Week 4 really exploded growth !! I tried some lst and nutrients from hydroponic general flora series. I suspected some burn though because I seen a few yellow tips. I did a flush and hopefully see change. Thanks for viewing share some tips and suggestions Budz!

Harvest took about 3 hours! The buds are big, firm and covered in gluey trichomes! harvest of the highest class!

Growth is just going amazing. Both phenos are doing just astounding. I'm overall delighted with these genetics. Days 35-37 Growth is going amazing as you can see. When preflower stops. I'll move it under a 300w light from mars-hydro. Hopefully within the next 2 weeks. I have moved over to giving bloom now. She is showing light mag issue so I added Xpert Nutrients Calmag and have been feeding the 20L pot without it fully drying up. I love soil growing. Day 38-39 She's pushing on at an alarming rate. I did not plan for it to be these big. They're going to get 50-100% bigger. So, it's not necessarily their size now. But in 3 weeks. I need to start using IR in my flower tent to push my fems into high gear. Adding 2hrs of extra light should easily cut days to a week depending where they are. Got to also becareful as if I add IR to anything in preflower it'll stretch like crazy. So, im at least 5 days or so before my flower tent will have no preflowering plants just all girls into heavy flower. This plant will STAY away from any IR 730nm for at least another 2-3 weeks. So, she'll do all her preflower under the p1000, which will be an issue in itself. Day 40-42 Took her down to separate her as they're far to close, to big and too many shoots not to do anything will only set the mid-lower parts back weeks during the flower process. I did do some very very light lollipopping at the very ends. The shoots were the smallest. And removed their fans obviously. That's the only defol I've done more or less over this ENTIRE grow. Which is very rare for me not to remove some leaves. With autos, you really shouldn't. Some can take it & still do well. But left alone. And good lighting/airflow throughout the plants. Has really made a huge difference. I separated them as best I could with as minimal stress as possible. It'll take a few hours to look all pretty again when she settles. She'll look really good. No HST/Defols done in any major way. Left it all. And just let them do their thing. Working with it, the smell is LOVELY like a black berry smell. Is absolutely lovely scent she's giving off. But, she is a good candidate for stealth growing. Only when she's worked on does she pong. And you have to be close to smell it. Day 42 and she's doing AMAZING. Really happy to see both phenos looking beautiful & separated really well. Hoping she'll push through pre flower in the next 10-12 days. Tuesday Ok so the plants are doing really well. One of the kalini Asia plants is in the only regular pot I’m using now. It’s a little larger than the AutoPot XL’s so therefore the plant is slightly bigger but spread out because I topped it a while ago and today I took all the bottom leaves as well as quite a few of the lower lateral branches that well small and weak. Hopefully this will encourage the energy to where it want it - The main growth tips! I think it was the other kalini Asia that is in the AutoPot XL that I ended up ‘super cropping’? Do correct me if I used the wrong term. The main growth stems were quite a lot higher than the large lateral branches so I squeezed the stem with my finger and flopped the main colas over then taped them and tied them to support them. The canopy is MUCH more even across all plants now. They look a bit bent over at the moment but I bet when I look tomorrow they are all facing the light again. Magic! They are def in the stretch phase now. They are growing like crazy. I’m really glad I did the nasty job of pulling each plant out and tying it down and cutting off the shit that won’t grow anything good. Oh I also gave them a watering from the top using lots of microbes (ecothrive biosys) and molasses dissolved into warm water. The res was basically empty and honestly the AutoPot XL’s don’t even look wet at all on top even though they are getting all the water they need. They don’t react negatively when I occasionally water goodies in from the top so it’s all good!!

Well as you can see the double stuffed sorbet has grown wildly long while all the others seem to have stayed short. I have taken two clones of the white runtz to test how long the roots will take to pop out. Edit I have started to do a little lst to the bigger plants and removing the big leafs.

Day 71 - Starting week 11 and now that I put my Cherry Cookies into 72 hours of darkness, she’s got a ton of room in the tent now. I gave her 2 gallons of water and nutes today and she’s finally starting to develop some trichs. A very small amount right now but they’re finally starting to show a little. Day 72 - Nothing really new going on today. She seems to like having a bit more room in the tent now. She’s doing good on water and should be for another couple of days. I just removed a few lower dead leaves today and tucked everything back down. Day 73 - Nothing really new today, just letting her fatten up and finally starting to get a little bit of frost on her. Gonna need to give her some water and nutes tomorrow. Day 75 - Went just a bit too long before giving her water. Pulled her out today and extremely droopy but gave her a good 2 gallons of water and nutes to hopefully perk her back up. Had a few more dead leaves at the bottom so removed them and I’ll check on her in a few hours to see if she’s perked up at all. Day 76 - Overall she’s looking good and looks like she’s getting a pinkish color forming. It’s also looking like she might have a Cal-Mag deficiency going on so will up the Cal-Mag the next feeding to hopefully help her out. Day 77 - The end of week 11 and she going along nicely still. She’s going to need some water and nutes tomorrow so I’m going to up the Cal-Mag this feeding. Instead of 5ML per gallon, I’m going to up it to 10ML and hopefully that will help her pull through her deficiency she’s got going right now.

Transplanted into larger containers with fresh soil. The soil is a blend of Peat Moss one Perlite. I then mixed some older soil with the new Peat/Perlite blend. After the transplant I watered with Recharge to help get some healthy microbes starting to develop in the soil. Since she was stretched out a little I tried burying her a little deep during the transplant. I'm hoping to see some nice improvements over the next few weeks. Stay tuned...

How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. It has been our experience that outdoor (or sun grown, as it's recently being referred to) cultivars seem to perform extremely well under artificial conditions. This is true of seed starts or clones made from seed starts. The opposite is not always true; indoor clones often give an outdoor grower headaches because they don't always make the transition smoothly. This is due to light spectrum, temperature, and/or photoperiod changes. The exact heritage of any cultivar today is impossible to determine accurately. Also, considering the amount of continuous shameless hybridization that has occurred in the last 40 yrs., any modern kind could easily contain over 40 kinds. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. Appetite suppression is a side effect, but the enjoyment of food is enhanced. I personally will attest to all of the above. We all have different receptor profiles, so these are just generalizations. This includes 0botritis, PM, various mites and insects, soil fungus, etc. We haven't heard any complaints along those lines so far, so if anyone has any problems, especially with a rigorous IPM regimen in place, we would like to hear about it. And if anyone can attest to the extreme level of resistance it seems to have we'd love to hear about that as well. Q. Does it contain web-leaf genetics? A. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A.
