Welcome to my FastBuds GSC grow-off diary! I plan on growing 2 seeds from the same package - one using a 950ml Gatorade bottle dwc system, and the other sharing a 64L reservior DWC. I'll grow them both while trying to be as simiar in techique as i can, but i'm more interested in how the 950ml does, so might not be super picky about doing things exactly the same, heh. I'm making this all up as I go! Enjoy the ride! Week 0 ====== Day 0.1 - 2 seeds in water for 24hrs Day 0.2- 2 Seeds in wet paper towel, in a plastic bag for 24-48hrs until taproot is out Day 0.3 - 24hrs later - one seed has sprouted a tail Day 0.4 - 2nd seed sprouted tail; put both seeds into rockwool Day 0.5 - 1st seed sprouted from rockwool Day 0.6 - 1st seed doing well, 2nd seed no change Day 0.7 - Checked 2nd seed and hasn't budged, so it's a dud. Started a new seed (had 3 GSC, so all good!) Day 0.8 - 1st seed into the 1L DWC bottle! Day 0.10 - 3rd seed germinated - into rockwool to sprout. DWC Prototype ----------------- - 950ml Gatorade Bottle - 2x small air stones - 1/2" overflow tube where i want the water level to be - Nutrient top-feed line The reservoir below is 19L (~15L of solution) with a small 80gph water pump on lowest setting, which will be on a timer for 15 mins every 3 hours (at first - we'll see how that goes). The water pumps nutrient solution up to the Gatorade bottle and the overflow goes back down into the reservoir.

I did an aggressive lollipop

New week, new growth. So we have done another defoliation to allow the lower shoots to be exposed to the lights which equal to a better yield come flower time, they always need a day or 2 recover after being put under any stress, especially if its an extreme amount of leaves being taken off. They were also lollipoped to clear up and messy under growth and to improve airflow under the canopy. I also took clones from each of these. Paying close attention to the EC and pH. Increasing and decreasing as and when I need to going off what the plants show me. Close to flower now. A few days to go! 🌱 Terminando la semana 4 y las plantas se ven vigorosas 💪 Después del trasplante, las niñas se han mostrado bastante fuertes y adaptándose muy bien al cambio. Se nota que el trabajo previo dio resultado. Detecté una pequeña carencia de nitrógeno, así que en el próximo riego voy a incorporar unos mililitros extra de Bio Grow para corregirlo. Por ahora, todo marcha excelente y las plantas están respondiendo de maravilla. 🌿 Dato útil: Unos días antes del trasplante (semana 3), a las macetas de 11 litros les apliqué al menos 1 litro de agua con una dosis mínima de Root Juice. Esto fue para preparar y humedecer el sustrato, lo que facilitó mucho el trasplante y evitó la necesidad de regar en exceso esta semana. ¡Seguimos dándole con cariño y atención al cultivo! 🌞🌱

8/14/2024 Topped plant A due to the node spacing and side branching. Hopefully, this will cause this pheno to bush out a bit more. Intentionally FIMed plant B due to the short internodal spacing and difficulties getting a clean cut for a topping. This plant is already quite bushy and condensed - hoping that it will respond nicely to FIM. Water was not changed over entirely, only added one fresh gallon of nutrient water with additional nutrients added to step up entire system to close to 575-600ppm. Both plants are looking great, root zone needs some improvement with water temperatures. I have ordered a larger water cooler and hope that will help reduce the water temperature inside the tent. Although water temps are a bit high in the buckets, the roots are flourishing and are pearly white! 8/16/2024 Noticed Plant A is showing signs of potassium issues. Added one fresh gallon of non-nutrified water as I was unable to complete a water change. 8/17/2024 Pumped out 5 gallons of nutrient water and refreshed with 5 new gallons. Both plants look to be responding well to the water change. The resulting PPM was 650 after allowing time for the system to reach equilibrium. Extra insulation on the buckets is helping to maintain lower water temperatures throughout the day with lights on in the tent. The environment is pretty well dialed in at an average 1.2-1.6 VPD. 8/19/2024 Replaced water cooler with one that is twice the size and rated for 15-gallon systems. Running reservoir temp target at 18.5 C. Conducted some minor LST on the bushy plant (Plant B) to get the middle opened up a bit more. Did some leaf tucking on plant A to get the lower branches some more direct light. 8/20/2024 Both plants are looking phenomenal. There is a very slight cannabis smell in the tent at all times.

Watching her get frosty as hell. Besides her great structure, the trichome production this girl has is insane. She would be a great plant to press.

Let’s go Day 36 !!! This week went real great, girls built up a lot of structure, and stayed super healthy ! Today they got fed just water phd at 6.5 ! They been really loving that balance! I also removed a lot of under trim since we are going into preflower , so had to shave up those legs lol ! It’s really great for them , the love that airflow , but don’t take off too much or you could shock your plants so be careful ! Can’t wait to see what these girls do this week ! Día 01 de su octava semana de flora. Pandemia kush y la Trimosa x mimosa sin apical se van a cortar a mediados de esta semana. El resto por cuestión de tiempo voy a apurarlas cortandolas en 10 días más.

Week 9 marks a turning point for the grow. The main plants are deep into flower now, with dense buds that glisten under the HPS light. Their smell is intoxicating, filling the room with the rich, sweet aroma that hints at the potency to come. Even the late bloomer has stepped up its game. While it’s still behind the others, it’s finally entering full flower, its smaller buds beginning to form. It’s got a unique charm, and I can’t help but root for it—sometimes the underdog ends up stealing the show. The grow room feels like it’s nearing its peak. The plants are massive now, with thick branches bending under the weight of their buds. Every day brings new changes, and I can see the finish line getting closer. The hard work is paying off, and I can’t wait to see how these beauties turn out in the final weeks.

Day 64 (August 19): so the blumats are gone now. I found they didn’t work great with too dressing because the majority of the top dressing doesn’t get soaked. So I’m watering from a can now. Added worm Castings and Power Bloom 2-8-4 for their last feeding! Day 66: By using the AC unit, I’ve been able to get the temps down to exactly where I want them. Sitting at about 76 degrees and 50% humidity. Things are getting FROSTY Day 67: temps are good, humidity is good. These ladies are thriving. They got a good soak today with PH’d water. Should last them a couple days. Day 69: Brought the lights down to 18”. Really trying to maximize the light output on these girls. They’re getting frosty 👊🏼

Lefty was dropped during veg that explains why she looks a few days behind the other i damaged a high fan leaf in about week 5 of veg and now I know what effect it has so not to do it again! Started on pk13 two days ago just a video update for now 😋

The plants have made it through their first full week since transplant. Other than the initial watering, I only watered once on Day 5. They seem to be holding up well despite temperatures being a bit lower than ideal. I’m keeping PPFD around 250, which seems to be working fine. Lighting remains at 18 hours on, 6 off for consistency. Root development is progressing—smaller plastic pots are starting to show roots, but I’m still waiting for root visibility in the fabric pot before switching on the Autopot Tray2Grow. Starting preventative pest management today with Central Coast Garden Products Green Cleaner to stay ahead of any potential issues. Will monitor root progress and adjust as needed. D
