GanjaGecko The first outdoor run is kicked off with spring 💪🏼🌱 Hopefully, the weather cooperates and lets the ladies grow well. 3 out of 4 seeds have germinated. The second StrawberryBanana that hasn't germinated has now been placed in a glass of water again. If the seed still hasn't germinated after 24 hours, it's out. But I'll give it that chance 💪🏼🍀. The GorillaAuto isn't quite out of the woods yet, but I'm feeling positive. As a replacement for the StrawberryBanana, a LemonCherryCookies has been added. Let's keep our fingers crossed for her. She'll get her own story. The ladies will be drawn in a relatively controlled environment for the first 2 weeks. When they move to the final pots, the ladies will go outside. First, a bit in a sun/shade mix, and once they get used to the sun, they'll get as much sun as possible with minimal adjustments. Between 3 and 4 days after planting the seeds, the ladies have seen the light of day. May the first week begin 🍀💪🏼

GanjaGecko The first few days outdoors have treated the ladies well. The only night that gave me pause was the night from day 6 to day 7. The night was forecasted to be 7°C. I brought the ladies inside overnight so they wouldn't be too challenged in their early stage. They were then put back outside in the sun the next morning. The nights are now not supposed to drop below 10°C. So they will stay outside day and night from now on. This week they spent time in a small greenhouse. To prevent it from getting too hot, one side is left open for better air circulation. The ladies will probably stay in the greenhouse for about another week, and once they are a bit sturdier, they will be out in the open air. Each lady was put into her final pot on day 3 and also outside. The StrawberryBanana is in an 11L pot, while the GorillaAuto and GorillaZkittlez are each in an 8L pot. Each pot has about 1L less substrate. The last liter of substrate will be added when flowering begins. Each lady is in a substrate mix. The base is Biobizz LightMix. About 5L of BioBizz LightMix was mixed with 2L of Coco/Perlite (70/30). Each pot received 5 heaping tablespoons of Megaworm and 1 heaping tablespoon of Batguano in the bottom half of the pot. When placing the ladies, a little Great White Mycorrhiza was added to the young "roots" and also a bit in the area where they were planted. The rest was filled with the substrate mix. About 15g of BioGrow from GreenHouseFeeding was mixed into the surface. Since the ladies will likely go into flowering after about 3-4 weeks and generally don't need too much fertilizer, the Megaworm and Batguano mixed in should last until flowering. At the beginning of flowering, the last liter of substrate will be mixed with 20g of BioBloom from GreenHouseFeeding, 2 heaping teaspoons of Batguano, and 4 heaping teaspoons of Megaworm from Plagron and added to the pots. Watering was done with 1ml/L of PowerRoots from Plagron and 1g/L of BioEnhancer from GreenHouseFeeding. Each lady received about 500ml with a pH of 6.5. The surface was properly moistened beforehand so that the water wouldn't just run through when watering. On day 7, it was only necessary to water for the second time. Again, about 500ml was given with a pH of 6.5. Thank you for stopping by, dear Growmies 💚

GanjaGecko Not much has been done this week except for watering by feel and watching the ladies grow. I only gave them 1ml/L of PowerRoots from Plagron. It's hard to say what each lady got. Maybe about 250-300ml every two days. I just paid attention to the pot weight. The first little heatwave was handled well by the ladies, and they're growing beautifully. The first signs of side branches are also slowly getting ready to start. I'm really looking forward to the next few weeks.💚 Height: StrawberryBanana 14.5cm Gorilla 14.5cm GorillaZkittlez 18cm

GanjaGecko Week 3 is over, and the ladies have really shot up quite a bit. I think that one slightly cloudy day among the otherwise sunny days made the ladies search for light a bit. All the ladies have been supported for now, so if the wind picks up, they have some assistance. On day 21, the ladies moved from the little seedling house to direct sunlight, which they all handled well. The pre-flowers were already visible on days 18/19. On day 21, it's clear that buds are developing at the tips, and they're already giving off a slight scent :) On day 21, the last liter of substrate was added. For the flowering period, I mixed in 10g of BioBloom from GreenHouseFeeding, 4 teaspoons of MegaWorm, and 1 teaspoon of BatGuano from Plagron. Since autoflowers need a bit less nutrients, I used a bit less of everything. The whole thing was watered with about 700ml. In the watering solution, there was 1g/L of BioEnhancer from GreenHouseFeeding, 1ml/L of PowerRoots, and 1ml/L of PureZym from Plagron. The pH was adjusted to 6.5 with some pH-. In between, I always watered by feel, depending on how light or heavy the pot was when lifted. At first, it's hard to say how much to water and when. When the pot is well-rooted, I like to follow the 10% rule, which would mean a watering amount of 800ml for an 8L pot. I do this every 2-3 days. That's why I initially water by feel and a bit less. Adding water when it's too little is easier than trying to get excess water out again ;) May the flowering period begin💚🍀 Thank you for stopping by💚🤙🏻

GanjaGecko Week 1 of flowering is a dream. The ladies have all reached a good height and developed nice flower sites. It rained very little here, and the sun came through quite regularly. Midweek, it rained a bit, so I didn't have to water. The pot didn't have the problem of the substrate drying out due to daytime temperatures around 22-25°C, and it wasn't too wet either. I just moistened the surface once and otherwise just watched the ladies grow and felt happy💚 So it was really a very relaxed week. Here and there, I picked off a few individual aphids. There were maybe 10 in the whole week. So the maintenance was also kept to a minimum. If the aphids should increase significantly, a few beneficials will be sent into battle. One or two leaves had to be removed because a little thrip caused some damage. But otherwise, the ladies are just growing super well💚 Thank you very much for stopping by💚🤙🏻

GanjaGecko In week 2 of flowering, all 3 ladies have gained quite a bit of height. They all have very nice flower sites that are already giving off a lovely scent💚 I had relatively good luck with the weather. The storm passed by here, only 2 days without sun and little rain. But that also meant less watering. Now the ladies have been in the sun for 3 days and are developing splendidly. I added 1× on day 31/10F 1g/L BioEnhancer from GreenHouseFeeding. Each lady received about 500ml with a pH of 6.7. Otherwise, I lifted the pots and watered a bit as needed. GanjaGecko Week 3 of flowering is over. Overall, the ladies are now 42 days old. Each lady is slowly starting to develop her typical smell. I had to cut off a shoot from the StrawberryBanana because it had three white spots, two on the leaves and one on the shoot. Otherwise, a few fan leaves were removed here and there that were covering other shoots. The GorillaZkittlez has developed three main buds and has the thickest buds so far with the most trichomes. During the week, I watered about 400ml per lady once. The second time was on day 21F. Here, each lady received about 600ml. Additionally, there were 4g/L BioEnhancer from GreenHouseFeeding, 1ml/L PureZym, 1ml/L PowerRoots from Plagron, and 2ml/L StickyFingers from XpertNutrients. There could have been a few more hours of sunshine, but there's nothing you can do about that. On the plus side, I didn't have to water as often, and the substrate maintained a nice consistent moisture level. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the next weeks bring a bit more sun 💪🏼💚 GorillaZkittlez: 68cm GorillaAuto: 93cm StrawberryBanana: 93cm Thanks for stopping by 🤙🏼💚

GanjaGecko Week 4 of flowering is over and the ladies smell absolutely amazing💚 especially the GorillaZkittlez, which will probably be the first to finish. Followed by the StrawberryBanana, which is also developing some nice buds. The "last" in the group is the GorillaAuto, but it looks like she might end up yielding the most. I had to remove two shoots from the StrawberryBanana that showed signs of powdery mildew. She is definitely the most sensitive of all. So far, only a few leaves have been affected, and those were removed right away. I've been treating the healthy parts of the shoots and leaves with neem oil, trying my best to cover the buds. So far, there have been no new signs of powdery mildew. The StrawberryBanana definitely needs a bit more attention. The GorillaZkittlez is handling the mild and humid days very well and is developing quickly. I think she could be ready for harvest in about 2 weeks. She already smells enchanting. Oversized fan leaves and leaves that cover the shoot tips are regularly removed from all the ladies. They've also received a minimal lollipopping. Fertilizing/Watering: On Day 43/22F, I added 2ml/L StickyFingers and 1ml/L PowerBuds to the water, along with some pH- to reach a pH level of 6.7. ________________________ Due to some rain and fairly moderate daytime temperatures of 18-22°C, not much food was needed. I lift the pots of all the ladies and decide how much each plant needs when watering. On Day 47/26F, it was quite warm and all the ladies needed a good drink again. Here, I added to 5L of water: 1ml GreenSensation, 4ml PowerBuds, 3ml PureZym from Plagron, 4ml BioBloom from BioBizz as a little BloomBooster, and 10ml StickyFingers from XpertNutrients. On Day 48/27F, with the gradually warmer temperatures, they got a bit to drink again. This time, I added 4g BioEnhancer from GreenHouseFeeding and 4ml PowerBuds from Plagron to 5L of watering solution. ____________________________ May the coming week bring us plenty of sunshine💚🍀

GanjaGecko Week 5 of flowering is over. The warmest week so far, with daytime temperatures between 25-31°C and nighttime temperatures between 15-21°C, has been well handled by the ladies. I've removed a few oversized leaves here and there or leaves that were covering the buds. Otherwise, I've handpicked a few aphids with my fingers or tweezers. The undersides of the leaves were also generously checked for aphids and eggs. A few had to be squished by hand, but it's mostly under control. There was also no sign of powdery mildew anymore. All the ladies are stable and developing beautiful buds💚 the GorillaZkittlez looks pretty much ready. I think it will take a maximum of two more weeks before it can be dried. It has really nice, resinous, dense buds that I wouldn't have expected outdoors. And it also has the most intense smell 💚 the scent leans heavily towards citrus with spicy undertones. I think the StrawberryBanana will take 1-2 weeks longer than the GorillaZkittlez. But it looks good too. The headbud is going to be a nice fat thing. The smell is incredibly delicious but not quite definable yet, leaning towards fruity. The GorillaAuto is lagging a bit behind but will probably yield as much as my StrawberryBanana and GorillaZkittlez combined. The GorillaAuto has a very intense citrus smell with pine in the background. So far, it's my favorite of the three ladies just based on the smell. ____________________________ Fertilizing/Watering: The ladies were watered every day during this hot week. On the two days with 30°C and hardly any clouds, the ladies were watered in the morning and evening. On average, each lady received about 700ml-1L per watering. The pH level was between 6.5 and 6.7. On day 51/30F, the additives for 5L of water were: 6ml BioBloom from BioBizz as a little flowering booster, along with 1.5ml GreenSensation. Just a little of that, because the main fertilizer is GreenHouseFeeding, which doesn't quite mix well with the GreenSensation. Besides that, autoflowers also need a bit less nutrients. There were also 5ml PowerBuds and 3ml PureZym added to the 5L. On day 52/31F, there was only water, but in the morning and evening. On day 53/32F, there were 10ml StickyFingers from XpertNutrients in 5L of water, and in the evening, just water again. On day 54/33F, there was water again. On day 55/34F, there was more water. On day 56/35F, there were 5g BioEnhancer from GreenHouseFeeding, 6ml BioBloom from BioBizz, 1.5ml GreenSensation, and 5ml PowerBuds from Plagron in 5L of water. In the evening, there was also another 300-500ml for each lady. The pH level was always between 6.5-6.7. Here's to another week full of joy and lovely scents💚

GanjaGecko Crazy week! Week 9, the sun didn't really want to come out, but we had everything from light drizzle to hail. Only shit didn't fall from the sky. The sun only came out again on the last two days. The first day of the week D58/37F started off with heavy rain and big hail. You could only watch and hope the ladies would hold up okay. The extreme rain with hail lasted only 10-15 minutes, but it did cause some damage to the leaves. The GorillaZkittlez suffered the most. Since she's already pretty far along, the leaves aren't as elastic anymore and break more easily. Otherwise, the ladies survived the first storm of the week. Right the next day D59/38F, I wondered what was hanging down on that leaf. It was a bunch of bug eggs... the leaf and those that were too damaged by the hail were removed. Aside from a few small spots from the hail here and there, the ladies look healthy. On day 61/40F, there was another big rain. I was just grateful it didn't hail again🤣 still sucks. There was a lot of rain. The next day D62/41F was the first day without rain, and the sun came out again. I did a little check on the ladies after the stormy days. I discovered a noticeable brown spot on the GorillaZkittlez. Who would have thought after all that rain... one bud unfortunately had mold. That was generously removed. A couple of other spots that looked suspicious were cut out for safety. With the StrawberryBanana, I only cut off the tip of one bud that looked suspicious and 2-3 leaves that showed signs of powdery mildew. The GorillaAuto is a chill follower. No stress with mold or powdery mildew. On day 63/42F, I finally watered again with the watering can. As additives, I used 4g BioEnhancer from GreenHouseFeeding, 4ml PowerBuds, 1ml GreenSensation from Plagron, 6ml BioBloom from BioBizz, and 8ml StickyFingers from XpertNutrients in 4L of water. The whole thing was at pH 6.8. Each lady got a different amount. I watered based on the weight of the pots. The only one that didn't get anything is the GorillaZkittlez. I think she'll be harvested in the next few days and go into drying before she gets caught in the rain again on the home stretch. No rain is forecasted for the next few days. If that's the case, I think she'll be hung up to dry in two days💚 I think the StrawberryBanana will go into drying in about two weeks, and then the GorillaAuto. The ladies should take the time they need💪🏻 Thanks for stopping by 💚🤙🏻

GanjaGecko This week it rained like crazy again. I only had to water once, but after the week, I had to remove ⅓ of the main bud and two parts of the side buds because mold showed up there. You can't do much when the ladies are completely exposed to the weather. I only watered once this week. Additives were 1g/L BioEnhancer from GreenHouseFeeding, 1ml/L PowerBuds, 0.3ml/L GreenSensation from Plagron, and 0.8ml/L BioBloom from BioBizz. I brought the whole thing to a pH of 6.8. Each lady got a different amount depending on the weight of the respective pot. I hope the weather slowly adjusts to summer and the remaining time goes by without mold and with more sun than rain 🍀💚

The GorillaZkittlez set an incredible pace and was quite fast finished. It showed no signs of powdery mildew and was otherwise very healthy until the end. The only issue was some mold on the buds. I would rather blame the weather for that. A strain that is 100% suitable for the garden.

GanjaGecko The GorillaZkittlez was cut on day 66/45F and went into a box to dry with a small PC fan installed to keep the air moving. Unfortunately, I had to cut away quite a bit during the harvest again. The wet weather brought some mold into the buds. Overall, this definitely resulted in about ⅓ - ¼ of the buds ending up in the trash. That was to be expected with the weather over the last two weeks. To safely get the rest of the buds into jars, I gave them a proper wet trim to avoid further mold. After 5 days, the buds were ready to go into the jar. In the end, I got 20.5g dried. With about 10g that had mold, the result is somewhat satisfactory for the short time and the first outdoor harvest. However, the taste and effect make up for the loss at harvest. The spiciness dominates the flavor. However, fruity undertones emerge in the aftertaste. GorillaZkittlez handled the changeable weather well during growth. Just the buds didn't 😂 However, the ladies had no protection from the rain and were completely at the mercy of the weather. The strain will still find its way back into the garden 💚

GanjaGecko This week has had a bit more sunshine again. The GorillaAuto is the last of the three ladies from the report. I think it will still be standing for another 1 - 1½ weeks before it gets hung up to dry. The trichomes are about 20% milky, 75% clear, and 5% amber. The fan leaves are also slowly getting lighter and turning autumnal. Watering is only done with water when the pot gets lighter. On hot days, it was sometimes twice a day. Hopefully, it survives the last days without any worse weather influences 🍀 Thank you very much for stopping by 💚

GanjaGecko I decided to harvest the StrawberryBanana and hang it up to dry because rain was forecasted again, and I didn't want powdery mildew or bud rot to show up in the last days, or more than what was already there. Over time, I had to cut off two side branches because they had powdery mildew, and here and there, a leaf or two. Here and there, parts of the buds also had to go because rot or mold had started to make itself comfortable. During the wet trim, which I fortunately decided on, there were also a few noticeable spots that ended up in the trash.

GanjaGecko That was the last week for the GorillaAuto. It was really packed with buds. Unfortunately, there were quite a few small leaves growing between the buds. They had to be removed regularly so that after rainy days the water dries up better and to prevent mold a bit. There were really a lot of these small leaves... Here and there were a few spots affected by mold. I think that's something that can't be completely avoided outdoors. Especially not with the rainy summer we're having here this year. In the last few days, the GorillaAuto was brought inside on rainy days so that the buds wouldn't get unnecessarily wet in the final days and maybe mold would develop here and there. During the time inside, a 5-watt fan provided circulation and a 20W grow light provided some daylight. The substrate was only kept minimally moist so that it wouldn't dry out.

GanjaGecko After 5 days in week 13/10F, the shoots of the GorillaAuto were cut and hung up. The wet trim took some time. I also think I had a bit of bad luck with the phenotype. There were a lot of small leaves spread over the buds. To dry, the buds were placed in a box with a small PC fan.

@GanjaGecko, I just harvested my Blackberry Kush. Mold in the main bloom. I had to cut off some buds. 🙈 This week was really intense, one rain shower chased the other. I only escaped the hail. Take good care of your Gorilla Skittlez, it looks great! Good luck!

@Comfrey, hey, good to see you. Yeah, I'm still scared before opening the main bud 😄 there will definitely be a nasty surprise. This week was really brutal. I hope for you that the healthy buds taste twice as good 🍀💚 The GorillaZkittlez will get some sun today and tomorrow and then will be hung up to dry. I will only open the main bud and dry it in individual flowers. Thank you. Wishing you all the best with the harvest too 💚🤙🏻

Very detailed post and especially good results. Top! Yes, and the eternal battle against mold. This year I will work with pop-up greenhouses to keep the rain away during flowering. The size of the greenhouses should not be a problem for autoflowers.

@nEcKk, yes, thank you so much🤙🏻 The wet/humid summer last year was an absolute disaster. I hope it won't be as humid this year and that it won't rain for days on end so the buds can dry out in between😄. With a greenhouse for the ladies, I'll get in trouble with my lady😆 I'll spray the ladies with neem oil during the growth phase and in between with silica. Also, adding silica to the watering should help prevent mold and mildew a bit. I only have a small greenhouse where the ladies come in for the transition from artificial light before going into direct sunlight.

Very pretty girl. Frost is more than enough, and for an auto, trimming isn't a horror show either. Enjoy the well-deserved work to the fullest. 😏😎

@Stony_German, thank you. The StrawberryBanana was also my favorite of the three ladies. A Gelato without any issues was perfect. It had the least mold and was a dream when it came to trimming. The Gorilla is currently hanging to dry. Trimming that one was a nightmare. So many tiny leaves between the buds. Maybe just bad luck with the pheno. Sometimes you just can't tell.

Yeah, the weather here is tough, sorry for your loss. But what’s left looks excellent ❤️

@Philippovic, yeah I don't want to complain either 😄 hopefully the second half of summer won't be too rainy. Then the second run will go better 💪🏼

The weather is really shitty, the worst grow summer so far. Unless it goes into October, that would be a blessing for the outdoor photo-growers. Your ladies look nice and frosty and terpy. Good luck with the sun in the final stretch.

@Stony_German, yeah, let's hope that summer extends out of bad conscience. For the first summer, I'm just going to put out autos. A photo-lady is just a week old right now. I wanted to see how she does. The GorillaZkittlez is also sticking pretty well. Thank you. Wishing you all the best too, Growmie💚🤙🏻
