The start of the week is going well.Did some defoliation. Added a scrog net. I removed the scrog the next day, might use it if the buds need support. There’s no way to add the rabbit poo to the nutrients accurately all I did was top dress the soil with a few scoops and worked it in the soil lightly. Water with distilled water.

🌱 8×8 Adventure | Folder 09 Candy Rain – Plant A | Week 4 The Little Survivor Every grow tells a different story, and sometimes the most memorable stories begin with unexpected setbacks. Welcome back to the 8×8 Adventure, a project dedicated to exploring multiple genetics grown 12/12 From Seed inside the same flowering environment. The goal is simple: document every phenotype individually, compare their development under identical conditions, and learn something new from every plant along the way. Folder 09 follows our Candy Rain. Unfortunately, she is the only survivor from this batch. The other seeds didn’t make it, and that’s entirely on us. Growing is a journey of constant learning, and sometimes the greatest lessons come from the mistakes we make. Rather than seeing it as a failure, we’ve chosen to give this little lady all of our attention and let her show us exactly what she’s capable of. Every plant deserves the opportunity to tell its own story. ⸻ 🌿 The 8×8 Adventure This entire project is being grown inside our dedicated 8×8 flowering tent, where every cultivar begins life immediately under a 12 hours ON / 12 hours OFF light schedule. There is no long vegetative period. Instead, every plant develops naturally from seed while already living under flowering conditions, creating unique structures, shorter internodal spacing and allowing us to compare how different genetics react to exactly the same environment. Although every plant shares the same room, nutrients and lighting, each phenotype expresses itself differently. That’s exactly why each folder documents a single plant from start to finish. Candy Rain is proving that point perfectly. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment Despite summer temperatures continuing to challenge the room, the environment has remained remarkably stable. Week 4 Conditions • Light Schedule: 12/12 • Day Temperature: 33°C • Night Temperature: 25°C • Relative Humidity: 63% • pH: 6.1 • EC: 1.35 mS/cm • CO₂: 639 ppm • Pot Size: 15 L Even with daytime temperatures reaching 33°C, the plants continue responding well thanks to stable humidity, strong air circulation and careful environmental management. Consistency is often far more important than chasing perfect numbers. ⸻ 💧 Feeding Programme Candy Rain receives the same balanced Plagron feeding programme as the rest of the room. Current solution per litre: • Terra Grow — 1.8 ml/L • Power Roots — 1 ml/L • Pure Zym — 1 ml/L • Sugar Royal — 1 ml/L The solution is adjusted to pH 6.1, maintaining nutrient availability while supporting healthy root development throughout this early stage. Because this plant is hand-watered, every irrigation becomes another opportunity to inspect the substrate, monitor water consumption and observe her development closely. ⸻ 🌱 Development From the very beginning it became clear that this Candy Rain is developing differently from many of the other plants in the room. She remains significantly smaller, with a naturally compact structure and shorter internodal spacing. While several of her neighbours have already begun stretching into flower, this phenotype seems to prefer building slowly, producing tight growth and a sturdy main stem before committing to vertical expansion. Sometimes 12/12 From Seed reveals exactly these kinds of differences. Certain cultivars explode almost immediately, while others seem to take their time adapting before accelerating later in flower. At this point there is nothing suggesting poor health. Quite the opposite. Her new growth is vibrant, symmetrical and full of life. Every node develops cleanly, her stem continues to strengthen and the fresh growth emerging from the centre has a beautiful healthy colour. She’s simply telling her own story at her own pace. ⸻ 🍃 A Small Setback One detail worth mentioning this week is the damage visible on a few of the older fan leaves. After careful observation, the injury doesn’t resemble a nutritional problem. The new growth remains completely unaffected and the damaged areas are isolated to only a handful of older leaves. The most likely explanation is mechanical wind damage. With strong airflow inside the flowering room, larger fan leaves can occasionally fold onto themselves or vibrate continuously in the same position. Over time this creates dry, burnt-looking patches that may resemble nutrient issues but are actually simple physical damage. Because the affected leaves aren’t getting worse and the new growth remains perfect, no corrective feeding changes were necessary. Sometimes the best decision is simply to observe instead of reacting. ⸻ 🍃 Gentle Training Training remains intentionally minimal. Rather than removing healthy foliage, we continue relying on leaf tucking to expose developing shoots to the available light. By carefully moving larger fan leaves beneath the canopy, lower branches receive more light without reducing the plant’s photosynthetic capacity. This gentle approach allows the plant to continue building energy while maintaining as much healthy foliage as possible during these early stages. Patience often produces better results than unnecessary intervention. ⸻ 🌱 Looking Forward Although Candy Rain currently appears to be one of the smallest plants inside the 8×8 tent, that certainly doesn’t mean she’ll stay that way. Some phenotypes invest heavily in root development before accelerating above the soil. Others naturally remain compact throughout their entire life while producing exceptionally dense flowers. That’s exactly why projects like this are so enjoyable. Every phenotype becomes its own little experiment. Whatever path this Candy Rain decides to follow, she’ll receive exactly the same care, patience and attention as every other plant in the room. Because every seed deserves the opportunity to reach its full potential. ⸻ 💚 Final Thoughts Growing has a funny way of keeping us humble. Sometimes everything goes according to plan. Sometimes we lose seeds. Sometimes one little survivor becomes the most interesting plant in the room. That’s exactly why we document every stage honestly—the successes, the mistakes and everything in between. Grape God is almost done I could chop not but I am going to push it another 7-10 days. My haze beast will have a few weeks still. I started 2 other plants in Autopots for my first run with them. I m running a Roc Bud ICC tester and a Berserker MOG x Grape Pez

Week 2, all 7 repotted in 4.5L and 7.5L pots.... all lights wired up properly...... holding perfectly with 24oC, 40% humidity... relying on the soil nutes, and just tap water...... the PH of the tap water is abit high- 6-7... so i'll try to get some rainwater, or 10L box of spring water....

Day 22: Well we made it to the beginning of week 4! Who would of thunk! So we are starting week 4 on a good foot. No issues at this time and growing really well. Still such a squat plant. The nodes spacing is only like a half inch apart. WTH 🤷‍♂️🏻 Other than that the PH in my reservoir is dropping, usually it rises a bit everyday. I will have to remedy that before my midday feeding. I mean it was at 5.85-5.9PH so not out of whack but I was hoping for a drift of 5.9-61ish before I had to do a top off or change of the solution. Did some more light LST and leaf tucking last night before bed and will probably have to do more this afternoon. Day 23: River and Clara are growing really fast now. However I did notice the darkening of some of the new growth tips and a potential N burn. I believe this to be from a faulty PH tester I bought from nutetools dot com. Junk! So back to my old cheap meter. I will have to empty and clean out my reservoir today and make some more sauce for my plants so that I know it is PH’d correctly. What a pain in the ass. I am going to have a chat with them this afternoon for perhaps a replacement. Other than that onward and upward. Day 24: Not a whole lot to say today. Filled the reservoir yesterday. Sat and tried to figure out how to LST these super squat plants. I am thinking a couple haircuts are in order today. I think this will be beneficial to the little bud site that are partiallly blocked, but also for me to see what the structure looks like to get a better idea what I am working with 🤪 I am also thinking of upping my watering schedule to 4 times a day during lights on. I feel they are starting to drink a lot more and are probably just about to go into flowering mode. Day 24 Update: So I took the plunge and did some major defoliation and retied up all the LST work I did previously. They look so pissed off at me now… lmao. 🤬 You can see the before pics in my previous post from this morning. Also posting pics of how tiny my node spacing is.. Day 25 06/25/2021 - Today should be pretty hands off. Just letting them do their thing after the harsh treatment they got from me yesterday. (Defoliation and LST). I’m assuming they will need a couple days to recover, but, I will say they do look a bit less pissed off today than yesterday. Still no signs of sex. the tops are a nice bright green and the leaves are starting to deform like it really wants to flower. Hopefully, I didn’t screw it up by defoliating. The wait for flower continues. Day 26: These plants have bounced back awesomely after my heavy handed defoliation and LST. Putting on an inch a day and growing faster by the minute. They must have loved my nutrient ratio last feeding. I am going to do the same mix again today to refill the reservoir. Speaking of reservoir and watering… I think I am watering a bit munch per feeding as I am going through 5-6 gallons every 2-3 days for two plants. So I think today I am going to finally go to a 4 feed per day schedule and drop the time from 1min 10secs to 50secs or so. They should realistically only be getting a gallon a day a piece and still get good runoff to avoid any salt buildup. Have a 4inch and 6inch stretch a scrog nets ordered as well. Other than all that I think this first grow is going great so far! Day 27: Another day of mostly hands off and just watching the stretch. If my scrog nets come today I will hang the first one and that is about it today. Last night however, I did find a few pistils on Clara the smaller of the two and the no longer late bloomer. I also got my new Milwaukee MW804 4in1 ph/ec/tds/temp pen. Excited to have a reliable testing tool. One more grow day in the books! Cheers! Day 28: Well last day of week four. I was really hoping it would have started flowering by now, but we will hope for week 5. I got my scrog nets late yesterday afternoon and I put the first 4” net up. As you can probably see by the pics I really have no clue what I am doing. Also these plants are so so squat and compact I almost wish I had a 2” net. But, I think they are in stretch mode so we will see how that might effect my ability to a rig these a bit better. My plans for today are to do a quick clean and rinse of the reservoir and refill with a new batch of mutes I mixed up in the middle of the night last night. Then just let them grow I suppose. Not much else for me to do. 🤷‍♂️🏻Now on to week 5 tomorrow and continue to have a good grow. Cheers! 🥃

Very easy to grow. The plant is not really big, but it is still good. It is very sturdy and holds out a lot and the finished weed is wirklick top. So grab some seeds and build the shit. Stay high Weedmaster, Ganjaman

Sticky Rice is still a little on the small side, but it has this awesome glossy shine to its leaves. I think it has the potential to really take off. Maybe it'll even live up to its name and produce some super sticky buds. We'll see! Last week was awesome! I finally got around to giving all my plants a little upgrade – I repotted them into some bigger homes. They're all looking so happy and healthy now, it's crazy. I can't wait to see how much they grow this year!

What up family, apologies for the late update. After being gone for a week and coming back to see these amazing girls they leave me shocked how much they've swelled in that time. The smell on these are wild, absolutely like a fresh can of 7-up popped open. Happy Growing

Beautiful pair of haze berries, both phenos #1 and #2 showing strong healthy roots and big leafs, can't wait to flower this ladies out, I Transplanted the plants after 17 days of being planted on February 2nd because the roots were super well developed and I considered that it was the right time to do so. So now they are in their new 11l house.

Thinking a week more growing, my microscope is too powerful i think pain to use saw a couple ambers but i think most are still cloudy if not see through. Should i lay off nutes this week or?

Her buds are much bigger than my other outdoor grows. Im excited to see how they develop!

Not an overly impressive strain and I would say she was not that hard to grow. If I even grew this one again I would let it go naturally with some LST. Wanted more grape flavours but they don't really come through in the smoke. There's a bit of a sharp fruity smell that's sort of piney with a hint of fuel at the end. The smoke is not too flavourful in my opinion but that just means I didn't grow it well. Super tight nugs so be careful with humidity as stated above. Also she's a bit of a light feeder so be careful with your nutes. As you can see I burnt her tips and over fed her a lot. Not a bad yield though! I've only really smoked the lowers on this one so far so that gave me a bit of a racey high, just slightly racey. I would accredit that to the lowers not being mature enough at chop. The plant is super dense and since I mainlined it the lowers didn't receive enough light. I tried to let the lowers mature more but the plant stopped maturing when I chopped the tops, this caused stress and the plant just shut down basically. Not sure if I would grow Blimburn's GDP again until I grow the real GDP.
