Week 12 Flower 8 Pink Rozay This week was all about checking trichomes. Pink Rozay trichomes show mostly milk and amber. There are a few heads that are dark brown that indicate too late to harvest. The older pistils are turning orange brown and water consumption is slowing down. These and the trichome indicators indicate readiness. Based on this, I put Pink Rozay in the cool garage with low light and ice on top of the pot at night this week. Intense tropical rain all week so no chance of watering any feed in. Instead I used granular 15-15-15 and she perked right up 😊.. Seen predatory mites (black round bugs) on the plant now and it also appears I have less spidermites which is awesome. I have been brushing them off every morning/evening for months now so nice to finally get some help!

09/10/2023 - Day 98 - Week 15 - Week 10 flower She's ready. Last update. Stunning smell, colors, size and everything.

Very strong plant with a taste similar to wine. Extremely potent and very resinous. The smell and firmness of the flower are fantastic.

Cant wait end of Stretch. Slowly running Out of space. So far looking OK to me.

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. What a journey this has been. This girl weighs(dry) 263grams plus 23 grams(untrimmed lower nugs) could have pulled out 350g if let her veg a bit longer. The taste is like sweet candy and soda a hint of citrus. The effects are as follows, creative, giggles and energetic but once its nearly gone out. You will feel really sleepy and when you wake up you will feel really hungry. Anyways, thank you guys who have been following my journey. Next grow will be seeds from Sunkentreasure seeds

This guy is one of the easiest I have ever grown, barely needing any water or nutrients, but he us just spreading out great. Should have a few nice little colas. I know what this light can produce, so anything near an ounce would be phenomenal. Peaceout Mosuckas

The seedlings responded really well to Root Juice from Biobizz,. Potted them all on day 5, and kept them under a 600w.led vegging light (Cobb Cree 3000w Led by Philizon) Days 1-6 Not much happening on the surface, miniature differences with each one, but been autos right now the seedlings will be rooting. Environment. Light cycle is now 19 on 5 off. Using the Philizon cob Cree 3000w full spectrum veg light. Light suspended 32" of the lip of the pot practically the top of the seedlings, I could have got it lower but I can't imagine much difference vegging. Night Temperature were previously between 19.5c to 23c. Temperature has been slightly altered to 22.4c to 25.6 following some guidance I read on; https://www.royalqueenseeds.com/blog-indoor-cannabis-growing-relative-humidity-and-temperatures-n243. Set up is currently been regulated by Inkbird climate remote heat n cooling. 1500w oil radiator ;) set at 900w 26/27c 22.02.20- Slight change to air exchange set for every 14 mins previously cycling every 40 to 43 mins( radiator was set too low, higher power temp, more responsive to temp changes.) This enables the radiator oil to reach its heat n switch off it's internal thermostat at the device, not the controller. I found I was able to continue radiating a couple of air cycles, before finally dropping below 25.7 which then triggers the radiator to kick in as it's been able to cool off for nearly 26mins) Temp cycle Set 27c Fan activates 27.5 stops at 27 but temp drops 1.5 Heater (controlled by Inkbird climate controller) activates 26.c stops at 27.c takes a further 6 mins to climb +.6c & then fans kicks in. Take 14 mins for cycle.
