Eternity Grow Cup - Week 9 Veg Update We are stepping into Week 9 of vegetation, and things are getting exciting! The plants are thriving—compact, bushy, and growing beautifully. This week, we introduced a SCROG (Screen of Green) net, an essential tool for maximizing yield and optimizing plant structure. Let’s dive deep into the why and how of scrogging: Why Install a SCROG Net Now? Maximizes Light Exposure: The net allows even light distribution across all branches, ensuring every bud site gets the optimal amount of light. Controls Plant Height: By guiding the branches through the net, we keep the canopy even and prevent excessive vertical growth. Enhances Airflow & Reduces Mold Risks: Spreading the plant out increases air circulation, reducing humidity pockets and minimizing risks of mold and pests. Increases Yield: More bud sites exposed to light mean higher-quality flowers and greater overall production. For now, we’re still not using the under-canopy lights, though they will come into play soon. The ICL 300 is positioned strategically, and we will likely move them around as needed later. For now, the focus is on structuring the plants and ensuring they fill out the available space properly. Optimizing Airflow - The Vortex Effect Air circulation is crucial for plant health, and this week, we’ve optimized airflow by positioning the fans to create a vortex effect: Fan Positioning: Each fan is placed at the tent corners, pointing in different directions, ensuring dynamic airflow instead of direct wind hitting the plants. Benefits of a Vortex System: Reduces hot spots and evenly distributes CO₂. Strengthens stems by creating a natural resistance. Prevents stagnant air, reducing mold and pest risks. The extraction system is powered by an AeroFan, connected to the AeroFan Smart Remote FRC1, currently running at 60% speed. This setup efficiently manages humidity and temperature while maintaining optimal air exchange. Current Environmental Conditions & Feeding For now, we’re maintaining the same water schedule and nutrient regimen. The environmental conditions remain stable: Temperature: Holding steady at ideal growth levels. Relative Humidity: Balanced to encourage healthy transpiration. PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density): Kept at optimal levels to support vigorous vegetative growth. CO₂ Levels: Elevated but within safe limits, promoting faster growth. The plants are filling the space beautifully, but we know that the flip to flower is approaching soon! The next phase will depend on how fast they continue to spread, and adjustments will be made accordingly. Closing Thoughts & What’s Next? Growth is amazing and the girls already need to be transplanted into their final 5 gallon pots. Transplanting went well, I could have waited another week and I think it would have been better. Anastasia is having issues with the main stem growing straight so I added supports to encourage straight growth. Drizella is too but not as severe. During the transplant process. I also sprinkled Great White Mycorrhizae on the roots for better root health and to reduce transplant stress. Nutrients still hand watering every other day to run off. 5.8 ph / 1.63 ec / 74.7 degrees I reconditioned my coco coir from my first grow that was originally 1 bag of royal gold tupur blend which I believe produced some nats due to the forest material mixed in with the coco coir. This one original bag was enough to fill two 3 gallon pots and transplant them into two 5 gallon pots with a little left to spare. I hand cleaned that first grow medium to remove all large root debris and then rinsed it thoroughly in Ro only water before letting it dry for several weeks leading up to this current transplant. I then soaked it in a solution of Sensizym and calMag to break down any remaining dead roots into nutrients while ensuring the medium is still well buffered. The girls were started in the 3 gallon pots using a new bag of roots organics brand 70/30 coco coir/perlite. That medium had to be buffered well with calMag to avoid common Calcium and Magnesium deficiency that surface due to coco coirs ability to soak it up and steal it from the plant. This was a leason learned from my first grow that resulted in several foliage feedings to adjust for. I was able to recycle a great deal of coco coir from my first grow which provided me enough to bump this grow up to three plants from two. So I used the recycled coco as the base and most of the back fill in all thee 5 gallon pots. I did have to use a little extra of the 70/30 to top everything off properly. I still have a 1/4 of a bag of the 70/30 left dor future grows.

Week 8 Vegetation Report – Eternity Grow Cup Welcome back, everyone! We’re diving into another exciting update for our Eternity Grow Cup journey. This week marks week 8 of vegetation, and our girls are thriving! Let’s break it down: Growth & Structure All five phenos continue to impress, with strong, bushy growth and uniform structure across the board. They’re praying to the ThinGrowLED Model Ones, which have been running on channel one only, and they’re absolutely loving it. The leaf development is lush and vibrant, a sign that they’re thriving under the current conditions. Environmental Conditions We’re keeping things dialed in with stable environmental parameters: Temperature: 20.7°C Humidity: 57.2% CO2 Levels: 1569 PPM (a bit high but manageable) VPD: 1.05 kPa PPFD: 355 µmol/m²/s Each of these factors plays a crucial role in maximizing plant efficiency, and we’ll go deeper into why these values are set as they are. Featured Grow Gear – WCS2 Substrate Sensor This week, we’re also highlighting part of the grow gear in use—specifically, the WCS2 substrate sensor. This sensor measures: Soil temperature EC levels Water moisture It's currently placed in the Autopots, which are not yet connected. For now, we’re still top-feeding to encourage root expansion. By allowing the roots to reach the bottom of the pots before activating the Autopot system, we ensure they establish a strong foundation for optimal nutrient uptake. We’ll go deeper into this method and why it’s an essential step in the process.
