03/31/25: Today was a major milestone in the grow: all five plants were transplanted into 1-gallon AirPots and topped above the 3rd node. I also cleaned up everything below node two, leaving each plant with two strong, healthy nodes to begin shaping their structure for the vegetative phase. Normally, I wouldn’t combine transplanting and topping on the same day, as both are stress-inducing events. However, the plants looked robust and healthy, showing no signs of weakness. Because of this, I felt confident they could handle the dual stress. Still, I expect them to take the next 2–3 days to recover, after which I anticipate they’ll bounce back with even more vigor. Each plant was moved into a 1-gallon AirPot, which encourages air pruning and promotes a more fibrous, expansive root system. During transplant, I sprinkled mycorrhizal fungi directly near the rootball of each plant to help stimulate root colonization and increase nutrient uptake during this critical phase. On inspection, the roots were healthy and white, showing no signs of being rootbound—making this the perfect window for transplanting without risking transplant shock or root constriction. The newly potted plants were placed back into the 4x4 tent, now sitting about 36 inches (approximately 91.5 cm) below the AC Infinity S44 light, which is set to 40% power. This provides a PAR reading of around 360 µmol/m²/s, which is well-suited for early veg. To begin early phenotype tracking, I’ve labeled the plants as PP1 through PP5: • PP1: Most vigorous plant so far • PP2: Slightly behind PP1 in size and growth rate • PP3–PP5: Showing very similar growth characteristics, slightly more compact If early vigor is any indication of sex, I would guess that PP1 and PP2 may be male, while PP3 through PP5 could be female. That said, this is purely speculative—true sex traits won’t reveal themselves until preflower, and many vigorous plants end up being female as well.

Seed was put in a glass of water on the 2nd of January 20:00 (8PM). Around 15h later it sunk to the bottom and I transferred it to a wet paper towel inside a zip. Around 51h later (so ~36h inside zip) the seed had not yet opened. I am a little worried, but at the same time not because I've looked up what the pro's say and some of them don't even look at the seed until after the seed has spent at least 48h inside the paper towel. I will be patient and wait for the seed to open. After the seed has opened I will be even more patient and let the root grow for a bit. I have grown 2 of these plants in my lifetime and first time was really good, second time was very bad, and the second time I planted it when the root was ~1mm long. I will not rush things this time. I will also be careful to not let the root grow too long. If I'll have it my way, then I'll be planting this baby tomorrow evening, so in a bit less than 24h from now. If I have to reschedule then it will probably be planted on the 6th of January. Worst case scenario: We have to restart with a new seed. Bless you. Update 5 Jan 2022 17:29 (05:29 PM): We have a root! The seed has opened ever so slightly and the root has grown more and more during today. I want the root to grow a tiny bit longer before I plant it. I will take another look before bedtime. Update 5 Jan 2022 20:43 (08:43 PM): Root has not grown much since the last picture, will plant tomorrow. Update 6 Jan 2022 10:05 (10:05 AM): Will plant later. Root is too short. Update 6 Jan 2022 15:00 (03:00 PM): Root is still shorter than I had in mind but my patience has ran out and I think it is still a fine length for the seed to do really good. I also have very good soil for her with claimed great amount of nutrients for seedlings. When it gets large enough I will transplant her to a 11L pot. The 11L pot has been filled with more than 11L soil. Probably around 15L. By the way, the plant has a name, her name is "Satan" but is referred to as a "she". Update 12 Jan 2022 18:00 (06:00 PM): We have a sprout! I saw the sprout some hours ago. I am sure that I planted the seed quite perfectly in the middle. However, the sprout happened very much to the side. I suspect that there was something in the soil that might blocked the sprout. So far it looks like we planted Satan on the 6th of January and we got a sprout on the 12th. I will consider Satan to be in germination stage until it grows a little more. Then I will treat it like she's in the vegetative phase. ----------------------------- SUMMARY: Day 1-21 in Satans life has been so wonderful. Not a minute goes by without me feeling euphoric about her. Every day when I wake up I go to the grow-room and tell her good morning. I hold her largest leaf between my thumb and index-fingers to hold leaf (hold hand) and we just hold leaf together for a few seconds while I admire her beauty. She is so absolutely gorgeous and kind and she is also very happy with her environment. I already have another plant in another grow-room which also is a Northern Lights and I have kept a diary of her as well, just not on growdiaries.com (everything is kept in a Word-document). This other plant is called Kim, named after Kim Jong-Un. Kim and her diary is going to be utilized as a "roadmap" for Satan, so I should know what to expect and when to expect it. I also did a few mistakes with Kim, such as water too much or let her grow with way too much nitrogen in the air. Satan will instead be the best grow I have ever done - hopefully. Another week down a whole week of 12/12 and I won’t say she’s stretching yet, I would have thought ild see son pistols by now but no.i know she’s healthy the cutting I took only took two days to fully root A few new things to add to the list of nutrients, this week she’s had a heavy top dress. Reaper, soil candy, and barley to kick start bloom, grow plus to make sure she has enough to stretch properly and the knf. Which I’ve add fermented fruit juice to now for bloom, Fermented fruit juice - I’ve gone hard to ferment this properly since using shop bought fruits, Bananas for potassium, blackberries and blueberries because that’s how I imagine a moonberry would taste 😂 I know it’s no going to influence the terps but still LAB for microbes and jsm ( leaf mould and potato in water to collect microbes in the water) And finally molasses. This brew took about three weeks. The light stayed the same high flipped to 12 hours and turned up to 75%. She will stay there until the plant reaches 30cm from the light. I thinkkkkk that wraps this week up might be a bit boring from here on out work wise butttt will be exciting watching her blow up, till next week. Let’s get it 💪🏽

Note: At time of writing the Runtz has had 2 weeks cure, will update the review and rate it after 2+ months cure. Hermied a bit, has very few seeds so not too bad. Growth review: - vigorous grower during veg - solid stretch - medium internode distance - small sized buds - lower buds not too airy - very easy/not fussy - medium amount of smell - 80+ days flower (12/12) in hydro DWC under full spectrum led - responded well to various lst techniques Ease of growth rating: 9/10 General note: --> For me personally this strain NEEDS a good cure and is not worth smoking yet... It has a bit of a citrus grassy (not hay) taste, with some 'special' fruity smells to it that remind a bit of grapes/cassis. When grinding/opening the curing pots there is a pretty dank heavy weed smell so I think the quality will come out after a few months of cure... In its current state not worth smoking for the taste or effect after 14 days cure. --> Currently the effect is not very strong, easy to handle and I need a lot to feel a bit. The effect lasts for short compared to the average strains I smoke. Should develop more character with a longer cure. Hash making notes: - water extraction of the trim yielded 16g of hash (45mc-220mc) - rosin has a bit too much of a weird spicy grassy taste which make it a bit unpleasant, waiting till the buds improve with cure to try again - rosin color at 80c is yellow/white/beige creamy waxy, with hard consistency - rosin color at 95c is golden with hard consistency

The aroma of wood and lemon is over whelming as I did a light defoliation during the start of the week, this will aid in finishing up the lower bud sites.. Super close to harvest now but she is still throwing out fresh white hairs so I know there's some fattening up to do. Counting these last fleeting days can always feel so taxing don't you agree? Anxiously awaiting harvest time now, patience in all good things. 💪

Transplanted into larger containers with fresh soil. The soil is a blend of Peat Moss one Perlite. I then mixed some older soil with the new Peat/Perlite blend. After the transplant I watered with Recharge to help get some healthy microbes starting to develop in the soil. In addition to transplanting the 2 existing Blackberry's I also planted a fresh seed. It should be interesting to compare the new seeds growth started in fresh soil compared with the girls who struggled in the old soil. I'm hoping to see some nice improvements over the next few weeks. Just a short update this week. Again, everything is going very well. The smell is developing, as is trichome production 😎 Hopefully not too long left now! Had to UP the Ph level this week, turns out Shogun Silicon is great for raising it 👌

Grow was strong. Had some concerns regarding the autos and thier timing as far as switching into flower and not being 100% in sync with one another. It's just the nature of the genetics sometimes. White Castle aka Iced Widow has a light smell, very pleasant and floral! Each branch will easily have a quarter Oz on them ! This girl is a big producer! I have found a seed here and there, unfortunately my other plant in the tent hermid on me and I didn’t see until to late !
