So I started a 24 hour soak then planted into Peet pellet.

My strawberry pies are getting cut down on day 82, they all have some huge thick, dense buds and smell like strawberry cheese cake! By far my favorite strain to date I have grown can’t wait to give a smoke report! Thanks for following & happy growing friends!

Had an unexpected 50 mph thunderstorm strike last Tuesday. It broke one Sour Strawberry plant in half. The RuntzLayerCake was bent over thirty degrees. Many limbs broken and bent on the plants. I had to duct tape several main stems as you’ll see in the video. The four caged plants proved stability for the others. Second grow. Lesson learned. All the plants are now trussed with string and are very healthy. Thanks for looking in this week, and let me know your thoughts.

This strain was easy to grow, she started flowering on the 5th week and reached maturity on the 13th week (8th week of flowering). I had 2 of these plants growing at the same time. White LSD#2 took on a reddish/burgundy tone which made it look completely different from#1 All in all it was really a easy grow.

Day 114 the northern lights is blooming I increase the lighting 10 hours but gave it a bunch of nutrients. Probably gonna flush, I don’t really know, plants been taking a lil bit of time now *update I have some of the sugar leaves and some fan tips looking burnt not terrible but also I used to spray water but with all the fans, my the moisture dries in the leaves leaving a white water stain almost, so I stopped that and the tips had at one point produce a white ball ish thing at the end of the fan leaves I hope someone may have dealt with something like this if not it ain’t to bad I don’t thing

These girls are packing on weight and very very quickly, front 2 are watermelon punch , back 3 are blue gelato those buds are like boulders so dense and heavy you can see the weight of the buds when the plants are blowing , inhouse genetics terples are huge and taller , wedding cake is so frosty

May 25: looking healthy and happy. Nice progress considering it’s another week until the end of May. May 26: raised soil level using Pro-Mix and compost. Got rained on a bit but moved beside house to avoid the heaviest rain which verged on being hail. May 27: topped in morning. First round of topping in what will be a 16 cola manifold. Looking good as we’re about two weeks ahead of schedule. May 31: been cool the last few days since the toppping. Watered this morning with Monster Maxx. Slow going since the topping but she’ll be fine. Note that for all my diaries, I do pH adjustment with apple cider vinegar and add a dab of Dr Bronner’s Peppermint soap as a surfactant. That lowers the surface tension of the water allowing it to penetrate the soil more evenly. Also I’m always warming the water to help keep the roots happy in the cool weather. #seedsman420growoff #seedsmanseeds

Early morning day 1 we got a good rain. The girls loved it. This week has cooler night time Temps, storms, and low 90s upper 80s f day time Temps. Plants are getting into the super soil and out of the safe zone of plain organic soil. Next time I'll use a stronger mix of liquid feed for the safe zone. The plants didn't get enough nutes to grow fast. I'm still dialing in super soil/organic so there's a learning curb. I'm a little worried about topping these as I got a late start outdoors. I topped the biggest this week. The smallest got ravaged by an insect so I'll just let it grow out naturally.

Week 2: Light Struggles, First Adjustments & the Patience Test Update: 14.03.25 Good morning, grow fam! Week 2 of my photoperiod journey is running – a mix of challenges and small wins. Here’s a look at the early days of my Blueberry and Durban Poison seedlings. Current Observations: Light Deficiency & Stretching Stems The first days post-germination were intense: The seedlings developed extremely long, thin stems (check the photos!), a clear sign of insufficient light. Since I’m intentionally avoiding extra lighting to save resources, I had to improvise: - Tray Rotation: I rotate the seedling tray multiple times a day to ensure even exposure to the weak March sunlight. - DIY Support: For the most stretched seedlings, a bent wire acts as a crutch to prevent them from collapsing. Interestingly, the tomato and cucumber plants in the same tray show no issues – their stems stay compact. Seems like veggies are better adapted to low-light conditions than cannabis! Nutrients & Alfa Boost: An Experiment Even though my Biobizz Lightmix should provide enough nutrients for the first weeks, I tested a sample of Alfa Boost (freebie from the grow shop) during watering. The product claims to boost roots and stress resistance – perfect for my light-stressed babies. So far, no negative reactions, but no explosive growth either. Slow Growth – No Cause for Concern The plants are growing just millimeters per day, but that’s okay. My focus is on building sturdy, resilient plants, not speed. Once days get longer and sunnier, growth should pick up. They’ll stay indoors until mid-May anyway – plenty of time to bulk up. Next Steps & Tweaks - Transplanting in 1–2 Weeks: Once the first true leaf pairs emerge, they’ll move to small pots with my Biobizz All-Mix blend. - First Topping Soon: Once the plants hit 4–5 nodes, I’ll top them to encourage bushier growth. Week 2 Takeaway: Patience is key! Even in suboptimal conditions, I trust Dutch Passion’s resilient genetics. Fingers crossed for greener progress next week. The stretch is slowly coming to an end, and now it’s all about bud production!🌱 All three ladies are developing nicely without any noticeable deficiencies or issues so far. Mid to late in the week, I spotted the first trichomes starting to glisten – always an exciting moment! Next week I’ll start removing a few fan leaves to let more light through, but for now, they’re cruising along just fine. Let’s see how juicy these berries get! 🍓✨
