Eternity Grow Cup - Week 11 VEG Report This is a pivotal week in our Eternity Grow Cup journey as we wrap up VEG and prepare to transition into FLOWER. Our goal has been to ensure that the plants are thriving and optimized for the next phase. This report will detail everything that took place during this crucial week. Mass Defoliation & Structural Training We began the week with an extensive defoliation session. Every leaf with a stem was removed to clear space for optimal light penetration and airflow. This process was done mostly by hand, clicking them off in the opposite direction of growth, while some stubborn ones were snipped with scissors. By the end, it felt like we had taken out nearly half a kilo of leaves! The room now looks clean, structured, and ready to fill out the ScroggNet. To further enhance the plant structure, branches were attached to the pots, allowing for better horizontal growth. This technique helps maximize canopy exposure and prepares the plants for even light distribution once flowering begins. Defoliation before flowering is a key step as it reduces overcrowding, improves airflow, and sets the plants up for efficient energy use in the next phase. Light Schedule & Adjustments This week, we introduced a subtle but effective light adjustment. While still maintaining an 18-hour light cycle, we initiated a 15-minute delay with the whites, allowing the reds to start first. This gradual shift signals the plants that a change is coming. Similarly, at the end of the light cycle, the whites turn off 15 minutes earlier, leaving the reds on for an extended period. This strategy mimics natural sunrise and sunset, helping the plants transition more smoothly into flowering. Additionally, at the end of the week, we will be implementing 48 hours of darkness before the official flip to flower. This method has worked exceptionally well in past grows, helping plants recognize the transition and encouraging a strong start to flowering. However, it's important to emphasize that this is a personal technique and not a universal rule. Every grower should experiment with different methods to find what works best for their specific environment. Environmental Conditions & Challenges Currently, our temperature is at 27°C with 60% humidity, resulting in a VPD of 1.50. While slightly higher than the ideal for VEG, our CO2 levels are over 1000 ppm, and the light intensity is at 570 PPFD, making it a manageable balance. The solution pH is 5.79 (essentially 5.8), EC is 1.38, and water temperature is 17.7°C. One challenge we are facing is maintaining optimal reservoir temperatures. Currently, it's a bit low at 17.7°C, and we are exploring solutions to raise it slightly. However, the medium temperature sits at 22.2°C, which is a good range. The humidifier is still in use, though it struggles to increase humidity further, so we are working with what we have to keep the VPD in check. ICL-300s Integration The ICL-300 lights are now fully active. Unlike the last grow, where we introduced them later, this time they are on from the start of flowering prep. This adjustment is an experiment to see if the plants respond better to an early introduction. Learning is at the core of this journey, and each grow offers new insights. Whether this proves to be the optimal strategy or not, it will be a valuable lesson for future grows. Ab geht es in die nächste Woche. Die Ladys wurden am Montag mit BioBizz nach Düngschema gedüngt, zusätzlich habe ich der CalMag Lady Eierschallen im Wasser eingekocht und dieses als Gießwasser benutzt. Der CalMag Lady wurden alle beschädigten Blätter entfernt. Bei den großen Ladys habe ich die gelbem vertrockneten Blätter entfernt, die anderen gelben wo noch etwas grün zu sehen war habe ich dran gelassen um sie nicht zu sehr zu stressen. Desweiteren habe ich den Lampenabstand um 5cm erhöht da sich einige spitzen der Blätter oberhalb braun gefärbt haben. (Vorsichtsmaßnahmen) Der CalMag Lady wurden Heute (Sonntag 26.05) nochmals alle beschädigten Blätter entfernt. Es ist interessant zu sehen das Größtenteils die Neuen Sonnenwedel betroffen sind. Aber auch sie fängt an sich deutliche Stigmen zu produzieren und der typische Blüten Skretch fängt auch bei ihr an, mal sehen was noch aus ihr wird. Bei den beiden Großen Ladys hat sich nicht viel getan sie werfen nach und nach die unnötigen Blätter ab, wenn man von oben auf die Stigmen blickt kann man schon leichte Blüten Ansätze sehen. Ich vermute das im laufe der nächsten Woche die Blüten deutlich sichtbar werden. Lassen wir uns überraschen.

Well here goes nothing! Only one seed so this is do or die lol, but at least it looks quite healthy. Going to start it indoors until it sprouts, it's only 45°F for a high during the day and 29°F for a low at night so there's no way to get her outside today. I have a 10ft x 10ft pop up greenhouse that I plan to have functional by the weekend. Update*- Smoothie sprouted on 4/22 yesterday and is looking like a healthy girl. So stoked!

pineapple kush is doing good she reacted well to being tied down and bushed straight back up gave her a good defoliation and had to tie her down more and bend a few tops over will be no more silicon used and will be adding buddy next week thanks for reading happy growing guys

Feeling kind of anxious. I mean for starting a new grow. This ones were an ok first coco grow. I think the next one gonna be better. Tho the plants are great. Totally frosted, lots of popcorn but some good buds too. Smell is getting intense. I’ll start flushing this week and next one we chopp em.

so this was the last week before harvest.. i intended to cut her down christmas day but decided to put her in 2 days of darkness before the chop.. she is now harvested an sat for a few days be4 entering jars for a curing.. the smell and these nugs is so yummi 😅

Videos were taken on day 37 of flower. The mac x peanut butter breath plants are looking great ones in the back left and ones in the back middle towards the right side. They have more orange pistils at this point than all the other plants and are packing on the frost. I gave all the plants just plain water with herculean harvest, enzymes and humic acids last feed and flushed it a little but and it seemed to respond well. The rocstar breaths are frosty too and smell gassy. Also, I just checked some of my DMs on here and theres alot that I've never responded to, I dont check them unless it's from a business. I put in a few diaries a while ago if anyone has any questions for me to ask them in the comment section or a journal that way people with the same or similar questions can see it and I dont have to answer the same thing 8 times. I'm happy to answer any questions about my grows and shit just try to ask them in the comments✌️

Supercropped one tall branch of the Red Mandarine #2. Hope it doesn't hurt the yields. Plants have been recovering and are mostly green now. There's some serious stretch going on in this tent! Flowering is happening really quick especially with the Mandarines. I moved the lights after I discovered a lux meter app. I had as low as 10,000 in some places, so not only are the lights closer to the canopy but I angled them to get more light down to the shorter plants. Just reset the clone fridge and they were all looking healthy except two which I didn't put enough water in.
