Day 2; 48 hrs the Blackberry Moonrocks seed's root was long enough to go into soil today. I use Happy Frog soil for seedlings. The soil cup will stay on the heat mat insuring the temp is kept at 75°F. Day1; 24 hrs and the Blackberry Moonrocks has a visible tap root. I'll wait a little longer before putting it in soil. I like to see the root about a quarter inch before planting. Day 0; germination, paper towel method.

Hi, thank your for visiting my diary, more info on my setup, soil and situation in: Germination... So been doin the whole Sherlock thing with the magnifier and nope.... no trichomes amber yet.... My magnifier is just not strong enough and apparently my eyesight is bollocks or my arms are too short... On the images ( I also have onset parkinsons as it seems, thus I used a tripod and low and behold: a stillshot) the trichomes are visible. Now I have the problem that I have to go for a week in a week. Im not leaving all on (mainly no control over smell and some distrust in my own handywork compiling these lights) when Im gone. So these ladies have to hurry up now. The other problem is the cure... I have no way to monitor temps and RH when Im away so Im gonna have to find a sitter for my babies or just cut them preprime or they magically make amber overnight.... I hoped, since they were racing to the finish, that I would be in time.... So maybe we pack an extra tent for our vacation... My growtent... I have been flushing for two weeks, still the leaves and plants are vigorous and lively. Some yellowing pointy bits but too minimal.... Temsp outdoor have been higher but stable, temps in the tent never over 26.8 degrees. Humidity has been dropping last days which I hoped for. Anyone any experience with building a climate chamber for curing? Or any on the market that will do? Please check my Zambeza 3 seed give away by guessing my final result! As an update: I took some tiny larf of a couple of days ago and totally forgot about it. Today out of weed, I found the dried remains in the jar I put it in and left it. No temp, no cue, no rh anything. So I get it out of the jar to find it smelling like weed, not even hay or grass but pungeant stinky weed. I start to crumble and find it is sticky, solid, and crumbles to nice bits that crumble even further. I light up and an amazing sweet and citrussy smell comes free, it is superstrong, although still more high obviously, and supertasty, without any cure. This promises even more for the rest of the bunch. This was some underside sad yellowish larf,not any density to it but smoked ten times better than my local, round the corner dispensary weed that I smoked later that day. Even Sunshine (my partner) was amazed with difference in smell. Update 24th july: I finally saw ambers yesterday and the fact me running out of time, made me decide to start the 48 hours of darkness. Tomorrow she/they will be cut down for drying and curing. I have a humidifier and can manage temps to be a bit colder to prolong first dry as long as possible. Coming friday I have to decide what to do: keep them hanging for a full week, whilst Im gone. Or start the jarcure if drying (since its very hot and dry here lately, this might be the case) is faster. I would have loved to give these ladies another week maybe two... They were still so healthy. But I cant control anything when Im not here and this could potentially destroy my harvest or get very smelly, this leaves me no choice for now... The trichs are now at +/- 15% to 20% rest is all milky with just some single clears on less developped lower buds... I allread know she is nice tasting and potent enough. As soon as we are at the final weight I will post the harvest and we choose the winner! Another update: closer inspection revealed that the plants a/ had still lot of underside larf and b/ lots of clear trichomes. As we are near the finish I rather give them another week of light. So Ive bent all the big buds downwards to protect them from the light. I might not be able to correct the cure, but its a shame not give them another week if I can. Some will be horrified with the damage but my reasoning is simple, the big buds are done or almost, the larf still can develop into bigger buds so a late harvest supercrop and lowered the lights to 35 cm for the final push. Habe sie getoppt ,sie ist noch in der Erholungsphase ihr Wachstum ist leicht gemindert ,was sich in den nächsten Tagen legen wird. Ihre seitentriebe treiben jetzt mehr aus,sobald die 2 neuen Haupttriebe wieder richtig aktiv Wachsen sie den Stress komplett überstanden hat. Wird sie in die Blüte geschickt der 18/6 Zyklus wird dann auf 12/12 gestellt. Ohne den Stress den sie jetzt hat würde sie ihr Geschlecht eigentlich schon zeigen, da jetzt Primär die Wundheilung im Vordergrund steht verschiebt sich dies ein bißchen. I topped her, she is still in the recovery phase, her growth is slightly reduced, which will subside in the next few days. Her side shoots are now sprouting more, as soon as the 2 new main shoots are growing actively again she has completely survived the stress. If she is sent into flowering the 18/6 cycle will then be changed to 12/12. Without the stress she has now, she would actually already be showing her sex,but now that the primary focus is on wound healing, this is being postponed a little. Smelling really nice

Buds are fattening up pretty well and I've had to use more rubber garden wire and clips to keep the branches from bending over. Smell is increasing on the Northern Light but still a mild skunk on the Black Devil. Also gave the very last feeding on the plants this week so they will get nothing but water until the chop. I'm very happy with the microbe populations so I stopped feeding the sugars (molasses/agave) as the plants themselves don't get much out of them; that stuff is just for feeding the soil beasties. I had added some predatory mites several weeks ago to deal with some springtails, and the mites annihilated the population. I did find a developing larva though so there are still some around. Posted lots of microscope videos today.

I am dropping Fast Buds tester FBT 2402 today to germinate. The seed was lightly scuffed on each end. I will be using Xpert Nutrients for the first time on this grow. I will also be using a Medic Grow Mini Sun-2. I really like to flush watering till lil run off 15 last days before harvest just to watch the fade green to yellow on the leaves! Tomorrow is the harvest! 75 days of flowering plus 48h dark so 77 days! I'm really proud of the ScrOG I made, did I said that? Moved to a 1000watt HPS, added 350 CFM exhaust fan, lights on at 4am- 10pm, air temp peeks at 3-4pm near 78-80F, Leaf surface temp 80-85, took plant about 23 hours after light switch to adjust (slowed growth seen in time lapse) everything is back to normal now the stretch is real. Smell is strong (no carbon filter) and I can smell it from the exhaust outside. Never used an HPS only LEDs.

Flowering day 63 since time change to 12/12 h. Hey everyone 😀. Both phenotypes continue to develop very nicely :-). The buds begin to ripen and smell very tasty 😍. The trichomes are 70% milky, 15% amber and 15% clear. As soon as the next 7-12 days are 70% milky and 30% amber, I will harvest. That's why I start flushing tomorrow 👍. It was watered twice this week with 1.2 l per watering per plant. The tent was cleaned and everything checked for health 👍. I really hope they get back on track with the new nutrient regime. 2/8/2021 - 4 seedlings transplanted to larger 3 x 3 inch rockwool cubes to allow the seedlings to establish its roots first before transplanting to the RDWC system. 6/8/2021 - 2 plants are relatively normal looking but the other 2 looks deformed. I'm quite unhappy with the seed performance thus far. Poor germination rate, inconsistent genetics and weird phenotype. I wonder where Weedseedexpress sourced the Harlequin seeds from.

Day 65, 14th of November 2020: Nice! Topping has stopped her to grow and strech too much which is good she is more chubby type strain so i expect some thickness lol.... Pre flowers and pistils are out so just waiting for the fruit lol ;) Really nice all good. Fertilization happens every 2nd day with the ratio and mix above. I set the lamp 15 minutes shorter to switch off earlier so she receives 11:45 of darkness. I would like to imitate the nature when longer nights come with time till the 4th week (when she will receive 13 hours darkness a day 15 minutes minus 4 times = 1hour) so every week 15 min longer darkness for 4 weeks and then back to 12/12 to have bigger buds from the 4th week....

Week 2 smooth sailing wish they can grow faster

The calmag deficiency has improved significantly and the plants are now putting all their energy into the flowers. In the meantime, no new eggs are forming, which makes us very happy :)
