Early week 6 update (i'll add more pictures and comments as needed): Unfortunately I hit some challenges! Light got way too close and stunted growth for a day. I noticed it on tips closest to the light only. Raised lamp to 22 inches. Indica bagseed (plant in the center front) got too stacked: stuff like leaves on top of each other with lots of moisture, no light/airflow penetration, etc. I did some basic LST, leaf tucking, net tucking, to open her up and go sideways more a bit at first. It helped a bit. Unfortunately aug 27, had to get more aggressive on this beast and remove 3 shade leaves on the right side. not happy about defoliating, but had to do it. Will see how she takes it and then look at left side on a later day. Growing the first time is educational and actually therapeutic in today's world for me. I've already learned so many lessons for the net time: don't need such a yuge pot, lamp brightness/distance, air circulation!!! Thank you to everyone that responds with positive encouragement/messaging, it really helps. Adding two more fans to help air circulation aug 28. hopefully it reduces the need to desecrate the plants! Meanwhile the plants in back (purple canyon) want to stretch their faces off, esp. the one in back left, so it is a balance. Week 2 of flower for these girls. I decided to use a lesser dose of nutes because I noticed after a few days after my feed last week that there may have been some leaf burn. -I changed up the nutrients a little and also finished putting up my inline fan - pulling fresh air from outside in for CO2. I simply used ducts for it. Now that cooler air is coming in from outside I can slowly turn up my lights to 900 watts, I’ll see how they do in about a day or 2 more and then the lights will switch to 1000watts. -Did some more defoliation. The leaves grow so fast!! Took 2 days to do all my plants lol I’m trying to do it every week or other week -The plants are drinking a lot more than they used to, I’m now feeding water every second day and nutes every second day! They’re growing so fast before my eyes It’s such a cool feeling seeing all my hard work coming along, with the first buds popping up and looking like real weed now. Feeling motivated! 😇

W6 - GRETA 🌱is doing well. I defoliate some leaves from top brunches (compare with week 5) just to make the top canopy slightly less dense. That will allow more sunlight receive by lower brunches a specially when they in the flowering period. Slowly buds get covered with trichomes 🎍 Happy times 🙂

Kiki gets her flowers. Increasing the watering frequency (note the "w" on her schedule) as she started to wilt on day 4. In theory, she only has two weeks left, but I think she may use the extea time to bulk up. thw color is starting to fade on the fan leaves close to the flowers. I am also doing a partial defoliation everyday.

Apple Strudel AKA Mystery 2 is a beast! Love watching this one do her thing. She might have quit growing up, but she is making up for it in the bud sites, they are thick ☺️

Day 96 Had to tie more branches up! They’re starting to get really heavy so they’re bending. Looking good!! Day 97 Nothing to report 🤙🏼 Day 98 Really starting to see the hairs turn brown. Getting close! Day 99 Brown hairs developing and starting to curl in slightly. This is definitely going to be 2 separate harvests. The one plant (which I believe is a different strain) is going to be ready much quicker. Day 100! Finally got a good picture of the trichomes! All clear still. They have a while to go! Day 101 Starting to really watch the brown hairs closely. They say once 70-80% of the brown hairs have curled in, that’s the best time to harvest. I will mix that train of thought with keeping an eye on the trichomes to see when they start to get cloudy and I should be able to harvest at the right time. Day 102 Added some more water this morning. It’s working out to be about 5 gallons of water needed every 3 days. Going to continue to just add to the reservoir and once I think they are close I’ll do a ripen week and then a 3 day flush. Kapow!
