days until the chlorophyll has dried in the leaves, then trimmed, weighed, put into mason quart jars and burped until a RH of 62% is reached/maintained. While in this state the flower will reach its peak potency/flavor in about 30-40 days, and can last for 6-12 months. An overall interesting grow. Especially if you like the color purple. She grew rather rapidly for about 6 weeks as expected from an autoflower, then slowed down and flowered simultaniously. Buds are on the smaller side but tight. There certainly was no problem in resin development as she is quite frosty, sticky and smelly. The trichomes have purple and clear stems with milky heads, about 5-10% amber and 10%(+) clear. All white pistils have turned orange or brown. Genetics are very stable with no signs of foxtailing or hermaphroditism. The only problem I’ve had was with nutrient sensitivity in flower phase - specifically week 8. It will depend on the end product quality as to whether I will grow this strain again or not. My final update will run a few days later than usual, but will include the Harvest and Smoq review information. This round i have problems with my plants in both tents... I would say same problems. If someone read this :) do you have any ideas here?

This week I did a lot of work on opening all possible areas of the bud sites. I picked up the rubber bud tie downs and went to work and did some defoliation on her lash removing only bud sites that are being covered. The temps been holding strong live in a cold climate very tuff before keeping warm at night. Day time temp has been 73-78F humidity at day 43-55% VPN 1.64kpa.

30.05. - 05.06. (DD.MM.) Because the seeds were eaten by fungus gnat larvae in the first two attempts, in which I placed the seeds in a large pot immediately after germination, I first grew the seeds in a smaller pot (approx. 10 cm in diameter) for this third attempt. Because of the fungus gnat larvae, i poured boiling water over my soil before planting and then covered it with aluminum foil until it was cold. That way I was able to kill all the larvae. I put the plant in my self-made growbox (50 x 50 x 120cm) after about 5 days. The plant was under a planting bell and was watered with 10ml of water on the 7th day after planting.

Beginning of week 7 in flower, only two more weeks left if they ripen like they did last time. Plants are beginning to smell, develop triches and fattening up. They're not going to get any taller but compared to my first grow they're double in size. It's getting really intense. I'm in there every day checking humidity (on the no defol side) and I'm starting to struggle keeping up with the feed. During lights off I've found the plants eat the most food. I topped up the res, added 25% more PK. I try to keep the plants at 700 ppm and in the space of four hours it dropped to 600 ppm (towards the end of lights off). I stopped directly loading with Calcium Nitrate and instead used a regular calmag. I'm about to go overboard with Calcium Nitrate again and bump the ppm up to 1k. Will see how far the ppm drops the next day. 17/02/20 Update: The plants are beginning to smell a lot more, it has that kind of fermenting pungent smell from a red paw paw but applied to a mango. Very sweet, it literally smells like I'm growing some kind of tropical fruit. Still struggling with the feed, I added close to 40g of calcium nitrate and the plants still dropped the ppm lower than when I boosted it. I find it really frustrating that Dual Fuel only sell as a pair. Part 2 is amazing for late flower. Potassium sulphate and Magnesium sulphate, it's the perfect PK boost and I don't know anyone other nutrient like it. The other PK boosters always have too much P. 18/02/20 Update: Still battling my plants and the efforts to keep up with them is still frustrating me. Ran out of potassium Sulphate and bought Bio Diesel Rhino K 0-0-15 as a substitute, talk about expensive but I was desperate. 19/02/20 Update: Uploaded how I pump calcium into my plants this late into flower. They eat more than what I showed daily. That's 100+ ppm of Ca everyday! I don't know how much pectin this plant has now but the Brix would have to be through the roof compared to my first grow. 20/02/20 Update: finally got the feed right for a twelve hour period. I'm using two times the amount of K any bloom booster recommends and I'm probably using ten times the amount of calcium easily. I'm also going to feed as minimal N from now on, I'd cut it out completely if I could but I rely on Micros for the macro nutrients. Spent $65 on that bottle of potash and I used a third of a bottle for one nutrient change, think I'll stick to using powered water soluble potassium sulfate. My main concern is that I won't be providing enough iron with the little Micro I'm giving it. Going to throw a couple of rustry nails into the res. I'm about to do a top up...dropping the Micro super low, putting minimal part 2 in. Along with all the fulvics, humics, kelp and other acids my ppm only sits at 244. Which gives me plenty of room to load up on calcium. Top up the mag cause what was in the part 2 wasn't enough then load K. 21/02/20 Update: The plants finally stalled and took a breather yesterday. Didn't upload any photos cause it looked the same as the day before. By the end of the evening it looked like the explosive growth started back up again and the photos from today will show it. The ppm was creeping up not down this time...finally over feeding them. Dropped the extra loading of calcium and potassium to regular bloom phase levels and bumped the chelators up instead. Update 22/02/20: plants aren't eating what they were. Ppm is remaining stable at 800. I won't dilute the res just yet. Still holding off to see if it goes up again. If it goes down I'll refeed the same formula as last time that has reduced calcium and potassium.

The Apple Betty babies are doing great 😊 I’m very pleased with the results so far, I just wished I would have known they would have such a large stretch, they D almost doubled in size in 14 days. At day 8 I stopped tucking the branches and allowed them to grow up. In hindsight, I probably should have kept going for another couple of days. They continued to stretch rapidly all the way up to date 12 or so, much more than my other strain that I have going as well. At day 10 I cleaned up some of the small bud sites and leaves that were below the 1st trellis. These sites do not get enough light to make anything good, and take away energy from the main tops as they grow and compete. A quick snip here and there will really help the end result. At day 13 I decided to add a second trellis net to provide support to the tops that came up so fast. They seem to have stopped their main stretch faze, and are looking happy and healthy now. I’ve continued my water, water, feed schedule and have not seen any cause for concern. The girls are taking a little over a gallon of water every 72 hours at this point. Humidity is being controlled automatically with my in-line fan and humidifier. RH is set to 57% and temps hover between 77-80 degrees with lights on, and about 70-72 with light off thanks to my furnace being back on for the cooler temps. The 2x4 5 gallon girl is doing great as well. 😊During the stretch, she flourished just as the girls in my big tent did as well. She is going to have some great bud, the branch structure is nicely developed with tight node spacing and large tops. I’ve been plucking off all the lower growth, and tucking leaves as they block bud sites. I will be doing a defoliation next week. Happy Gardening 🇨🇦👊❤️
