WEEK 11) DAY1 Changed light schedule from 20/4 to 18/6 which will stay that way until harvest. Now I also start dropping the temperature 1 degree every 3-4 days. You don’t have to do this! I do this so the plants gradually acclimate to the lower temperatures like fall and then the beautiful different colors that come out from every individual Girl are different. Ghost Train Haze — Harvest / Trim / Cure Part 2 — Trimming, Resin & First Cure First of all, once again, sorry for dividing this harvest into three different parts. But honestly… there was just no way to fit this entire experience into one single update without rushing it. This run became something special for us. So instead of throwing everything into one giant report, we wanted to slow things down and give each phase the attention it deserves. Part 1 was about harvest day itself — especially the frozen plant and the preparation for the future ice water hash runs. Now in Part 2, we focus on the monster of the room. The big Ghost Train Haze girl. The giant. And damn… she was beautiful. ⸻ The Giant Finally Ready After drying slowly and patiently, she finally reached that moment every grower waits for: the stem click. Not bending anymore. Not soft anymore. That perfect dry snap telling us she was finally ready for trimming. And honestly, seeing this massive plant hanging there fully dried was already rewarding by itself. Huge flowers. Dense structure. Long spears everywhere. Frost absolutely covering the plant from top to bottom. At this point, we brought out the Trim Bin, got comfortable, and of course… Mr. Baggy joined the session too. Because trimming alone is trimming. But trimming with the homies becomes part of the memory. ⸻ Trimming This Beast Once we started separating the branches and working through the flowers properly, one thing became immediately obvious: This plant was ridiculously frosty. And I mean ridiculously. Possibly the frostiest plant in the entire room. Every touch released resin. Every nug felt sticky. Scissors getting glued together constantly. Gloves turning darker and shinier minute after minute. The flowers themselves came out incredibly dense and compact too. Heavy in the hand. Proper weight to them. Not airy at all despite the sativa influence from Ghost Train Haze. And visually? Beautiful. Silver-covered calyxes. Orange hairs fading perfectly into the resin layer. Chunky flowers with that classic “don’t squeeze too hard or you’ll ruin the trichomes” feeling. This girl truly felt like a reward after the full cycle. ⸻ The Trim Bin Surprise One thing we absolutely loved during this trimming session was watching how much resin naturally collected inside the Trim Bin. By the end of the session, the amount of loose trichome heads sitting underneath the screen was honestly crazy. No dry sift machine. No mechanical shaker. Just trimming. And still… A beautiful golden layer of resin waiting for us underneath. Of course, finger hash also started building up naturally while trimming. Sticky gloves. Sticky fingers. Sticky scissors. The classic signs of a happy trimming session. Then came one of our favorite moments of the day. ⸻ Playing The Drums — Moroccan Style At the end, we decided to have some fun with the trim itself. Using the dry material almost like traditional Moroccan drum-sifting techniques, we gently worked the trim leaves and remaining material to knock off even more trichomes. Simple. Relaxed. Traditional-inspired. And honestly? It worked beautifully. What we collected afterward turned into a gorgeous little hash bar that looked and smelled incredible. We didn’t even bother weighing it. Sometimes not everything needs numbers. Some things are simply for the experience. For the ritual. For the future session. For curiosity. For enjoyment. And this one definitely earned its place for later tasting sessions. ⸻ Final Dry Weight After everything was trimmed, cleaned, and separated, the final dry flower weight from this single plant came to: 294.9 grams dry Honestly? We’re extremely happy with that. Almost 300 grams from a single plant in this run is something we can absolutely appreciate. Especially considering this entire project was: * 12/12 from seed * Minimal training * Minimal intervention * Natural structure * Mostly observation and guidance Just letting the plant express herself while giving her the right environment. And she rewarded us massively. ⸻ Storage & Cure — Different Approaches Once trimming was done, we started organizing the curing process using different storage methods. This time we decided to split the flower between: * Glass jars * Metal Zamnesia containers * Grove Bags Each one has its own purpose and philosophy. Glass Jars The classic. Simple, reliable, proven for decades. Perfect for manual burping and personally controlling the curing environment yourself. They also allow us to visually inspect the flowers easily during cure. ⸻ Metal Containers The Zamnesia metal containers feel more protective physically and also help reduce light exposure completely. They feel solid. Clean. Almost laboratory-like. A very nice option for preserving flower while keeping things discreet and protected. ⸻ Grove Bags These are probably the most modern approach we tested in this run. The idea behind Grove Bags is that their “TerpLoc” technology supposedly regulates humidity internally while allowing gas exchange in a controlled way. The theory is that they naturally maintain flower within the ideal curing range around: 58–62% RH without constant burping. So now we’re extremely curious to compare all three methods later during the smoke review phase: * Does one preserve terpenes better? * Does one keep the flower softer? * Does aroma evolve differently? * Does cure quality actually change? We’ll definitely revisit this in Part 3. ⸻ The Frozen Plant — Flower Comparison After finishing the main giant plant, we also trimmed and cured the material that came from the frozen/hash-focused plant from Part 1. This was important for us because we wanted to compare: * Flower from the “normal dried” plant vs * Flower from the plant intended mainly for extraction And surprisingly? The terpene profiles feel extremely similar. Same family. Same identity. Same Ghost Train Haze soul. Maybe slight differences in intensity or texture, but overall the profile remained very recognizable between both plants. Which honestly gives us a very good feeling about the future hash quality too. The frozen plant itself ended up giving: 58.5 grams dry Plus whatever was already separated and reserved through the frozen material process itself. So overall, absolutely worth it. ⸻ Macro Photography & Focus Stacking During all this, we also continued working on our macro photography experiments. Some of the photos shared in this update were actually focus-stacked images made from: * 112 photos * 96 photos * 33 photos For people unfamiliar with focus stacking: Macro photography has extremely shallow depth of field. When you photograph trichomes closely, only tiny portions stay in focus at once. So instead, we take dozens — sometimes over a hundred — separate images with different focus points and merge them together afterward in software. The result is a final image where the entire flower or trichome field becomes sharp at the same time. It takes time. It takes patience. But honestly, we love the process. Because cannabis truly deserves to be appreciated up close. ⸻ Trimming Timelapses We also recorded trimming timelapses so people can better see the workflow behind everything. Not just the glamorous final nug shots. All going well, apart from it Looks like both gorilla cookies are hungry might start giving them both some biobizz bloom 15.1.23 Turned water off in morning. 7 hours later watered Put 70g pk tea brewed for 32 hours in 3.75L water with 1tsp (4g) of bactrex Ph down to 6.6 from 7.6 Ec 3.0. Brought down to ec2.5 by adding water so gave each 750ml in bottom off tray Turned water back on following morning

They started flowering gave them Chicken Manure a few days earlier when I noticed it, in the 3rd week if flower i'm going to give them rabbit manure and make a flowering tea for them 😁we will see how it goes also might get a PK Booster 🤔

First time growing in a long while. I set up a custom grow tent with some wood and mylar sheets. I'm using an old Rodeadro lamp for now but expecting the new Mars Hydro sometimes soon. Really doing this for the experience with no great expectations and hopeful for a fair amount of weed in the end.

5/27/22: - Today makes 4 weeks since sprouting! 5/30/22: - Transplanted today into an earthbox with 14ft Build a Soil 3.0 Recipe. Have a light watering as well. Added Mykos to the transplant hole. 5/31/22: - did some training to bend branches to get lower nodes some light and to level out canopy before adding trellis net. 6/1/22: - Gave a foliar spray today with Build A Soil Quillaja Wetting agent, Horticultural Aloe and Horticultural Coconut - Top dressed with silica, craft blend, worm castings and kashi blend. All from build a soil 6/2/22: - filled up the earthbox resovoir for the first time today. - increased light to 90% ppfd around 500ish

🌿 Amnesia Haze Auto by Zamnesia – Pheno A Week 12 | The Heavy Queen Needs a Little Help Holding Herself Up 👑🔥🌸 Welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure! 🌱💚 And our Queen... She's still doing exactly what she wants. 😂👑 And honestly? At this stage, that's exactly what I want to see. She's growing. She's developing. She's carrying an absolutely ridiculous amount of flower. She's getting heavier. And she's basically reached the point where I walk into the room, look at her branches, and think: "Yep... you definitely need another yoyo." 😂😂😂 I know. I know. There are a LOT of yoyos on this girl. Probably more than most plants would ever need. But... have you seen her? 😂👑🌸 She's heavy as fuck. There. I said it. 😂 And I'm not even sorry. Because when a plant is carrying this much weight throughout her structure, those supports aren't decoration. They're there because the plant is simply asking for a little assistance. And that's pretty much the entire story of this week. We're not doing much. We're not trying to change her. We're not trying to force her. We're not trying to reinvent the plant. We're simply watching. And when she needs something... we support her. That's it. She is doing her beautiful thing. And I'm perfectly happy letting her do it. 👑🌿🔥 ──────────────────────── 🌱 WEEK 12 – LET THE QUEEN BE THE QUEEN ──────────────────────── This is one of those weeks where the best description is probably: "Not much happened... and that's exactly what we wanted." 😂🌱 The structure is established. The flowers are developed. The plant knows where she's going. The environment is stable. The lighting is doing its job. The irrigation is doing its job. The nutrition is being managed. And now? We observe. That's becoming more and more the rhythm of the 8×8 Adventure. Earlier in the grow, there were plenty of decisions to make. Plenty of things to adjust. Plenty of structural work. Plenty of moments where we had to actively guide the plants. Now we're reaching the part where the plants are doing most of the work themselves. Our job becomes much simpler. Look. Observe. Check. Support when necessary. Adjust when necessary. And otherwise... leave the girls alone. 😂🌿 And Amnesia Haze Pheno A? She's making that incredibly easy. Because she's doing exactly what she should be doing. ──────────────────────── 👑 SHE'S HEAVY... REALLY HEAVY ──────────────────────── Let's talk about those yoyos. 😂😂😂 Because there are a lot of them. And yes... I know. I KNOW. Anyone looking at the photographs might be thinking: "Mate... how many yoyos does one plant need?" 😂 Apparently... this many. 👑????? But there's a reason. She's heavy. Not "looks like she might get heavy." Not "maybe she'll need support later." She's already carrying serious weight throughout the plant. The branches are loaded. The flowers are substantial. The overall structure has a lot going on. And without support, she's simply not standing the way she would naturally if she were carrying less weight. So what do we do? We help her. That's it. No drama. No panic. No complicated intervention. Just support. If the plant is telling us: "Hey... this is getting a little heavy." We listen. 😂👑 That's what those yoyos are there for. ──────────────────────── ? THE YOYOS HAVE ENTERED THE CHAT ──────────────────────── At this point, I think the yoyos deserve their own section. 😂? Because honestly... they've become part of her identity. Every time I look at her, I see another one. "There's another yoyo." "Oh, there's another one." "And another." 😂 Eventually I'm going to run out of places to put them. But until then... the Queen gets whatever support she needs. Because I'm not interested in watching beautiful branches struggle simply because I want the plant to look cleaner. Function comes first. She's carrying weight. We're helping her carry it. Simple. And I actually like this part of the grow. Because it shows something important. Supporting a plant isn't necessarily about changing the plant. Sometimes it's simply about helping the plant support the results of everything it has already built. 🌿➡️🌸➡️? She's done the growing. She's built the flowers. Now we're just giving the structure a helping hand. ──────────────────────── 🌸 LOOK AT WHAT SHE'S CARRYING ──────────────────────── And when you actually stop and look at this girl... it's pretty impressive. The flowers are distributed throughout that huge structure. Branches are loaded. There are flowering sites at different heights. There are flowers tucked throughout the canopy. And everywhere you look... there's something happening. This isn't a plant with one or two impressive branches. She's got a whole network of them. That's why the weight becomes such an important part of her story. Her size isn't simply about height. She's a three-dimensional plant. Branches moving in different directions. Flowers occupying different levels. Foliage filling spaces. And all of that adds up. At some point... gravity gets involved. 😂🌍 And gravity doesn't care how beautiful your flowers are. So we help. ?👑 ──────────────────────── 🌿 NOT FAST – NOT SLOW – JUST PERFECT ──────────────────────── And I really like how the user described her this week: She's not moving fast. She's not moving slow. She's moving perfectly. 💚🌿 That's exactly how I feel about this girl now. We've spent weeks comparing different rhythms throughout the room. Some girls are flying. Some are taking the scenic route. Some are somewhere in between. But Amnesia Haze Pheno A? She's simply doing her thing at exactly the rhythm she wants. And I don't feel any need to put a speed label on her anymore. She's not racing. She's not lagging. She's just... growing. 😂🌱 And she's doing it beautifully. That's enough. More than enough. ──────────────────────── 💡 SAME ROOM – SAME PHOTONS – HER OWN JOURNEY ──────────────────────── The environment remains shared. The two additional Future of Grow Black Series 600W fixtures remain part of the room. We're still using the expanded lighting capacity with controlled output rather than simply running everything flat out. Approximately: 💡 ~59% power from the plug with around: ☀️ ~1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy and naturally varying intensity depending on plant height and position. And once again... the interesting part isn't simply the number. It's what the plant does with the environment. Amnesia Haze Pheno A has built herself a huge, three-dimensional structure. She has leaves at different levels. Branches crossing through different areas. Flowers occupying different positions. And she's interacting with those photons throughout that structure. The plant isn't a flat surface. She's an entire little ecosystem of leaves, branches and flowers. 😂🌿☀️ And she's using the room. ──────────────────────── ☀️ MORE CAPABILITY – CONTROLLED POWER ──────────────────────── I continue to love what the Future of Grow lighting upgrade has brought to this room. The two additional Black Series 600W fixtures gave us more capacity. But more capacity doesn't mean we have to use maximum capacity all the time. That's not the goal. The goal is control. We have the ability to provide more light where it's useful. We can adjust the output. We can distribute the available photons across this enormous canopy. And we don't need to push the fixtures unnecessarily. That's one of the things I really appreciate about this setup. More capability. More flexibility. Controlled output. And the girls get to decide what to do with it. ☀️💚🌿 A huge thank you again to Future of Grow for making that possible in this adventure. ──────────────────────── 🌸 THE FLOWERS ARE DOING THE TALKING ──────────────────────── And honestly... at this point, I don't need to do much talking for her. And they're making those branches heavy enough that we've basically had to build a support network around the Queen. 😂👑? That's one of those situations where the plant tells you what it needs. There's no need to invent a problem. There's no need to constantly intervene. If she needs support... support her. If she doesn't... leave her alone. And right now? Support is the main thing she's asking from us. So support she gets. ──────────────────────── 🔬 OBSERVATION MODE: ACTIVATED ──────────────────────── This is the stage of the grow where I feel like I'm becoming more of a spectator. 😂 And honestly? I love it. Earlier: "Should we train this?" "Should we move that?" "Should we adjust this?" "Should we clean this?" Now: "How does she look?" "Does she need support?" "Is everything stable?" "Is there anything that actually needs our attention?" If the answer is no... walk away. 😂🌿 That's the discipline. Sometimes the best grower intervention is knowing when NOT to intervene. And Amnesia Haze Pheno A doesn't need us constantly touching her. She needs room to continue doing what she's already doing. ──────────────────────── 👑 SHE'S BECOME A BIG MAMA ──────────────────────── I've called her the Queen for weeks. But honestly... she's becoming more and more of a big mama. 😂👑🌿 She's got size. She's got branches. She's got flowers. She's got weight. She's got personality. And she's got enough support equipment around her to make it look like she's preparing for a small construction project. 😂?🏗️ But I wouldn't have it any other way. Because everything we're supporting is something she built herself. Every branch. Every flower. Every gram of weight. Every bit of structure. It's the result of her own growth. We're simply helping her carry it. And that's a pretty beautiful stage to be in. ──────────────────────── 🍃 THE FUNKY LADY IS STILL HERSELF ──────────────────────── And of course... we can't forget the leaves. 😂🍃 This girl has always had her own way of arranging herself. Her foliage continues to have that characteristic Amnesia Haze Pheno A personality. Leaves pointing here. Leaves pointing there. Some sitting at angles that make absolutely no sense to my human brain. 😂 But that's her. And I'm not here to make every leaf behave like it belongs in a textbook. I'm here to observe the plant. If the plant is healthy-looking and developing beautifully... I don't need to correct something simply because it looks different. Different is part of the experiment. And this girl is definitely different. ──────────────────────── ⚗️ NUTRITION – CONSISTENCY AND OBSERVATION ──────────────────────── The room continues under the same general nutritional approach we've been using during this stage of the run. We're no longer at the point where I feel the need to constantly change things simply because a new week has started. Instead... we observe the plants and make adjustments when they're actually needed. The same general flowering nutrition remains part of the room's framework, while we're beginning to think more about the transition toward the later stages. The important part for Amnesia Haze Pheno A is that we're not chasing her. We're not saying: "She's big, therefore we must change everything." 😂 No. She's big. She's developing. She's using what she's being given. So we continue watching her response. That's it. Consistency. Observation. We're not doing major structural work. We're not reshaping the canopy. We're not trying to force new growth. We're not trying to make her something she's not. We're simply providing support where the plant needs it. That's it. And then we step back. Because once you've reached this stage... you don't want to confuse activity with progress. Doing more doesn't automatically mean doing better. Sometimes: less intervention + good observation = exactly what the plant needs. And that's where we are with this girl. She's doing the growing. We're doing the watching. And occasionally... we're doing the yoyo installation department. 😂? ──────────────────────── 📸 AND YES – SHE STILL DESERVES THE CAMERA ──────────────────────── Even though this week isn't about some huge intervention or dramatic change... she remains one of the plants I most enjoy photographing. Because there's so much structure. So much going on. So much weight. So many flowers. Every angle tells something different. Wide shot: "She's huge." Closer: "She's loaded." Closer still: "Okay... that's a lot of flower." 😂📸🌸 And then you look at the support structure and think: "Yep. Day 91 - The buds are frosty and getting more denser every week.

Flowers don’t look healthy…but we are getting there. 2nd tent has been bought and half way setup for next grow. Will have 2 tents going for next run. Im addicted to this grow stuff! So I didn't listen to advice of not removing leaves at Week 5 and went and removed and stripped....I regret it now. Bud development definitely slowed down and plants concentrated on growing out more leaves as it seems. Megacrop has been removed from feeding and just Myco Chun as a tea and Plagron 4-in-1 Green Sensation. Giving me an NPK ration of 1-9-11 Hopefully feed this for a week and then follow up with molasses feedings till harvest We shall see if that makes the buds develop a bit more. Buds getting denser and bigger by the day, had to purchase these bud hangers. So nifty. Just auto mode from now I guess

Frost is coming early and smells more heavy every day

Day 17 Both girls have been progressing nicely. Nice growth. Removed a male tentmate today. Pots are roughly half weight, may need water tomorrow or the day after. Day 18 Gave then both a neem oil top drench. Switched light schedule to take advantage of cooler night temps and lower electric use cost. Just gotta make sure I can prevent light leaks. (12p to 6p) Day 19 Gave both girls a light top fill of CocoLoco to reduce stretch. Great growth this past week.
