This week the new growth of the plants transitioned from looking relatively healthy to droopy and yellowed. I wasn't sure what the issue was at first and thought it might be light stress. After more research, I determined that I had what looked very much like a zinc deficiency, which is almost always a symptom of over-watering, which is the most common mistake for new growers, i.e. "Me". I had assumed that adding a good amount of perlite to my soil and using smart pots would prevent me from running in to any drainage issues but I guess not. I was up to 1.5 liters per plant when I realized that it was too much. I also realized I was misreading my syringe which I use to mix nutrients, and that i had been giving only 1/10 of the liquid nutrients that I thought. I'm super embarrassed about the mistake but I'm going for full transparency here, so there it is. Course correction takes places after day 31.

#1 still not flowering it’s been almost 3 weeks since the flip to 13/11. #3 is loaded with buds!! #4 is also loaded. #3 and #4 aren’t stretching a ton, and I love that they seem to be putting all of their energy into making buds. I’ve defoliated some to keep the budsites in the light.

Fast drying method with dehumidifier at 21CΒ° for 3 days and dry trimming, even the sugar leaves are smokable and full with amber crystals, no harshness at all. District odours.

Halftime! Cleaned the tent, added a yellow sticky trap, no complications. But it looks like some plants have Mag deficiency, too bright, or maybe the light ist to hard for them. Will add Mineral Water till i get the CalMag

Temps were hard to control this week due to a heat wave and the fact I'm in a basement with no AC. I put the fans in the tent on too high a setting pointed right at the plants and they ended up with some wind stress which can be seen in the pics affecting the new growth. Bought a 6 inch inline fan to beef up the exhaust for the tent and this seems to have helped a lot. I moved the tent to its final location to allow access to ventilation so I can pipe the smell outside when the flowering starts. I started low stress training on both plants this week. I decided not to top either plant but I will for the next grow to see how it affects yields. I also fixed the other viovsun tent that had a broken zipper track and only one slider. Hopefully I can use it in the future for flowering photoperiod plants.

Week 14 Day 92 (13/11/2020)πŸ’§: Great start to the week with watering today and because all the girls are entering their 4th week of flower, I will again be increasing the BioBloom as per the commendations on the watering chart, but since the pH has been increased they are definitely looking great and have enough nutrients between the watering days. So today I gave the girls 4.5 ml of BioBloom, 1.5ml of BioGrow, and 1.5ml of TopMax for 1.5L of water. I think I will be giving the same nutrients for the rest of the week as well. Day 93 (14/11/2020): Not that many updates today actually. The girls are looking amazing as always Day 94 (15/11/2020): I wanted to check the trichomes on the girls today with a loupe to see how they are developing up closer but I have no idea where my loupe is :( Really wanted to look closer at the flowers but will have to find it first to take some close up pictures as well Day 95 (16/11/2020)πŸ’§: We watered the girls today and gave them the same nutrients as before. They were watered with 4.5ml of BioBloom, 1.5ml of BioGrow and 1.5ml of TopMax. I think the TopMax is definitely making the buds fatten up Day 96 (17/11/2020): Took some lovely pictures of the girls today. Was finally able to capture on camera the redness of the flowers (or at least on girl#1). It’s quite difficult to the get the true colours because of the way the camera perceives the light. Day 97 (18/11/2020): Just can’t get enough of the smell of the girls omg they smell so great. It’s kind of a mixture of citrus and spicy at the same time. Cannot wait to taste them Day 98 (19/11/2020)πŸ’§: I keep wanting to measure the pH to make sure that it is still above 6.0 but I haven’t had enough time because it takes a while, but I will make sure to measure the pH before the next watering. So as mentioned at the beginning of the week, I will be giving the same nutrients. I watered the girls with 4.5ml of BioBloom, 1.5ml of BioGrow, and 1.5 of TopMax. So far the girls are looking good and happy with the nutrients. I’m only noticing yellowing leaves at the very bottom because there is not enough light, other than that the leaves seem like all the nutrients are balanced well. Also it looks like have finally stopped stretching length-wise and started focusing on growing the buds because the height is the same as last week. But really amazing progress this week, I’ve included a video of all the girls in the tent as well so it’s easier to see how different they are!

Day 82 - she's stable, and coming along nicely... feeding nutrifield grow a+b mix, + crystalic and particulates....... stable full tank is 6.5 ph and she drinks it down to 5.5 ph..... + 1800 ppm down to 1200 ppm..... (approximate..... ) (the particulates are garden variety blood bone fertilizer, just add a little sprinkle in the tank) the neuts are same, nutrified, and impressed with the results of both the base set and the whole range, crystalic is unbelievable, it brings out a beautiful deep shiny green...... πŸ‘πŸ‘

The sixth week is over! This girl is taking it easy, while becoming more and more beautiful. Pistils, pistils everywhere, as Buzz would say. The prospects are really excellent. This week she grew to 83 cm and drank a total of 3.5 L, 2.5 with nutrients and 1 L of water only. The lamp is now fixed at 30 cm at 100%. Week seven is coming! Show us some calyxes, girl!

June 10, 2026 She's stretching now, and looking nice and even so far, barely any imperfections. Lighting has been increased to 20 DLI for now, I don't want to blast her too quickly yet. There's also some mild chlorosis in new leaves that's been present throughout the grow, and throughout I've been doing foliar sprays with cal-mag-iron-nitrogen, and that seems to be helping after a few days of application. I'm pretty sure it's genetic, as there's also a few leaves that are near albino and unable to get much color other than yellow, which is often an issue with a lack of iron. I'll continue to treat new leaves as they come and try not to defoliate too much, other than some lollipopping after the stretch is over. I may try to find an iron supplement to add to the spray or the reservoir, just to target iron specifically and see if that corrects the issue.

Week starting 4/10/2019 Spotted a few aphids today on some of the yellowing leaves - confirmed with the magnifying glass. Humidity continues to be an issue as I cannot seem to lower it below 60% at best, averaging 65%. The extraction currently is pulling the air from the tent into the room - will need to look into taking it outside of the house before looking at dehumidifiers. White powdery mildew is more prevalent on some of the tops. Manually wiping them off with a wet cloth each day. 05/10 - Applied nematodes today to all 4 pots (https://www.biogroei.fr/stenema). Had to apply it with water at pH6.5 08/10 - Watered all 4 plants to keep the soil moist for the nematodes. #1 08/10 - Watered at pH6.3 at 17 deg 10/10 - Feed of Vega at pH6.4 at 19.8 deg, EC 1.84 - still seems stunted during flowering and behind the others of same strain by a week or two. #2 08/10 - Watered at pH6.3 at 17 deg 10/10 - Feed of Vega at pH6.4 at 19.8 deg, EC 1.84 (pot was not dry yet, should have waited another day or two with feeding) - colas are still developing nicely whilst continuing with the leaf loss. - defoliated and cut all small branches with flowers at the bottom. #3 08/10 - Watered at pH6.3 at 17 deg 10/10 - Feed of Vega at pH6.4 at 19.8 deg, EC 1.84 (pot was not dry yet, should have waited another day or two with feeding) - a few curled/twisted leaves. Continues to need the most frequent watering - most probably due to the limited 7L pot. #4 08/10 - Watered at pH6.3 at 17 deg - is not drinking a lot of water compared to the other 3 G13 Haze strains. - getting close to harvest time, still not showing big signs of nutrient deficiencies or other issues. Some purple leaves at the very top of the main cola.

What more can I say it's Day 50 the plant is coming along beautifully I was worried at first as it looked like it might have been having some growth issues but my fears were dispelled. She's starting to change colours but still has tons of white hair so I asked the maid at least another three weeks till harvest I could be mistaken I will keep testing the plant to see how the trichomes are developing hey hey Day 51 and i took a small clipping to put under the microscope and she is getting nice and cloudy with some amber, nex time im getting and black base so both you and i can see better Day 52 and I'm starting to see more Amber trichomes. I'm doing the best I can to get his clothes a picture of the actual bud as I can with my phone seeing as I don't have a laptop to bring my microscope into the grow room Day 53 so i took a clipping from one of the buds at the top and it has almost no amber tricombs go fig lol maybe i have a bit more after all. maybe i will hit that 70 day mark hello again its Day 56 and it's the last day of this week's cycle still on the wall about whether I should flush starting Saturday. Just about all trichomes are cloudy with my estimate being about 10% Amber. I could probably push it another week I'm just not sure I want 30 to 50% Amber trichomes. I hope you enjoy the photos I uploaded I decided to get some more up close and personal photos using my phone they're not quite as good as I microscope but the app I use does a pretty good job. Stay tuned for next week's update where we'll finally learn whether I flush or don't LOL

After reading comments from LoudHouseGrow's videos on YT, saw that drying back in veg helps force roots to expand and search for water. Started drying back plants along with last week's transplant. Plants looked much healthier at the end of this week.
