Saw a big jump in bud size this week.

Added yellow sticky fly traps to all cubes as a preventative measure to avoid infestation of fungus gnats. So far none have been spotted. Defoliated and did a little more LST to all the plants to open up the center and give more light to lower shoots. Blue Dream 3 and Chemdawg 3 started showing some discoloration on the leaves (yellowing around the veins) and also the leaf tips curling down. Did some research and came up with this... Possible diagnosis: - Yellowing around leaf veins could be a sign of Magnesium or Iron deficiency - Leaf tip curling down could be a sign of Nitrogen Toxicity. - Both could be caused by improper ph balance in water Possible solutions: - Applied Botanicare CalMag+ as a foliar feed and added some to the reservoir. CalMag+ contains Calcium, Magnesium and Iron. - Diluted nutrients in reservoir to lower amount of nitrogen being fed to plants. Was feeding them at 1300ppm, lowered it to 1050ppm - Tested runoff and saw it was coming out at 5.4pH so I increased the pH in the reservoir to 6.0. Now the runnoff is testing at 5.7pH, meaning that my rootzone is in the optimal range of 5.5-5.8 Well wait and see how the plants react to these slight tweaks. Hopefully we start to see a nice healthy even green again.

The situation is starting to get super interesting also for our photoperiodic Zamnesia, we have new and very different strains that are expressing themselves very well, Karen Kush, Test 1, Test 2, Cosmic Noodles and Runtz are already making my mouth water, it is the grass that I will be consuming during the magical Christmas and end of year periods, it must be done well to give nice trips to me and those who are with me. The buds on WW#1 are packing on weight, the heartiness of these plants amazes me, I feel it must be the great genetics from Dinafem and RQS because it’s certainly not my skills as a grower. I think I’m nute burning the buds a tiny tiny bit, I’m currently doing a 3:2:1 ratio of the florabloom series 2-3 times a day till run off. Going to slightly lower the amount of nutes and see where that leads me. The smell coming off the two strains is incrediblely distinct and delicious smelling, I find myself standing in front of the plants wafting the air towards me. My carbon filter seems to not be working very well, although I’m not really complaining as stealth isn’t an issue for me, I’d wear this as a cologne... lmao End of week comment: things are well. No major major issues. WW1 nugs are massive and sticky, extremely dense. Lower buds are super lose, probably due to the looming beer bottle nugs above them blocking light. No idea when to harvest though- if anyone has any advice I’d appreciate it. I literally cannot tell the difference between trichomes with my 40x loupe. They all seem clear to me. Maybe some cloudy ones.

Topped the plant—- I have a seed popping out of the soil! Not sure what that could be… Just water so far, but I have to water so much more frequent!

This is the last week of flowering in the next couple days I will begin chopping. I cut the blue dream and the Dinafem amnesia cbd auto flowers today since they finished first. Stay tuned for the harvest and weigh in.

day 0 - gave this seed a dark place in my room to germinate and also used a little Ph down to get from 7,5 down to 6. 230PPM after about 17 hours of soaking in the glass i gave the seed into a jiffy. day 1 - because i had still 2 more of those seeds i think its better to just use them now and germinate them all together and then choose the strongest for myself. thats why we are at day 1. i just need one of them to germinate right now and the seeds are already 3 years old. i think one or maybe even 2 might not germinate because i just stored them in room temperature. we will see! day 5 - the seed wich has beed touching water 22 hours early has now shown his first sings of life above the soil, so i am trusting into the other 2 that they might also still follow so i can share a plant :) day 6 - she has a sister! she has grown 2cm+ and the seed has been stuck in the jiffy so everything perfect for the first one. day 7 - the seedling on the right is now also not growing only inside the soil anymore. the third seed was sadly a fail but i am happy with 2/3 after wrong storage.

I put 318 grams of wet bud into my dry tent, my target variables are 60F/60RH for 2 week, with the current temps and high out side humidity we are averaging 66F/58%RH so not to far off - these buds will probably be done at 10 days - looking forward to updating this as harvest report when I trim up.

Days 92 - 98 (from sprout) 8/23/24 - 8/29/24 Loompa's Headband x TK fading hard this week - checking trichome color through a 15x loupe, needs more time The Good Shit drinking a gallon of water a day but slowly backed off near end of week - my guess would be a 14-week flowering period for this genotype before harvest quality I'm pretty much watering daily a 1/4 gallon to Blue Nose Pit or less to keep mulch layer from drying out Sweet 16 S1 takes the win for most trichome coverage out of the garden, has the most up-front aroma out of the geno hunt PAR is all over the place on this one and totally messed up, after this week I'll raise the light and focus on the appropriate PAR for canopy of The Good Shit Pest Management slipping too, fungus gnats are repopulating and it seems the ecosystem has encountered a serious imbalance of beneficials and predators that normally kept soil/mulch in-check Plan on short-term remedying this with a top-dress of remaining compost + em bokashi and a moderate drench of EM5 following with repeated treatments of enzymes (tweetmint) Long term solution may need a predator/beneficials kit and/or higher quality vermicompost after knocking them back with enzymes

Plants 1 & 3 are doing good. #1 is a beast so far. I will probably start flushing plant #3 here soon, she got stunted and I don’t think she’s really packing on weight anymore. So part of plant #2 was dry enough for jars after 5 days. Dry trimmed about an 38g. Still have about 2-3x as much left to trim. I think I’ll wet trim the other two it seems way harder to dry trim. I’ll have a total dry weight for plant #2 tomorrow.

Buds are packing on weight pretty good for only being at the end of week 3. I think these buds have potential to get some good size to them by the end of flowering period. I noticed a few days ago my timer stopped working, lights were stuck on. Looks like there's no ill effects yet though despite worrying about them revegging if they were left on for too long. Noticed leaf tips are all nute burned so they are at their maximum for ppm as far as nutrient uptake is concerned. Going to back the ppm off by 250 in the next feeds and continue to observe the leaf tips. Plants are still recovering from a nute lockout that caused a mg deficiency and took away a lot of bottom growth from all 4 plants. Ph is back on track and plants are growing rapidly again.
