Tag 73: Die Trichome der Epsilon F1 Automatic von Royal Queen Seeds wurden größtenteils Trübe. Die Blüten sind sehr fest und die meisten Blütenfäden sind braun. Die Ernte erfolgt dieses mal strikt nach dem Mondkalender. Bis dahin ist sie wunderschön anzuschauen. Ich wünsche euch viel Freude mit eueren Pflanzen. 😀

Once again these girls don’t really need much just watering when dry but other than that we are on cruise mode. I have been checking trichomes for about a week now and man is she almost there I should be giving them lights out with in another week or two can’t wait

Good morning growers .. The third week of vegetative has begun. I add for a day to week the nutrient 'vita race' of Plagron. I applied the LST and topping technique for taller plants and FIM technique for shorter plants. I cut the branches at the bottom because when they go into the flowering phase, those branches will produce small flowers. Sorry for my English 🙄 Stay tuned 🦍💪🏻

This plant did not need a lot of defoliation if any at all. I just trimmed some of the lower nodes off as they would not get all that much light once it started to stretch and tied back some of its branches so it was a bit more even. The growth pattern on this plant vs the others in the tent this aorund is completely different. its so floppy and bendy, I have a feeling I am going to need to break a lot of branches come flower time to keep it from sky rocketing to the top of the tent. This will be the last week they are in Veg and switching to flower cycle next week with a 12/12 photoperiod. I was going to try a 13/11 but I wanted to test out the automatic light functions on the Medic Grows Minisun-2, So this will be relieved next week. Been having issues with PH in the medium again and some nutrient uptake. I am thinking I will switch to another brand I have to use up, trip tonic from my last grow on the balcony. Its a bit more complex and not as easy as mix into water and feed but I think its going to help me solve a lot of the issues I am getting. Given this update is a few days late some of these pics are not from today. the clones in the photos above are from the beginning of the week when I potted them up. They have not done well at all and may not make it. can only hope for the next few weeks they pull through. The plant is ok, we are near the harvest. Because she is the smallest , she drinks less than the others plants I have. Also I've done some research for my problem, and I'm gonna wash the buds. I have read a lot of opinions and all the people that at first were sceptical, say that now they doing it all the time, so I'm gonna try it! If the flavour and the overall experience is good, I'll do it also on my gorilla. And what's your opinion on "bud washing"? Let me know in the comments! Here the weather is gonna be bad for the next days so I'm a lil worried because I'm so near the harvest and I'don't want to fck up things now. The humidity is gonna reach 90% so for the next 2 days I will take them inside. Sorry for the bad quality, next time I'll try to use a better camera

The first week that I took pictures. The seeds all popped within 24 hours of paper towel germination, after 24 hours in h2O2 and water. Transferred to super soil mix and rockwool respectively.

WEEK 4: The plants are now in the third week of the growth phase. I topped all three plants on the main stem and cut off the 4 largest top leaves so that the side shoots have more light available. Plant #1 is clearly the smallest and is not as developed as the other two. Since I only want to take two plants into the flowering phase, I tend to sort them out. Plant #2 looks the most vital and has already developed a noticeable smell. Plant #3 still has a strange leaf shape, although I have the impression that this has improved slightly The plants in 6L pots and added 5% FLO (Living Soil Fertilizer). I let the soil develop for 14 days beforehand. Clear mycelia have formed and the soil has a very pleasant forest floor smell. - Light Power: 40% - Soil: BioBizz Light Mix + 5% FLO (Living Soil Fertilizer) - Additives: Dynomyco mycorrhiza granules

day 15 (december 19) start of week 3 roots everywhere plant starts to take of now, the hydro is slightly bigger then the soil plant day 17: the hydro plant made a new set of leaves in just 2 days! day 19: i cut off the lowest leaves of both plants. i do this because on any autoflower these leaves produce a stem that wastes a lot of energy on small nugs. day 20: hydro plant got topped (3nodes) day 21: soil plant got topped (3nodes) same strategy with the topping, i do this early (i could pinch them off with my fingers) to reduce the time to recover. the plants bounce back like they didnt feel it and with the lowest leaf and small tiny stems cut off, these plants will produce 6 main stems with nice big and dense buds instead of a huge christmass tree with more leaves than bud.

Hey growmies, another week and here we are. The flower structure as you can see in the pictures is crazy in this strain. Long colas l, filles with flowers. If this led fixture I'm using for the first time performs, im about to have baseball bats of weed. I'm hopping it knows there name is not only banana, but FAT too. The smells are sweet and fruity. The ec are at 0.95. 0.25 of the water plus 0.7. See you guys next week

Harvest went well. Chopped them down. Hanging now with a gentle fan. Chopped a few lower branches to dry and smoke while waiting. Havent weighed anything yet. Will add weights to this week soon. A total of 14.3 oz.

Background Fingers crossed that these Spicy Bitch regs provide at least one male so that we can back build some stock of it. In the event that does take place we’ve got a single clone of each strain from the previous pollen chuck to sit in the tent with them so they can make babies for the next few months. The whole point of the last year was to start making some foundational genetics for a third generational cross we could call our own. If you’ve been following along than you’ll know that it’s been anything but easy. Our previous pollen picks didn’t pan out at all so we’re back to the drawing board with a new option from ExoticSeeds. This’ll be a 10 plant run with 5 regs and 6 strains for pollination including the strain itself. We’re running in a 2x4 MarsHydro grow tent all powered by a Mars Sp6500. That’s a little more than 600w packed into half the recommended footprint😳. Why? you ask - because we like our buds big and overcompensatory😂. Really, I’m just of the mind that we can pack more light into this space than recommended and get much better results. The math doesn’t lie. At least not as long as I wasn’t high when using the calculator again….. Many thanks to @MarsHydroLED for the opportunity to test run the equipment👊. In addition, we’ve also moved to a new nutrient system - Druid Nutrients out of the Netherlands. They don’t really have a presence on GD yet but you’ll be hearing about them very soon I’m sure. The beauty of this system is that it’s literally a 1 (one) component system for the entirety of the plants grow cycle. It really has changed the game in terms of ease of feeding and maintenance. It’s also very versatile and seems to provide everything needed across multiple different strains in the same ratios. Keep your eyes peeled for these folks. Pretty much a guarantee that they absolutely blow up once more people know about them👍👌😎. Strain Background Spicy Bitch: predominantly sativa, heavy yielder with a daytime kinda trip profile. It’s a cross of Queen Mother and a Pre-2000 AK47. We’ll pull what pollen we can and hope to have a female run out a larger supply of seed for the future. Many thanks to @Exoticseeds for the chance to give these beans a go👍👊. Pollination Strains: Holy Surfer S1 - this is one of the focal points for this cycle. A fellow growmie was kind enough to ship over some S1 genetics I took an interest in. The only ask back was that if I did cross it to send a few his way for testing👍. Shoutout and cheers to @blendmedmedman. Hoping to have something back to ya in short order. It’s a compact and squat plant requiring very little maintenance. Typical for the strain really. It’s been chosen as an option to potentially mellow out the high , shorten the stature of the resulting hybrid and inject it with some of that mellow indica effect. Boogie Nights - total shot in the dark. Still haven’t even tried the strain myself yet but it was available at the right time and interesting enough to make a salad with. Big thanks to AMS who’ve been nothing short of an excellent seedbank to collaborate with. Expect similar growth characteristics to that of the Northern Lights. Better resilience however. Blueberry - this particular clone is from extremely strong stock. Spliff seeds broke the mold with this strain. She’s lower maintenance than the NL, more resilient than anything else we’ve got on the menu and the terp. Profile on this girl is out of this world. If we can bring any of these qualities to the cross, then it could be magic👌. White Widow - garrghh, I just can’t get away from this particular plant. Again, still haven’t even tested the buds yet and all I can say is that the growth characteristics are extremely vigorous and desirable. This plant is one of 3 unicorns that I have yet to tame due to a combo of extremely bad luck and circumstance. All told, it’s still the same story: a VERY experimental breeding project designed to shotgun a broad swath of genetics against a reliable and dependable Breeder who’s put out proven fire 🔥🤟😎👍.
