Day 36 Grow Diary Entry – Day 36 (Flower Day 16) Strain: Sour Frootz by Karma Genetics Plants: 4 clones Training: HST + SCROG Today is Flowering Day 16, and the Sour Frootz ladies are officially deep into the early-to-mid bloom stage. Bud sites are now well-defined, and the pistils are stacking up nicely. The stretch phase has slowed down slightly, giving a good window for structural management. To keep the canopy even and under control, I applied high-stress training (HST) by bending and tucking the taller tops through the SCROG net. I also reduced overall plant height by about 25 cm, evening out the top layer across all four plants. This should help maximize light penetration and bud development across the entire canopy. The plants handled the stress well—no signs of wilting or shock so far. With this structure locked in, the SCROG net is now fully supporting the horizontal spread, allowing more light to reach secondary bud sites. The aroma is intensifying slightly, a sweet, fruity tang starting to build up when brushing against the leaves. Everything is on track. —SETUP— .BOSSLED LED 1800W full spectrum, real power consumption is +-250W. .Grow space 60X100X200(a simple shower box. .AN nutes and other simple additives. .Grow medium is 60% peat, 30% perlite, 10% organic correction(worm castings), 5 gallon fabric pots(18l). —BRIEF— Hi there, I have tried already done this genetic outdoors, in poor lighting and a general purpose nute from Neudorff, yielded 25g dry, in 3gallon pots same medium. So this is a good experiment, lets see indoors how she will compare. —GERMINATION— My germination process always start by scarifying the seeds, i created a little tool for that. I just a little container with sandpaper walls. Shake gently for about 60 secs+, this allows for the water to penetrate better in the seed shell, once you soak. Then i soak overnight from 12 to 20 hours max. From there i either plant straight or use the paper towel method to see the tap root before. If you are a bit on the impatient side seen the tap root is advisable so you see some movement before planting. Lol! —ROYAL QUEEN SEEDS . QUICK ONE . INFO — Chose this strain because is basic and I have to travel for a month soon, and someone else is going to take care for this time. :) Most of our autoflowering feminized strains are easy to grow. This one, however, is so easy to grow that we had to call it Easy Bud. Easy Bud is very similar to the autoflowering strain White Dwarf. My Permanent Marker plants are looking good. The short and stocky one has turned a crazy shade of purple. It's really wild looking. The other plant is still putting on new growth, so it'll probably be ready in about two weeks. I can't wait to see how the purple one smokes – should be interesting. The past week has been awesome for drying my plants. The weather's been perfect – nice and dry, with just enough breeze to keep things moving. I finally got around to chopping down those two big plants I've been meaning to trim. They're almost ready, just need a little more time to dry out completely. I can't wait to see how they turned out.

Day 91 and all 4 plants have been on ripen for 8 days. That has helped speed up the lemon pie so I will get something from her. I spotted a good few what I think may be spring tails swimming in the res, as its near my res change and I'm flushing after that I'm not to worried about them. Pineapple express has been bulking all week and trichomes are all cloudy, she looks ace. Jack herer also bulked up a bit more, she has cloudy and a few amber trichomes, she is ready for the flush. Gorilla cookies has put on a little weight this week, her trichomes are cloudy and Amber and lots of them, she was ready to flush a few days ago really. Lemon pie the one that's looked poorly all the way through has turned into a Swan. Colours have come out nicely and bud production is coming on nicely, she could do with another 5 to 10 days before flushing but I'm finishing her with the others. 2 more days on ripen then I'm starting to flush. 8/9/2018 - All of these girls are doing great and have all shown their white pistils now! The branching on them has taken off and they responded to being topped really well. I’ve switched them from my 4x4 grow tent into a 4x8. I have to say it is significantly better having the extra space to be able to water, move around and for better air circulation with multiple fans. I also believe this will greatly help with light penetration inventory they bush out. I’ve been having issues keeping the daytime air temperature down due to the extream heat wave we have been experiencing. I think I have tackled this issue by running the lights at night now while the temperatures are cooler. Tomorrow is the official switch to flower and will be on a 13 hours off, 11 hours on light cycle for the next 2 days. Then on a normal 12/12 light cycle. IVE read that this can help the plants switch quicker. I’m looking forward to seeing the growth over the next few weeks!

20/01/2025 Seedlings have definitely grown in size! Bottom watered again today. Mixed 3L solution of Calmag, Growell Plus 8:8:8, Seaweed extract (2ml / 1ml / 1ml) and watered 1L per pot. Solution was sucked dry from tray relatively fast, guess the roots are growing. 21/01/2025 Measured PPFD / DLI today and found that my existing light had a relatively low ppfd value output. Reading 50 plus PPFD / 4.5 DLI at 24 inch height 75% power, generating insane amounts of heat if the grow tent is closed. Thing is the max ppfd is about 150 at 24 inches. Can't bring down the lights more without potentially causing light burn due to the high DLI low ppfd ratio. Fortunately I have the tent in a temperature controlled room so I had to leave the tent open to ensure there was good airflow cooling down the excess heat without causing too much of a temp shift. Managed to bring up the humidity by adding a larger humidifier maintaining 60 to 70 % range. Did myself a favour and ordered the vivosun aerolight a200se to go along with the rest of the vivosun kit. Hoping it arrives by week 3! Besides this, seedlings look healthy, did some foliar feeding with homemade wood vinegar (5ml to 1L) after lights out. 22/01/2025 I almost killed my plants with light lol. Turns out my existing light was putting up alright dishing out 1200 pfd from 24 inches at max. I noticed some skewed reading when I was tilting my phone screen so decided to take off the screen protector and damn.. ppfd was at 800 ppfd! It was the screen protector not the lights 😆 Since there were no signs of yellowing or wilting I decided to keep it at 400 ppfd. Bottom watered with 1L each of (2ml CalMag / 1ml Growell Plus 8:8:8 / 1ml Seaweed to 3L phed to 5.9) had about 100 ml excess after waiting for 10 mins so I drained out the excess. 23/01/2025 Fortunately my blunder with the lights didn't cost me too much. Plants still looking healthy, 3rd set of true leaves opening up.

Coming up on week 5 (Veg) she has been rocking well, Light nute feed and added a humidifier temps 84 Humidity 83 - looking to transplant this mother very soon

It is officially the waiting game. The impatient weeks where the Ladies appear to be ready but have a week or two to go. My first SCRoG appears successful but the lower buds definitely need more time.

Week 8 Last couple of days to go, she's been getting only water for a few days now and I also pulled the lamp up a bit. She's starting to tilt under the weight of the buds so I tied a couple to make sure they don't snap/bend. Looking and smelling amazing, super sticky tho it doesn't too look . I'll be taking a closer look at the trichomes over the next few days. Can't wait😁

This plant is growing well, I transplanted them this week into 3 gallon pots from 1 gallon pots. Structure on this plant is pretty nice and visually pleasing to the eye lol.

No watering needed in first week as pot dried out after germination. Light set low on 25% (approx 25W) and height is slowly reduced until it's 12" (30cm) from the plant. Lights on for 20 hours and off for 4 hours of darkness.

This guy and all his bloom. I will harvest now and save the pollen the… blueberry skunk has been pollinated so many times already via pre flowers… when I do start flowing his her I am interested to see how those seeds will turn out. This skunk male is a champion!

Hello, the second week of flowering has begun. From information from outside I have learned that they are fine, except that F1 hybrids are not very suitable for training due to the fact that there is no time for regeneration... maybe there is something to it because mine are almost dimensional :p they get a full set of vitamins but only for three doses. I do not know what will come of it, that is why I do not intend to waste nutrients... Best regards. Smoke weed every day ✌️🤘

This plant is an absolute beast. Have trimmed up all the lowers I need to I think, left several that should make good colas and even out the canopy. Starting to smell a bit sour in a good way, expect it to swell up over the next week. Favorite time now that we're in flower and most of the trimming and training is done! Stay tuned folks!
