Flush week

It's really hard for a first time grower to grow without the input of others, particularly if you aren't a science type person. Grow diaries and the users who've commented have really helped me make decisions about how to handle the girls. What I've learnt is there's never a right or wrong way of doing something and a lot of your success is based on intuition! This my very first grow. I can't normally keep herbs alive and I had my fair share of disasters with this plant, from stem breakages (fixed with a tape and a ruler) and calculating nutes incorrectly. I LSTd and topped (accidentally initially) and left 2 alone. The ones left alone had the biggest yeild. I harvested at different stages, but within days. The trics were probably at 1% amber, 80% cloudy and the rest clear. A test smoke of a dry bud in a pipe which had been cured for a few days gave me a fun, giggly high that lasted a long time with rolling body effects that left me feeling reallllly good. I made butter out of the fresh wet trim of one plant (2oz of trim) and made 113g of knock out butter. Just a teaspoon had my flying for 24 hours. I was growing these 4 ladies, along with 4 non-auto skunk 1# which have been in veg mode for the whole time. They are beasts right now and I will start a diary for them to document the progress.

12/02/2024 13/02/2024 MS is growing funny 😁 TF has exactly the same feed mls. Shes looked forever hungry 14/02/2024 Lite Defoll. Midday. TF has never looked the healthiest with the first time using HydroSol + H202 water soluble feed. I think i have the ratio/some sroted to where I've seen improvements. First improvements i have seen are: 1. NO Nutritional burn or Lockout! (non-salt based). P.s ignore the over salas 12% HP at the start (no idea what i was thinking). Sometimes being ahead; means i am a being with a head that makes human errors. Oh, the joys of plant-discovery. Sorry side tracked lol 2. Quicker Absorbing witb water soluble food. As long as she's hydrated she's eating! 3. No idea yet Have a ball!! Listening to this relaxing and i started thibking about Spirituality and how its included in all faiths. Runtz is so sticky I can’t even put into words , she’s starting to get phat and showing what she’s capable of . Another full blown banger from Dutch fem . She’s everything you’d want at this stage , pungent, sticky , XL sized colas . Keep up the defol next week feeding the same now for a few weeks.

Changed solution and they all look healthy.💉🌊 Even managed to get the runt into a bucket. 🌱 Gonna cut some lower growth into clones before the weeks end. ✂️😊

End of the third week of the stretch and they certain out did stretch indeed😳. Had to crop over the tallest female - she just stretched wayyy too much and that’s gonna go against her in the rankings when we draw out our seed on each plant. The first male has dropped fully and the others are another 1-2 days out from harvest. We’ll collect all that pollen and store it for future use if it’s needed. The plants are all showing both similarities and differences - there’s an even distribution of sativa and indica leaning phenos which suggests that there is def. Some variability in terms of traits for this F1 generation. Exactly what we were looking for as we pare this down to the second filial generation. On the overall growth - absolutely no issues at all with nutritional deficiencies which is a welcome change of pace. The last while we’ve been growing some strains that have shown very odd reactions to nute changes and I suspect this is a result of certain strains simply being bred out too far. Hard to say but the radar is definitely up with the well known breeders right now. We have some real winner pheno clones that we’ve rooted and will be flowering out once we get this tent cleaned up and free of pollen. All told, the run is progressing much better than anticipated and with the rate of turnover through transition, I’m happy to say that there isn’t any one plant I won’t consider test running on the next cycle. We did have some og auto genetics in the tent for pollination as well but that plant is looking like a bit of a mutant. Not sure if we’ll even bother with testing it at this point but you never know. Expect a harvest update on the males as we move in to the flowering side of the grow and then it’s just waiting around for seed👍. Alls well for now. Background This project has been a year in strain selection (and another year in the actual making) to get to this point with a viable potential cross. It’ll be a true polyhybrid with a mix of sativa and indica leaning properties for each. We’ve combined an especially powerful hybrid sativa strain of Strawberry with an equally manageable and hard hitting strain of indica dominant Skywalker OG. The hope has always been to combine them and boil out the best characteristics of each. The strawberry is phenomenal in terms of terp profile and a mix of strong head and body effects while the Skywalker is a mind bending, body butter kind of indica with that earthy Kush profile and flowery undertones. The strawberry is prone to botrytis and fasciation but features excellent terps and yields if grown correctly. She’s Also stretchy and somewhat unruly when she gets going. The Skywalker is a contrast in growth characteristics with a squat structure, medium sized buds and excellent resilience and resistance. The plan is to seed out the available females and take cuts of what we can post-stretch to get a closer look at any differing phenos. Still very much early stages for a stabilized new strain but we’ve got the right foundation of solid genetics. Now we just gotta get it off the ground to the next generation👍. We’re predominantly focused on the plants that demonstrate that hybrid vigour and wasting no time with any problem plants or runts. Time flies, we have arrived in a flash at day 16, it seems like the other day that the first young ladies were appearing on September 1st. "Do you remember.....nanannana Septermber" She is Cosmic Noodles, a brand new strain from Zamnesia, so with little feedback but lots of expectations that we are here trying to make come true. In this case we are succeeding greatly, the plants are very pretty, one specimen is really gorgeous and super advanced for only being on day 16. The plant is at low/medium internodal distance and develops a very beautiful structure and leaves. We are very very very slightly under fertilization, I am trying to be perfect for the Zamnesia elves and I try to notice, whip myself and fix every mistake, even the smallest one. In this case we are a little under fertilization, in fact the plant is perfect, only that I went easy with the Grow to avoid over instead the Plagron tables, especially if created to measure, are very effective, follow them and you will not have problems. --- feeding program - As I mentioned I was shy about fertilizing and the seedlings are slightly, very slightly faded, let's learn to notice these small signs and with normal doses after two or three waterings we should be fine. kind of a dud It might be a dwarf gene or it might be harder to grow than I has the ability to I have 5 seeds left I will try these again and see if I have the skills to get a better yield out of them.

Tonight on growfessor theatre, 4x4 edition, 4 ladies get fed and defoliated! Green Crack, LSD and Mandarin dreams are in the home stretch, this is their last feeding before flushing. Photos taken on day 56 of flowering (last day of week 8 of flowering) We are entering the last week as planned. Today is day 57 of flowering, day 50 for the London Pound Cake X Zoap. Since last week, all the plants have gained a lot more trichomes. Nasha's Fat Freddy's Cat is becoming more and more purple, Mimosa X Orange Punch is becoming more and more peachy and London Pound Cake X Zoap is turning a light shade of pink. Meanwhile, the larger leaves around the tubers are already curling with resin and the smell in the tent is very intense. Only water is used. Some plants have an incredible resin production and some flowers are still swelling, which can be seen in the light green areas of the otherwise dark flowers. Some plants look more mature than others, but that's the way it is when you use seeds. Temperature is still around 25 degrees during the day and around 19 at night. One Fat Freddy's Cat plant has developed an 'albino tip', which according to my information it can be genetic, for example when plants are backcrossed for recessive traits and can be due to environmental factors such as growing too close to a powerful lamp, which is also the case here. However, only this one plant has this trait and it is only particularly pronounced on one tip and less pronounced on another.

Day 14. Bent her over with pipe cleaners as usual. Day 16. Removed 1 leaf to expose bud sites. Continuing LST. Day 18. Long and lean compared to the other strains I'm running. Makes for easy training.

Smelling great growing faster by the day

Today was plant care day -defoliation of all plants -huge watering 4L ( usually only 2L) -general check up / applied some more LST for better air flow The LSD has such a nice smell with some of the most beautiful purple buds i’ve grown yet! Atm my favourite at the tent

These girls are looking so amazing for the most part , on the other hand we got a lil bit of a deficiency on one of the Dirtyblondes, hopefully it’s not too much to worry about so probably gonna go ahead an start flush on the 2 Dirtyblondes and one of the pre98 s this weekend cause they are looking pretty close to being done, hopefully they should be fine! The flowers are smelling great and just fattening, chopped a branch of LSD off the bottom and quick dried it in my food dehydrator at 165* for 45 mins then flip the nug and 45 more minutes, gives you a bowl ready nug that burns smooth and tastes great. For emergency use only though I'm sure it's not great for the material lol.

Zu viel Regen zu wenig Sonne. Aber die Ladys schlagen sich tapfer. Ich hoffe es wird jetz mal wieder trockener. Ein wenig Schimmel gab es. Aber nicht der Rede wert. Für's Wetter können sie nix. Ein paar Blüten die ich zum Probieren herunter genommen habe sind schön dick und klebrig. Jetzt kann ich langsam anfangen die Trichome zu monitoren.
