End of Week 9 of Flower. I can just taste those buds now! The smell is intoxicating and the view is picturesque. There is definitely a noticeable difference between the two pheno's but I suspect both will pack a good punch. There has been some purpling in some of the top leaves which I expect will increase with the drop in temperature the last week or so. I cant wait to get some good pictures at the end of the week as Ive decided the chop day will be this coming Sunday. The clash of yellow, purple and green is always my favourite so I plan to capture as much as possible since the next update will be jam packed with pictures of the girls just before their chop and after 48 hours of darkness to get the last of that resin production from the plant. I will also take some pics of the hanging plants in the drying cupboard. The reason I am leaving my plants in darkness for 48 hours before they get chopped, is that it has been long belived that this practice will increase the last of the thrichome production and some say increases potency. There has been a recent study in the Netherlands which does confirm increased resin production for plants left in 48 hours of darkness (they also tested 24 hours darkness but found 48 was better) at the end of their flower cycle. The chop has been planned to be pretty straight forward where I will just be taking off the main fan leaves and leaves with no thrichomes as well as chopping off the larfy/popcorn buds which will go straight in the freezer for a fresh frozen bubble hash run. I dont bud wash my flower as my tent gets a regular clean each week and always gets a full deep clean when every harvest is over and besides, its only me and my friends that smoke it! The drying cupboard I use for drying is a small cupboard designed for storing and drying clothes which I have put a carbon filter and fan as well as a small desk fan to circulate the air as well as a small dehumidifier just incase there is an increase in humidity. So the basics of drying is that you want the area where you are drying to be dark and fairly cool (its recommended to be between 15 and 22 degrees C), have a humidity level between 45% and 55%. I aim for around 21 degrees C temperature and 50% humidity. The drying time can vary depending on strain but its recommended to dry the buds for 7 - 10 days and I will explain further about how to tell if your bud is done drying and is ready to be cured on the next post. Drying is very important as you can affect all your hard work if the conditions arent right and the bud ends up too dry (luckily these days there are ways to fix bud thats too dry) or you end up with mouldy ganja which isnt save to smoke. Its also believed that a good long dry in good conditions helps increase potency and also has been shown to reduce anxiety. This week I had to harvest the main cola of one plant (the trichomes were all white with some amber). Actually the plant didn’t appear ready at all, because the strain continued to produce white pistils. Results are 93 grams (before drying)

The babies are on day 13 and the fbt29 on day 52. The forgotten cookies was crippled for her 2 first leave sets but seems like she's grown out of it. The plants seem to be farther ahead then the fbt29 was at day 12. The only thing i have changed is ph'ing my water to 5.7 before adding nutrients. After adding nutes its usually 5.8. The fbt got some early frost going on. Stoked to see her develop in the coming weeks. Ill be posting every weekend :)

I'm so excited I have a purple phenotype! Day 89!!!! I came back from vacation and started harvesting right away, so the girl grew really big, but I gave her too little light, and at the end of the growth I didn't remove the leaves :( because I was busy on vacation :( but basically I'm still incredibly happy, her flowers are not very firm, they have a lot of "AIR", but a lot of shiny sticky trichomes, the girl grew really well throughout her growth, next time I will definitely use LST, this growth was with very little LST, there will be an update when the harvest dries up :) good luck to everyone:).

Whether it was slightly off VPD levels or this particular plant being more demanding, we decided to correct it by increasing the dose of RO Water Conditioner. Now, while this isn’t a direct substitute for Cal-Mag, it does contain trace amounts that can help stabilize the situation. 🔬 Understanding Cal-Mag Deficiency: Calcium and magnesium are essential secondary nutrients. Calcium strengthens cell walls, preventing issues like tip burn and weak stems, while magnesium plays a critical role in chlorophyll production, allowing plants to efficiently absorb light energy. 💡 Signs of Deficiency: • Yellowing between veins (Magnesium) • Rust spots on leaves (Calcium) • Slow growth and weak stems ⚡ How We Address It: • Slightly increasing RO Water Conditioner to see if trace minerals help • Keeping an eye on overall nutrient uptake to ensure no lockout • Monitoring VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) closely to optimize nutrient absorption Let’s see how she reacts next week! Branching Development – Pheno #2 Leading the Race All five phenos are thriving, but Pheno #2 is showing the most aggressive branching, pushing outward faster than her sisters. However, overall, we’re seeing very uniform growth, which speaks volumes about the stability of these genetics. 🌱 What is Branching & Why It Matters? Branching is the plant’s way of expanding its canopy, increasing surface area for photosynthesis, and maximizing potential bud sites. Well-structured branches allow better airflow, light penetration, and more even growth—key for a successful high-yield harvest. ⚖️ Topping vs. Leaf Bending – The Training Choice Instead of topping, I’ve decided to go with leaf bending for now. This method allows for gentle manipulation of the plant’s growth without causing major stress. Once we introduce the SCROG (Screen of Green) net, this training will help maximize the canopy spread. ☘️El 21/04 puse a hidratar la semilla por 24hs y luego la coloqué en papel con un poco de agua para empezar con su germinacion. ☘️22/04 - 24hs después germino y midió 1cm. ☘️Coloque la semilla germinada en una maceta que abarca 3L (la marca que utilizo en macetas es "Roots House"), es momentaño ese tamaño ya que me quede sin tierra suficiente para llenar una maceta de 10L como de costumbre. ☘️Le agregue AEGIS que es un producto natural compuesto por propagulos de hongos formadores de micorrizas. Estos se presentan como raicillas colonizadas del hongo y esporas. ☘️El sustrato que utilizó se llama "Nube Verde", su composición es de turba de categoría, perlita, humus, compost, tierra, dolomita y verticalidad. ☘️Voy a dejarla dos semanas en etapa de enraizamiento para que se pueda desarrollar de la forma correcta así la puedo pasar a crecimiento. ☘️25/04 - Cumple cuatro días de vida en total, ya mide 2,5cm de alto. ☘️En estos dias la estaré trasplantado en una maceta de 10L ya que ahora se encuentra en una de 3L. ☘️Salió muy rápido, por el momento viene de manera correcta. ☘️En estos dias estaré subiendo más imágenes! So this week the little gelatocake is on week 8 and is really starting to eat herself now, full of trichomes and smells like tutti fruity chewie sweets. Last week of nutes for her then mollases only. Week 7 for the othere gelatocake and shes starting to fatten up now as well as fade also. Babys have got big since re potting I will.bend them over later. Sherbert mimosa are still taking there time I think they are starting to get bigger 🤔🤣 I Will keep you updated lol. Happy growing guys 👌💪💚
