Battered & bruised. Give her another week in 14 then next week its 10/14. Nature uses: Mass Flow (Barometric Pumping): This refers to the bulk movement of air through soil pores caused by pressure differences. Fluctuations in barometric pressure (high and low pressure fronts) and wind speed over the surface create these pressure differentials, which can force air in or out of the soil. This is how soil "breathes" so to speak. Barometric pressure fluctuations can cause day-to-day variations in gas emissions by a factor of 20 to 35 times, a dynamic response that highlights its importance in the overall carbon cycle. Indoor growers use: Negative pressure can replicate the effects of barometric pumping by creating pressure differentials that induce air to flow in and CO2 and nitrogen out in a controlled manner. Carbon dioxide is released by microorganisms when they eat sugars, when there is no mass flow in a cycle/system where microorganisms are releasing CO2 from eating sugars, the CO2 accumulates in the medium, leading to several significant effects: cut a long story short, the lack of mass flow prevents essential gas exchange, causing the waste product (CO2) to become a self-inhibiting factor that limits the microbial activity and can eventually kill the organisms. Increasing the amount of carbon in a soil increases its moisture retention, an often-overlooked detail that often ends up around the 4th week of flower, people wondering why hypoxia occurred. Around 40% of all the carbon captured is exuded into the soil to feed microorganisms and converted to chemical energy; CO2 accumulates. This is why it's required if you want to reuse the soil. CO2 is a very stable molecule, sitting at a "bottom of the potential energy well". A significant amount of energy is required to break its strong bonds and convert it into a higher-energy, more useful molecule (like a fuel). Converting CO2 back into fuels requires the same amount of energy released during its original combustion (due to the conservation of energy), which often makes the process energy-intensive and expensive. Therein lies the key, 90% of the air that enters the tent, enters through the rootzones, up and through the underside of plant canopy, air comes in but all the CO2 accumulates in bottom half of the tent due to its density. The exhaust linked to rh keeps a constant negative pressure that links to the rate of cellular respiration performed at night. Come morning the compensation point is upwards of 1500pmm by morning. 300 dollar grow light on its 15th grow. The real star of the show is the 14000btu Portable ac unit.

What a week for this girl! After seeing both of my Sweet Seed autos take a hit from my lack of watering with runoff, I decided to take preventative matters with this Gelato plant and flushed her clean with 8 gallons of plain pHed water, and then a final gallon of a light feeding mix. Since doing that 4 days ago, definitely have seen some further discolouration, but as far as I can tell, It's stopped spreading to the new growth, so I'm 'hoping' to be in the clear but you really never know. I got the soil pH up from 5.4 to 6.5, and the ppm down from 1100ish to just under 400 (which is typical ppm for a flushed plant). Going to keep a close eye, but damn do I feel like she went through some serious shock. Bud development has pretty much slowed down, so hoping she bounces back and start stacking, but I also don't know if this is from the shock of the flush, or the low temps I've been faced with this week. Anyway, definitely learned my lesson on this run! Organic growing here I come 😁

Hey guys! Sorry for the late update, I've been hella busy lately! 😱 This week was good and for that very reason it was uneventful. I did some defoliation to let the lower branches receive more light and it seems the plants received it well. 😁 Matcha still has some weird looking leaves 😰 but I suppose those are old leaves and they are just there because I didn't cut them earlier. Pistachio in another hand is doing great! 😍 I also took some photos of their roots, they look interesting! I suppose they are that way because the root mass below them must be huge. Anyway, that's all for now. Thanks everyone for reading! πŸ‘‹

Top dressed at the start of week 10 of veg in preparation to start flower this week. Defoliated and lollipop the bottom and also switched using recharge at every watering to tribus bloom at 1/2 strength to add microbes. Dropped ph to 6.3. The pics and videos this week is from 3 days after flipping the light schedule.the tent took longer to arrive than expected, I honestly would’ve flipped at the end of week 8 if I had the means, hopefully the flower stretchy isn’t massive, the plant sits at 42 inches and the plant pot is 1 1/2 feet so I am running out of space in the tent quickly.

Did lots and lots of defoliation, had piles and piles of unwanted fan leaves using juice that could be redirected an focused on swelling up the buds, so they had to go you know.

One more week up wee go , and dude are they going hehehe , i had some life to my room and im giving the stretch times but asap i will apply deep and hard defoliation with should be enough until almost the end of cycle. And defoliation day came and with it a second net to help support future buds, i was gona go harder on them but lol im happy with the new haircut lol Gave them a strong full feeding with it and had some conditioner to my soil to help braking death mater and also gave them nome nematodes to fight fungus nets larvas and help control the life on my soil. For now thats all im doing , i will keep monitoring this fungus net and springtails etc that came with the time of the year and with the fact that im growing fully mineral organic . Eternity Grow Cup - Week 11 VEG Report This is a pivotal week in our Eternity Grow Cup journey as we wrap up VEG and prepare to transition into FLOWER. Our goal has been to ensure that the plants are thriving and optimized for the next phase. This report will detail everything that took place during this crucial week. Mass Defoliation & Structural Training We began the week with an extensive defoliation session. Every leaf with a stem was removed to clear space for optimal light penetration and airflow. This process was done mostly by hand, clicking them off in the opposite direction of growth, while some stubborn ones were snipped with scissors. By the end, it felt like we had taken out nearly half a kilo of leaves! The room now looks clean, structured, and ready to fill out the ScroggNet. To further enhance the plant structure, branches were attached to the pots, allowing for better horizontal growth. This technique helps maximize canopy exposure and prepares the plants for even light distribution once flowering begins. Defoliation before flowering is a key step as it reduces overcrowding, improves airflow, and sets the plants up for efficient energy use in the next phase. Light Schedule & Adjustments This week, we introduced a subtle but effective light adjustment. While still maintaining an 18-hour light cycle, we initiated a 15-minute delay with the whites, allowing the reds to start first. This gradual shift signals the plants that a change is coming. Similarly, at the end of the light cycle, the whites turn off 15 minutes earlier, leaving the reds on for an extended period. This strategy mimics natural sunrise and sunset, helping the plants transition more smoothly into flowering. Additionally, at the end of the week, we will be implementing 48 hours of darkness before the official flip to flower. This method has worked exceptionally well in past grows, helping plants recognize the transition and encouraging a strong start to flowering. However, it's important to emphasize that this is a personal technique and not a universal rule. Every grower should experiment with different methods to find what works best for their specific environment. Environmental Conditions & Challenges Currently, our temperature is at 27Β°C with 60% humidity, resulting in a VPD of 1.50. While slightly higher than the ideal for VEG, our CO2 levels are over 1000 ppm, and the light intensity is at 570 PPFD, making it a manageable balance. The solution pH is 5.79 (essentially 5.8), EC is 1.38, and water temperature is 17.7Β°C. One challenge we are facing is maintaining optimal reservoir temperatures. Currently, it's a bit low at 17.7Β°C, and we are exploring solutions to raise it slightly. However, the medium temperature sits at 22.2Β°C, which is a good range. The humidifier is still in use, though it struggles to increase humidity further, so we are working with what we have to keep the VPD in check. ICL-300s Integration The ICL-300 lights are now fully active. Unlike the last grow, where we introduced them later, this time they are on from the start of flowering prep. This adjustment is an experiment to see if the plants respond better to an early introduction. Learning is at the core of this journey, and each grow offers new insights. Whether this proves to be the optimal strategy or not, it will be a valuable lesson for future grows. TrolMaster Hub & Data Monitoring Throughout the week, we have been closely monitoring our grow using the TrolMaster App TM+. We are displaying some of the collected data for everyone to see the details. Stay tuned as we explore this further in the next report! As always, we want to extend a huge thank you to our sponsors and the amazing community. Special thanks to Aptus, Groovebags, Cannakan, Promix, Ziggy Papers, TrolMaster, and Plagron, Zamnesia and Grow Diaries for making the Eternity Cup possible. I apprecilove the support from all sidesβ€”lovers, haters, competitors, and fellow growers. The competition continues to push us to improve, and i am thrilled to see the incredible reports from others. This is a challenging yet rewarding experience, and i couldn’t be happier to be part of it. For those following along, we invite you to check out our YouTube channel, where we upload full 4K episodes showcasing the entire journey. Some episodes are too large to be uploaded directly to Grow Diaries, so YouTube is the best place to catch everything in high definition. This marks the end of VEG, and we are officially ready to flip to FLOWER. Next week, we will dive into the TrolMaster System in action, check the data insights, and monitor how the garden adapts to the shift. Stay tuned! Strain: Chocolate Haze (Royal Queen Seeds) Medium: Coco bricks (Action budget bricks – hell yeah πŸ’°) Light cycle: 12/12 from seed Grow Style: No training, no stress – just flow Grow Medium Prep: 500L of coco – never again in one go πŸ˜… The Kickoff πŸš€ This run started off wild and direct – no veg time, straight into 12/12 with Chocolate Haze. I wanted a quick turnaround and thought, hey, why wait? I germinated 14 seeds, hoping for at least 9 strong ladies. Ended up with 11 survivors – not bad! First few weeks were a bit chaotic: stretching due to low light (I tucked the seedlings under mature plants, which I do not recommend πŸ˜†), and the coco prep took way longer than expected. But hey, that's the game. Early Veg/Bloom β€” Lessons Learned pH: Started a bit high; some light green leaves at first EC: Too low at 1.3 β€” they weren't having it. Upped to 1.7 and then to 2.1 later Environment: New extractor dropped temps way down (25Β°C vs my usual 30Β°C). Thought it would help, but growth felt slower Coco quirks: They looked overwatered at times, but coco is tricky like that. Eventually, roots hit the bottom and they took off Around mid-March (3 weeks in), pistils showed up – officially the start of flower. I topped them once just before full bloom kicked in. Always a strange move, cutting healthy plants... but they bounced back beautifully. Nice and bushy now. Week 2–5 Flowering 🌸 These ladies are small but mighty. Not tall, but full of energy. The canopy is tight and even (except for one shorty), and they've been stretching like crazy β€” classic sativa move. Had to raise the lights twice in two days. I’ll probably do some defoliation soon to slow things down a bit. Environment is now dialed in: Temp: 30Β°C with lights on RH: Holding nicely in that humid sweet spot COβ‚‚: Set to 500ppm (passive mostly, no full-on enrichment) Feeding is now solid, color has recovered beautifully, and the buds are starting to form nice stacks. I’ve kept it low-stress β€” no nets, no heavy training, just letting them do their thing. Observations & Setup Tweaks πŸ”§ Ventilation: Running the fan at just 30% now. Tent takes 18 seconds to vacuum seal, which tells me airflow is minimal – less COβ‚‚ loss. COβ‚‚ System: Minimal usage at 500 ppm. I’m not going all-out with gas bottles; it’s just there as a buffer. Structure: These Chocolate Haze plants don’t get tall, but they do fill out nicely. Perfect for a space where height is limited. Auto side note: One of the autos in the same tent is way taller, but less dense. Makes me appreciate the Chocolate Haze structure even more. Current Status (April 17) πŸ“† We’re deep into flower now β€” week 5, and it shows. Buds are swelling and resin production is kicking in. Nothing major to report (which is kind of the point of this grow β€” set and forget). Just a slight dry issue with one auto, which I adjusted on the Blumats. Besides that? Happy plants, happy grower. 🌞 Check the latest pics β€” they speak for themselves. Final Thoughts (So Far) πŸ’ This Chocolate Haze grow has been chill, efficient, and surprisingly hands-off. The direct 12/12 schedule really works when you're going for a fast cycle with minimal hassle. And even though I’m usually more into hybrids, this sativa-dominant lady is winning me over β€” the structure, the vigor, the smell… mmm. Now we wait for the real magic β€” the last few weeks of flower. Trichomes incoming. 🍫✨ Stay tuned for harvest updates β€” it’s gonna be sweet. Feel free to drop any questions or thoughts. Always happy to share the love for the plant. πŸ’š Peace

This is the sister diary of the Runtz showdown, in which we pit two great performing strains created by two highly acclaimed and respected breeders, in a duel to the death. This diary features the RUNTZ XL AUTO strain by SweetSeeds. In the meantime, all seeds have germinated and seemed to have a level start. Also here we loaded the grow with our magical intentions as we sowed on Imbolc, the celebration day of the Goddess of spring: Bridget. We cant wait to see where this will lead us. Both strains will have the exact same conditions, lighting, care and nutrition. The Lights Also here we use our trusty Mars Hydro SP-3000, where we are trying to get over 600 grams (2x gram per watt) we succeeded almost on the previous grow, where we got to 1.5 grams per watt. We are starting in the regulars when these strains have only 4 to 5 weeks left to go, to double up on the 18hr light schedule. The Soil Our trusty organic super soil recipe which I will include in the images The Genetics SweetSeeds Runtz XL Variety: SWS88 Indica: 47,1% Sativa: 52,5% Ruderalis: 0,4% THC: 17-25% CBD: 0,5% Indoor Yield: 400-550 g/mΒ² Outdoor Yield: 50-175 g/plant Indoor/Outdoor Harvest: 8 weeks from germination Height: 60-120 cm Effects: Relaxing, Stimulating, Creativity Taste: Sweet, Fruity Thank you for following us again and all the support on our previous grows! We love you! Hug Biobuds and Sunshine.
