Another week done, finished up week 6 of flowering, week 10 of the whole grow. The buds are continuing to fatten up, inching closer and closer to harvest. Noticed the first few Amber tricombs on some of the upper buds, going to be leaning off the big bud and switching to overdrive to help aid in ripening and the final bulk. I’d like the run them another 4 weeks giving them a full 9-10 weeks in flower. But will judge harvest on a near 45/55 or 50/50, Cloudy/amber tricomb production.

For the past month, the humidifier has been an issue putting out way too much humidity; often leaving water in the bottom of the tent. In addition, the temperatures are also out of control. I added an AC last week to keep the temperature below 80. I finally determined the exhaust vent is also broken and has been for some time. AC Infinity does not extend the warranty to the replacement parts. I guess that makes sense since they would be in a state of perpetual free replacements. I bought a new one from Amazon that came with a new controller which is different from the controller 69 currently using. I decided that while it is very inconvenient and inefficient to monitor the tent through the day, I would rather finish this Frostbanger run without introducing a new unknown variable. I will continue using 3 circulating fans, the 4” exhaust vent from my 3x3. I have the AC pushing air in and the exhaust pulling air out. This creates a neutral pressure tent environment-neither positive nor negative. It looks like growth has stopped and plant height has been reached. Now is the time for buds to fatten and frost up. All 6 of them are short remaining less than 3 ft. They range from 15 to 31 inches. #4, 5 &6 are showing some fade, particularly #4. Upon opening the tent, a melon smell comes off the buds if I get close, and more stickiness was observed during the process of defoliation. Good thing about this final stretch is that the bud sites are growing along with the stretch. Glad I stopped giving her grow nutes or else she could be stretching even more. Every 10 days or so I feed them with only water and enzymes to help out with the roots. Funky smell is starting to come out. Isn't that strong yet but it's nice. OG Kush type of smell. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob das eine gute Idee ist zu Beginn der Vorblüte, habe aber Sorge, dass ich in ein paar Wochen Probleme bekomme mit der Wasserversorgung und dem Stickstoff. New week, new growth.. Will hopefully start the LST and Topping in a few days. They are really starting to grow. Fan leaves looking healthy and big. Girls coming with vigorous growth now, everything dialled in and happy. Just adjusting the EC/pH as needed when the girls show me the relevant signs/deficiencies if any. D31/D35- Decided they were in a good enough place to start topping the girls, all 6 topped and just some defoliation of the bigger fan leaves that are shading the growth shoots some HST was also done. We were also due a water change, so I cleaned the whole system just to keep things extra cleanly, very important in a RDWC system. I also switched over to a sterile system instead of using beneficial bacteria so I will experiment and see how this goes. Time to let the girls ecover before the next training session. Cruise control for now.

Dutch Passion Shaman Eine aufregende und intensive Woche liegt hinter uns! Lange lasse ich die beiden nicht mehr stehen, Nebeltau und sehr hohe Luftfeuchte haben beiden Pflanzen etwas zugesetzt. Das tägliche Absuchen ist nun unerlässlich, ich finde regelmäßig neue Stellen an Blütenstielen, die sich im späteren Verlauf zu Fäulnis entwickeln würden. Die betroffenen Stellen befinden sich dort, wo ich während der Regenperiode entlaubt habe. So habe ich den Verdacht, dass ich die Blätter zu nahe am Stiel geschnitten habe. Denn dort, wo etwas mehr Blattstiel stehen blieb, sind die Stengel weiterhin gesund. Insgesamt empfinde ich die beiden als sehr robust und widerstandsfähig, vor allem wenn man bedenkt, dass dieser Sommer und Herbst immer wieder feucht bis nass war. Dennoch sollte man in dieser letzten Phase wachsam bleiben und die Pflanzen wirklich gründlich absuchen. So blieb der Verlust durch Blütenfäule sehr gering. Mit Hilfe einer Taschenlampe zum Ausleuchten von schattigen Bereichen, etwas Aufmerksamkeit und Liebe zu den schönen Pflanzen, werde ich ein sehr zufrieden stellendes Ergebnis in der Trockenkammer aufhängen können. Der Duft der beiden Shamaninnen hat sich intensiviert. Sie sind noch einmal deutlich frostiger geworden und schön ölig-harzig. Nachdem ich bereits Probeblüten getrocknet und vaporisiert habe, sowie mehrmals einen starken Cannabistee aus den Blüten gebrüht und getrunken habe, bin ich mir sicher, dass ich nun jederzeit beruhigt ernten und eine ausgewogene Wirkung erwarten kann. Es ist ein klares aktivierende Sativa High, dass mich fröhlich und kommunikativ stimmt aber nie laut wird, selbst bei sehr hoher Dosierung im Tee. Die Wirkung setzt jeweils langsam ein. Definitely one of the taller ones out of the 12. I need a few good daytime strains with energy & no anxious paranoia. I'm working on finding more of them for daytime motivation.

Another week done. Hard to see progress day to day but just looking back at photos it's easy to see her moving along. It's my weekly ritual, photo, measure, smoke then update diary! So... She is still getting 1.5L each time i feed or water every 2 to 3 days. Increased the bloom nutrients further and decreased the grow to minimal. Removed a few leaves blocking sites again. Also a couple poking into the fans. As for lst, i slighty tweaked the 4 middle stems. The rest would snap with any bending below the top 40mm. Temperature spiked to 34 degrees in the tent for a few hours today but luckiky was watered last night. I think that helped her through those tough times. If she was almost dry and then had those temps i think she would be a bit annoyed! I was helping my brother move house and was a sweaty mess! Bet she was too and definitely appreciated my lights out being 1pm til 5pm. If it happens again and im home i will treat her to some ice packs by the intake again. :D All seems good overall. Can't really complain about anything. Last week i mentioned how she didnt smell. She did smell if you rubbed her trichomes and smelt your fingers. But just putting your nose to her was only a plant smell. Now, she has just started to have a smell of weed. I have a water pump and another timer to water her while i am away. All tested and after a bit of playing around i can feed 1.5L in 1 min :D On to another week that i am as excited for as the last.
