Alright! 100% germination rate across the board on these beans! Every seed we sowed is now up and at em. That's already a good sign for new genetics. Well they're new to me anyway, who knows how long they've been overseas doing their thing. These could be some diamonds in the ruff, ya never know!!! Same here though as with the auto flowers we're going to see which strain performs best and then enter her into the competition....or if they're both hitting, we'll enter them both and see if we can take home a win! So for the photoperiod plants we're doing the Athena blended line in Promix soil. It's my first time using this line but they sent me it to try out so I'm going to see what's up. The auto flowers are going to be mainly organic and maybe a little mix of synthetic in bloom, if needed. That's the plan for some beautiful flowers. Let's Grow!!

I figured nothing could go wrong with 50% amber / 50% milky trichomes. Harvest day, Medical Mass: Huge buds and no traumas but got bud rot because of too high temps. The best I've ever smoked. Harvest day, Pineapplex Express: Got an early trauma when transplanting but handled it beautifully. Potent smoke. Pretty satisfied for a first grow, and I have a lot of changes for my 2nd grow!

overall girls are doing good it seems like the small one has stopped gaining mass and converted all energy to the trichomes the bigger one is gaining bigger and bigger.. so great times!

The trichomes are starting to make themselves known On this one, also the smell is becoming a citrus like aroma which is one of my favorites, also No signs of deficiencies or anything yet so I hope it stays that way.

Background: This is a small grow in a 20" x 36"x 63" tent. Growing 2 sour diesel from seed in coco/perlite medium using General Hydroponic nutrients and primarily following feeding schedule as listed here http://gh.growgh.com/docs/Feedcharts/GH_FloraSeries-DTW_03216am.pdf . I'll be substituting "h3ad formula," i.e. 6 ml GH FloraMicro : 9 ml GH FloraBloom per gallon, for the first 3 rows in the pdf and also be skipping Diamond Nectar, FloraBlend, and FloraNectar. See pic above for nutrient list. Note: Second time attempting to grow this strain. Bud rot destroyed majority of previous grow so this is a redemption grow, hopefully. Lesson learned from previous failure - two circulation fans do not counter high humidity especially for the big buds over 3" wide. On chop day, after vegging for 3 months and flowering for 100 days, the insides of the buds closest to the stems were full of white cotton candy. Couldn't spot it from the outside at all. So lesson learned, and this time end of flower will coincide with low-humidity winter as opposed to the summer. Week 1 - Nutrient regimen: 6 ml GH FloraMicro + 9 ml GH FloraBloom per gallon. Used at 1/3 strength diluted with dechlorinated water. Solution ph'd to 5.8. 9/5/2019 (V1) - Sprouted yesterday and moved under 273 watts of vero 29 LED today, dimmed to lowest setting. Used rapid rooters for germination but would have preferred peat pellets since they stay can stay upright without support. 9/10/2019 (V6) - Fungus gnat larvae infestation! Transplanted to solo cups on 9/6 (V2) using ready mix bag of coco and perlite. Using 1/3 strength "h3ad formula" for first week and fed every other day. Growth appears stunted compared to previous grows and stems needed additional support to stay upright with circulation fan on. Feeding until runoff showed major infestation (see video #1). Can only guess coco mix bag was contaminated, since no adult gnats are visible in tent and yellow sticky card is empty. This has got to be my record for early fuckups! Attempting to treat with neem extract mix (dosed used 5 ml neem oil extract : 500 ml water) and a layer of diatomaceous earth on top (see V6 pic). Hopefully this treatment is better than not doing anything and letting those squirmy baby bastards take over. For a plant this young and without adequate root support this is a gamble. Also bumped up light a bit to 13000 lux as read on Light Meter v3.1 app by Trajkovski Labs using Samsung S6.

Fo' Twenny here back with another update! I will be updating and uploading more photos through out the week. I hope you'll ride along and give me a follow! The deets: Feeding with .2 ml/gal of RapidStart and .2 ml/gal of SuperThrive, Adjusted pH to 6.5 and then add .25 tsp of recharge. 8/16 - 8 days post sow. All but 2 seeds have sprouted. I was especially concerned for the Melon Gum because I only had a 2 pack and both beans were quite pale. I gently dug around in the peat pellets and found the bean with a fresh, healthy tap root! I expect she should be popping up by tomorrow evening. The other bean yet to pop is the Jenny Kush. I was gifted 5 Jenny Kush seeds, and I will wait until tomorrow to see if she sprouts a tap root before popping another one. Hopefully, I will have more luck with the next one. Successful germination in 16 of 17 photoperiod seeds. With a total of 19 of 20 if you include the 3 autoflowering cultivars running along side. They're being documented in separate diaries and will stay in the veg tent when the photoperiods are moved into the bloom room. Go check 'em out! 8/20 Update: Melon Gum has sprouted. If you're not following my Zkittlez Auto diary, you missed that I almost killed this girl on accident. Graceful me, knocked over her solo cup and she got stuck to a sticky trap. Her stem split in half and I put a piece fabric medical tape to mend her and she is actually growing and doing well regardless of her injuries. All the girls, except Jenny have sprouted and are developing. I planted a new Jenny seed 8/18 and left the original in too, just in case. After overfeeding the plants in the past, I've been feeding not enough, lateley. Plant #1 shows nutrient deficiencies. after giving more nutrients, plant #1 seems to recover. The build up of flowers is amasing. The flowers smell really sweet.😀

I Have changed the light cycle on December 22nd to 12 hs on and 12hs off which marks the start of the Flowering stage! So let's see how this lady develops and hoping for a beautiful stretch!

Big resinous and compact buds, strong smell of the tent its elongated stems are the buds on top getting fatter every week I hope to be surprised with this girl her looks are beautiful great coloring and leaves to go where I need to let her gain more weight and the amber colors are necessary in trichomes, feeding well and requiring more water than the others, even without pure water 😚

D18 - Today was the first day in week three of veg, and it was time for transplanting the girl into her final pot. All I did was get her out of her cup, sprinkle some mycorhizal inoculant on her roots, and then plant her back into the pot. Finally, I gave her around 1.2-liters of water @ pH 6.4 to reduce transplant shock. D20 - Not much to report, but she is looking happy after the transplant. I gave her about 0.6-liters of water @ pH 6.5 just because I had some over from watering the Colorado Cookies girl. Overwatering a single time should be fine. D22 - She is loving her new home, looking vibrant and healthy. I cut down the cover crop as it was getting a bit unruly. D23 - I opened the tent today and realized I forgot to fill up the humidifier last night. The RH in the tent was only 29%. Oops! I gave the girl about one liter of compost tea that I started brewing yesterday. 24 - The end of the third week of veg and she is loving life after her transplant. She is 9 cm tall and 13 cm across and has grown sturdy enough to start LST next week.
